Who is Lucy? <ul><li>The oldest human fossil ever found. </li></ul><ul><li>Found in 1974 in Hadar, Ethiopia. </li></ul><ul><li>Estimated height of about 3 feet. </li></ul><ul><li>Mixed between ape and human features. </li></ul><ul><li>Chimp size brain with smaller skull. </li></ul><ul><li>Estimated to have lived 3.2 million years ago. </li></ul>

What has Lucy taught Us About Ancient history in Africa? <ul><li>Estimated 2,000 people living in the world. </li></ul><ul><li>Survived by gathering wild plants and scavenging meat stronger animals killed. </li></ul><ul><li>Stone tools discovered 1.9 million years ago. </li></ul><ul><li>Fire discovered 800,000 years ago which developed human brains. </li></ul>
