London Stock Exchange Group Page 4
Direct Connectivity
Direct and dedicated connectivity to our markets providing flexible connectivity options, including a
client managed (CMC) or managed (Extranex) communications service. Enables clients to directly
connect to the Group’s markets from a location of their choice, with scalable access options of
10Gb. Access to production and disaster recovery facilities, included as standard.
Exchange Hosting
With our co-location services in London and Milan, clients are able to place their equipment
directly in the same secure and highly resilient data centres as the trading systems. This provides
connectivity to all of the Group’s markets via the ultra-low latency hosting network, as well as
connectivity to other members of the established and diversified financial community hosted with
in the facilities.
International Connectivity Hubs
Client access LSEG Services via local connectivity infrastructure in key geographies, enabling
fast, direct and dedicated access and enabling rapid deployment.
Third Party Access
Access our services through intermediaries such as accredited Network Service Providers (NSPs)
and Vendor Access Network providers (VAN).

London Stock Exchange Group Page 6
LSEG has its primary data centre geographically equidistant between the Equinix
facility in Slough and NYSE Euronext in Basildon providing excellent average
latency across venues.
8. Hosting a Financial Community
London Stock Exchange Group Page 8
Typical usage models used within our facility:
• Clients operating decision making systems within our co-lo - quick decisions using lowest
latency market data feeds for passive and aggressive market strategies
• Clients deploying strategies that seek opportunities between markets – using our central
location to gain good average latency benefits between other venues
• Clients including Exchange Data in mesh or backbone connectivity – bringing own fibres
into the Exchange Hosting facility
Exchange Hosting – growing financial community/hub in London:
• Broad mix of Proprietary Firms (Members and Non-Members), Prime Brokers, Service
Providers and Vendors
• Prime Brokers and Non-Members
Well established financial services community served by numerous brokers
Prime Brokers provide space within their racks for their clients, via cross connects within
the Co-lo space or routed from outside our facility
Growing community of users able to connect to one another via short cross connects
9. Exchange Wireless
London Stock Exchange Group Page 9
Provides millimetre wave wireless connectivity between LSE City of London datacentre and
the Equinix data centre in Slough, significantly reducing latency between these key locations.
• Optimised path with the network deviating only 3% from the geodesic straight line between the
locations enabling data transmission to be up to 40% quicker than traditional low latency fibre routes.
• Network offering a shared bandwidth service with a total capacity of 1Gb delivered through the use of
millimetre wave technology – more bandwidth available for trading clients enabling greater flexibility and
transmission of data (including raw market data sets).
• Service utilises numerous repeater stations between the two end locations, with an average distance
between each repeater of less than 3 miles. Anticipated that clients will retain fibre connectivity for
resiliency.
• Signal strengths improved by installing additional links and reducing the distance between each
repeater, to reduce the impact of rain.
