2. Adulthood is a social realism film close to ours. This poster involves the most
important characters in the movie. We've looked at this carefully and would like
to use the same concept. But as a group we feel like the color clashes with the
genre of the film.
3. The establishing shot behind the main character is an idea we like. Something like
the London skyline. Use of Colour and Lighting: Three colours are used primarily
within this poster: Blue, White and Orange. The background of the image shows
a clear blue sky with white clouds. This connotes the characters freedom or
attempts for freedom within the plot. Use of Images The poster only shows one
image of what the audience can see is the main character. She is taking up at least
2/3 of the poster implying her importance to the story
4. “will restore faith in British film”, these quotes are all in a slightly less opaque color than the
main heading and actors names, helping this stand out. The two men that are sat leaning
against the yellow wall, seem to be split down the middle, by the 'I' in the word shifty. This
gives off the idea that in the story something could happen that means they could lose
contact or become enemy's.
5. The text used in this poster is is bold and slightly more rounded to give it that
“ghetto” look. The film name is Kidulthood however the title is all in
capitals, except the “i” which may suggest that someone in the film may not have
a place within the community of “kids” for example
