Marketing Activities, Tools And Strategies
Founded less than 2 years ago with a small band of 30 exceptionally talented young people, the
Never Settle motto of the Chinese startup company called Oneplus popped into the headlines of
tech magazines by creating an amazing flagship killer handset dubbed Oneplus One. Few even
heard of its name back then and now, you will find long queues like that of Apple and Samsung,
such that it had to create an invite system, amping up the demand and a whole new secondary
market of reselling invites. How did it manage to sell over 1 million sets in just 18 months, with a
gross revenue of $300 million (as of 2014) and serving over 35 countries including whole of
Europe with almost no marketingbudget? The powerhouse behind its galloping growth lies in its
effective marketing and risk control and this essay will discuss the key marketing activities, tools
and strategies a company uses to build its repute, and in this context, as a premium smartphone
manufacturer.
According to AMA (2013), Marketing is defined as the activity, set of institutions, and processes for
creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers,
clients, partners, and society at large. It manages conveying the right item, to the right individuals at
the right cost and at the ideal time.
Marketing is the link that connect customers with the organisation as it is the only department who
knows the holistic nature of customers through it activity, such as market research.

Thomas Paine Influence
Would the revolutionary war in the New World have developed without Thomas Paine? Political
activist Thomas Paine created the first influential piece of writing, Common Sense, about retrieving
American independence over Great Britain. Common Sense was a famous 50 page pamphlet
discussing the possibility of creating a democratic republican party, and advocating independence
from Great Britain. Thomas Painehad ideas of independence before he wrote Common Sense, but
the American Public and his comrades motivated him even more about the prospect of
independence, and influenced him to write the pamphlet. Thomas Paine, contributing as a major
factor in the development of the American Revolution, was persistent on enforcing his ideas, and
even helped... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He had already written papers about the injustices and cruelties the Americans had to face while
being overruled by Britain. Thomas Paine was the only American who had the audacity to write
about gaining independence from Britain. He was the one who believed in America and its
citizens to become a world superpower, and to grow into making their beloved country special.
Written in his essay Age of Reason, he said, I saw, or at least I thought I saw, a vast scene opening
itself to the world in the affairs of America; and it appeared to me, that unless the Americans
changed the plan they were then pursuing, with respect to the government of England, and declared
themselves independent, they would not only involve themselves in a multiplicity of new
difficulties, but shut out the prospect that was then offering itself to mankind through their means,
(44). In this passage of The Age of Reason, he stated his motive to write Common Sense. His
motive to write Common Sense was for his patriots and the country as a whole. Not to make his
political status rise, but to help America progress as an independent country. It wasn t about him
and his career as an author, but about having colonial unity amongst it s citizens, and fight together
to make America advance. Not only was their motive from the American public, but also from his
fellow comrades, like Ben Franklin. They would frequently discuss upon this matter of
independence and other international news, and this would have a significant influence into the
writing of his persuasive essay. He spent hours daily discussing with his fellow moderns. It is
obvious that Paine incorporated the conversations and correspondence with his compatriots into his
essay. The long discussions that he had with Ben Franklin and his other friends gave him good
ideas and a good understanding of their current situation. These long discussions were

Repercussions In Shakespeare s Romeo And Juliet
When people do not take the time to think things through, and instead rush into them, the
repercussions can outweigh the benefits. In Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet, Friar Lawrence warns
Romeo they stumble that run fast (II.3). The Friar knows that Romeo s quick actions may lead to
large consequences, although he still agrees to marry the two lovers that same day. Both Romeo
and Juliet show haste in their feelings. In addition, Capulet rushes into creating a marriage for Juliet
without considering her reaction. The characters of Romeo and Juliet behaved without thinking
about the future problems of their actions, thus contributing to the deaths of two star crossed
lovers. Romeo and Juliet fall in love without having any knowledge of the other s family, and
instead base their love on physical attraction. Romeo s first reaction to Juliet is to describe her...

