This document provides the weekly awards and top golf performers from the Lone Star Conference for the given dates. Oscar Spolander from West Texas A&M is named the men's player of the week twice. Various women are also named player of the week. Derek Oland from Midwestern State had a strong performance, shooting 7-under over his final nine holes to help his team win the tournament. Cameron University finished third in a tournament led by Cullen Stahl's career-low round. Midwestern State claimed their second tournament win for the season with all five players shooting par or better in the same round.

GOLFERS OF THE WEEK
MEN’S
Cullen Stahl, Cameron University, JR, Lawton, Okla., Eisenhower HS
Led the Aggies with a career best second place finish at The Classic at The Tribute. He tied a career low with a
66 in round two of the tournament, and paired with his first round 72, carded a career low score for 36 holes
with a 138. Stahl finished just one stroke behind the first place finisher, and his score helped Cameron finish in
third as a team, just five strokes back of the leader.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Derek Oland, Midwestern State University, overcame a slow start over his first nine holes to go 7-under with
five birdies and an eagle on his final hole over his last nine holes to propel Midwestern State to a team win at
The Classic at The Tribute. The senior from McKinney also logged his third consecutive Top 10 finish by taking
fourth with a two-round, 5-under total of 139. His final round 69 was his third of the season and 18th of his
career. Oland also recorded his 39th and 40th career par-or-better scores at the 36-hole event.

Cameron finished in third place at The Classic at The Tribute carding a 574 in the 36-hole tournament. Cullen
Stahl powered the Aggies second round 283 with a career low 66, giving him a 138 and a second place finish.
Bradley Ferrell finished in 11th, while Zander Winston finished in 13th and Corey Bounds finished in 21st. Dylan
McClure rounded out the group with a 39th place finish. The Aggie JV team finished in seventh with Justin Jang
leading the group with an eighth place finish and a 142. Cameron will now head into the offseason and get
ready for their spring schedule.
Midwestern State
Midwestern State claimed its second win over the season firing a 7-under total of 569 at The Classic at The
Tribute hosted by Texas A&M-Commerce... The round of 279 was the sixth lowest and program history and
lowest since the Mustangs fired a 280 at the same tournament in 2013-14... It was the first time in program
history each of MSU’s five team members have carded a par-or-better score in the same round... Senior Derek
Oland eagled his last hole to propel the Mustangs to the win by one stroke over Texas Wesleyan... Oland notched
his third consecutive Top 10 finish by taking fourth with a 5-under total of 139... Oland carded his third round
in the 60s this season and 18th of his career... Oland’s final round 69 was his 40th career par-or-better score...
Sophomore Thomas Smith also notched his third consecutive Top 10 finish placing sixth with a 3-under total of
141... Smith fired a season-best score of 68 in the second round of The Classic at the Tribute... Sophomore Jared
Baker took an 11th-place finish carding rounds of 73 and 71 for a even-par 144... It was Baker’s third par-or-better
round of the season... Sophomore Luke Thomas had a streak of four consecutive team countable rounds
snapped despite logging his best round of the campaign with an even-par 72... Thomas finished 17th with a
2-over total of 146... Junior Ian Gallagher notched his first par-or-better round since carding three of them as a
freshman in 2012-13 with a second-round 71 at The Classic at The Tribute... Gallagher placed 21st with a two-round
total of 147 (+3)...
