It is important for a film to have a marketing campaign, as it will help the film get
more popular before it comes out which will allows the movie to gain more
money in then box office if the film has a good marketing campaign.
Poster
The poster of Shaun of the dead has the
main three characters in the centre
wielding weapons, the picture but it seems
like they are on a piece of paper there is a
horde of zombies trying to reach onto the
centre to grab the characters in the centre.
In the second poster it shows Shaun in a underground train holding flowers
whilst there is a huge amount of zombies cramped into the train which allows
the viewer to see how the much zombies there are in a short amount of space.
Trailers
The trailer does some really funny things right of the jump with which seems to
be a zombies even the sound is what is expected of a zombie, but the camera
pans up and it is Shaun yawning. The trailer quickly speeds up and has a
montage with Simon Pegg voice over a montage with all the comedy aspects of
the movie that will entice a lot of comedy fans.

In the mid 2000’s when Shaun of the Dead was being advertised buses and
billboards were a big part of advertising as they would reach a large amount of
people as the internet was in it’s beginning as the internet didn’t get mainstream
until the later 2008.

There was a Zombie walk held by ZenithOptimedia on behalf of United
International pictures with infected zones ppearing in London and other mains
cities in the UK. The zombie walk was held on April 9th 2004 to promote the
launch of Shaun of the Dead. The event received positive feedback which also
lead to a lot of people watching the film which was boosted the people who
watched the film in cinemas.