After hearing about her marriage with Paris, Juliet becomes so upset that she threatens to marry
Romeo, as her parents still do not know about her marriage. At the end of Act III, she says I ll to
the Friar to know his remedy/ If all else fail, myself have power to die (III.5). After considering
suicide for a second time, Friar Lawrence suggests that she take the potion, believing that if she
has enough bravery to kill herself, she will have enough bravery to appear as if dead and
possibly never awaken. Juliet did not understand the permanence of a marriage at the time of her
wedding, and is now forced to marry a second man while she is still married to Romeo. She
accepts the offer and takes a fast and cowardly escape. Due to Capulet s haste in marrying Juliet to
raise the Capulet s spirits after Tybalt s death, he inadvertently causes her to become even more
distressed, leading her to drinking the fateful

Healing Touch Research Paper
Imagine being on your death bed and with the touch of one person your health starts to progress

My super power has always been present since as long as I can remember and tried to out shine
all the super powers out there. For B143 it outshined the rest. It was a regular winter day. I am

Progressive Reform
The rise of modern American liberalism throughout the history
Having been born in Europe in the epoch of Renaissance and Reformation, the liberalism has
become an inevitable part of the United States. When someone and somewhere talks about the
liberal movement, everybody will mention the American liberalism, which has undergone several
stages of its development and transformed into modern liberalism. This liberalism allows the United
States to be one of the most powerful states in the world.
Since its origin, the United States did not know different political philosophy but liberalism in its
democratic constitutional form. The liberal doctrine in the United States was influenced by some
factors the impact of the American Revolution ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It claims on different freedoms of people despite their gender, race, and age. Also, one of the
principles of American liberalism is the separation of state and church. The main aim of
liberalism is to promote the general welfare of the American citizens. However, sometimes the
liberalism was too controversial. For example, the involvement of the United States to the wars
violated the rights of people. Speaking about the WWI, George William Norris wrote that war
brings no prosperity to the great mass of common and patriotic citizens. It increases the cost of
living of those who toil and those who already must strain every effort to keep soul and body
together. War brings prosperity to the stock gambler on Wall Street to those who are already in
possession of more wealth than can be realized or enjoyed (149).
Such eager of American people to live in a free society is well understandable and can be
explained by several factors as well. The ultimate goal of the American social ideal is equality of
opportunity and individual initiative. These are not born of bureaucracy. This ideal is the
expression of the spirit of our people. This ideal obtained at the birth of Republic. It was the ideal
of Lincoln; it is the ideal upon which the nation has risen to unparalleled greatness (205). To
another word, it is a heritage of all generations, which made their

Lava Lake Research Paper
The Lava Lake in Kilauea is Rising
There is a lava lake that sits within the Kilauea Volcano at the Halema uma u Crater in Hawaii,
and it has risen to its highest levels in years. So high in fact, that it s splattering above the crater
rim and creating heat and loud popping sounds. The lava lake was formed in 2008. It s only about
70 feet from the rim of the crater today.
Visitors Awed by Rising and Falling Lava Lake
Yesterday, the lava lake travelled to 90 feet from the rim. Such activity is deemed normal; however,
it is uncertain if it will continue to rise. USGS geologists believe that it s caused from inflation that
started suddenly on Tuesday and is expected to last into Thursday. During this time, magma rises

Visitors at the Jagger Museum (observation points and around the crater drive are catching quite a
show. This is something that doesn t pose a threat to any residents of the area and is actually quite
a treat to experience the show of the spattering lava lake for those who travel to the volcano. Lava
flow continues from vents at the southeast edge of the crater at Pu u O O.
Lava Lake Forming Since September
The lava lake is caused from the eruption of the Kilauea volcano back in September, which has
continuously sent lava in the direction of the Puna district in Hawaii. It s not currently a threat to the
health of visitors or residents. The Kilauea volcano continues to erupt at two separate locations.
One is located within the Halema uma u Crater, which is where the rising lava lake can be viewed
from the Jagger Museum. The second is the Pu u O O located about ten miles east of the summit
near the East rift.
The Pu u O O area is not accessible to the public and is an area of active lava travel. There is no
lava reaching the ocean or causing any harm to any residents. At night the fumes and the lights
from the plume of lava puts on a dramatic show in Hawaii and is quite dramatic to view.
Observations from the Pu u o location show that there s been no change to the percentage of ground

