In today’s lesson, we are going to
• state the importance of demonstrating love & forgiveness,
• identify the effects of unforgiveness on family relationships, and
• examine biblical references illustrating forgiveness within a
family structure.

If family members hurt
each other, they should
do the following:
1. identify the problem,
2. deal with it calmly,

In the story, Joseph is an example of how forgiveness
can bring a family together.
Although Joseph was betrayed by his brothers and sold
into slavery, he was able to forgive his brothers.
He realized that everything is a part of God’s plan to
save the future generation.
