This document discusses the design of lightweight and solid slabs. For lightweight slabs, it calculates dead and live loads, ultimate load, bending moments, required steel area, minimum and maximum steel, and shear forces. It also includes details of lightweight slab construction. For solid slabs, it similarly calculates loads and ultimate load. It then sizes the slab based on the bending moment and steel area, determining the diameter and spacing of reinforcing bars. Solid slab construction details are also presented.
