2. Poster
The poster links in with the
trailer as it uses the same shots
used in the trailer, the eyes
which change and link with the
trailer, the eyes make the
character look as if this not
human which also links in this
the film, also the trailer and the
poster use similar typography,
the white and orange bold text
which dissolves.
Science elements are included
on the poster as they are in the
trailer because of the visuals of
drugs and scientific facts and on
the poster there’s DNA links on
the top left corner of the poster
which are secondary graphics.
3. Several print and digital posters were issued by the distributor Universal
Pictures for Lucy, with the theatrical release poster including the tagline: "The
average person uses 10% of their brain capacity. Imagine what she could do
with 100%" On August 15, 2014, Universal Pictures released two advance
posters for the upcoming comedy film Dumb and Dumber To that spoofed
the theatrical release poster for Lucy, also a Universal Pictures-distributed
film. The two spoof posters were made public via Tweets from the Twitter
accounts of Jim Carrey and Jef Daniels.
On April 2, 2014, the first trailer for Lucy was released. It was described as
having "hit the Internet with the force of a punch to the head," with reviewers
stating that it is "promising a wild ride with Johansson rendering people
unconscious with a flick of her wrist,“ ", however, its trailers were categorized
as being starkly different than how the film actually plays out; for example,
the film not being as action-packed. A behind-the-scenes preview of the
film was released on July 10.

4. This was the spoof poster which was realsed
over social networking sites such as twitter,
this linked the two film as one is emerging
after another, the poster features similar
things to the official poster which makes it
instantly recognisable but differs in a comedic
way by also using things people associate
with the film dumber and dumber 2, for
example his broken tooth.
Otherwise the typography, close up visual,
colours and the eyes are the same to the
actual poster of the film.
The promotional posters shows Jim Carey’s
character Lloyd and Jeff Daniels’ character Harry in
a black-and-white modern imagery with luminous
eyes; similar to Scarlett Johansson’s Lucy
character. The tagline reads: ‘The average person
uses 10% of their brain capacity. Imagine what he
could do with 1%.’ This plays on the words which
features on the Lucy poster: ‘The average person
uses 10% of their brain capacity. Imagine what she
could do with 100%.’ Both Carey and Daniels
posted their new posters on Twitter over the
weekend which resulted in thousands of retweets
and shares.