Time Travel In Literature From The Anglo-Saxon Period And...
For a brief moment suppose that time travel exists. A conundrum that has influenced our movies,
our stories, and proved impossible by the laws of physics, is now a reality. What is the first thing
to do: Kill Hitler? Save the Library of Alexandria? Suppose that a time traveler has a great love for
literature, specifically literature from the Anglo Saxon period and the English Renaissance. These
two periods had vastly different societies, and due to this, vastly different literature. If the time
traveler were to compare the literature from both periods, they would see that as time progresses,
the themes in the literature from these periods shift from the bravado of glory and honor to the
quieter aspects of life.
While time travel may not be an opportunity at the moment, it is possible to step into the traveler
s shoes by examining the historical context surrounding these periods. Foremost, the Anglo
Saxon period, was a time when brawn, not brains, won the crown. The Celtic peoples, or Gauls,
were loose knit tribal people who were chased to Great Britain by the Romans, and built Hadrian
s Wall to protect themselves. The Germanic people were very similar to the Celtic people: both
used human sacrifice and had warrior kings. This was a time of the Vikings, for adventure. It was
a time when the old gods Dagda, Lugh, Odin, Thor, and many others ruled. In the midst of all of
this barbarism, it was oddly progressive, as women could divorce their husbands and own property.

Pros And Cons Of Bosnian Genocide
Often, there is conflict amongst states that escalates, eventually, into war. With these wars, comes
death and immense devastation; devastation that takes form in many ways. The worst of them are
the human rights violations that occur, leaving behind a pain that is often rarely treated or
addressed. Through the approach, transitional justice, victims of these horrible crimes against
humanity have a system that allows them to seek some form of justice. Focus on the Bosnian
genocide will allow for one to see how a specific case of transitional justice was played out and

The worse of them took place at Srebrenica, where seven thousand men and boys were murdered.
The women were and children were separated; sending the women to rape camps where they
were raped and tortured for months until pregnant. This all occurred in a town that was a safe
haven according to the UN s standards but, to most, never was but merely under the weak
protection of the UN. The victims, which consisted of men, women, and children from as young
as an infant to as old as the elderly were not spared. It is estimated that over one hundred and
forty thousand people were killed, twenty thousand women were raped and over four million
people were displaced. Till this day the bodies and location of those who disappeared are still being
searched for throughout the state of Bosnia with around eight thousand people still missing from
the war.
Originally, the response from the international actors was to turn a blind eye to the atrocities that
were occurring. The first photos illustrating the horrors that were occurring in Bosnia were
brought to the public s attention in 1992, yet the international community still refused to
intervene, despite the outrage and similarity to the nineteen forty five holocaust. The plan was to,
instead, make six safe zone areas that were to be monitored by peace keepers from the UN. But
proved to be ineffective due to the of lack of weapons and the policy of no firing

The Independent Record Labels of the 1950’s and 1960’s
The Independent Record Labels of the 1950 s and 1960 s History of Music Production Eric Eller
Throughout the 1950 s and 1960 s, a wave of new musical movements by independent record labels
and new artists emerged in the United States. This movement is captured in the stories of those
label creators and owners, and in the turbulent journey through their successes and failures. The first
emergence was fueled by multiple factors: competitive economic circumstances, up and coming
local musical talent in conjunction with the independent labels and studio owners, and the
commercially viable musical interest and curiosity of consumers in these local artists. An article
poses another causative factor that makes sense: when rock and roll... Show more content on

Philips would take a while to realize that a huge prospect was about to enter his life and studio.
Elvis Presley, a young truck driver, had come in to record two songs at a cost of $8 as a birthday
present for his mother. Philips was actually out of the office so his secretary Marion Keisker
recorded Presley. Foreseeing talent, Keisker put aside a copy of the acetate master. Keisker
continued to advocate to Philips the idea of investing in Presley s commercially promising
musical potential. Philips eventually agreed to give Presley a try and matched him up with
local guitarist Scotty Moore and bass player Bill Black. This group became quite successful, and
together, under the direction of Philips, helped to influence and redefine the rockabilly genre of
music at the time. It shows Sun s success that by 61, Phillips was able to buy a Presto 900 P
recorder. Elvis Presley s presence at the label allowed Philips to once again upgrade his system,
this time opting for a Tube 76 D broadcast console and two new Ampex 350 tape recorders. The
growing sophistication of his studio rig is a testimony to the success that he accomplished with
such sensations as Presley. He delayed one tape head slightly in relation to the other, which made
the signature Sun Sound. While Philips did find success for a while with artist Elvis Presley; Elvis
popularity outgrew the facilities and financial capabilities of Sun

Temper Vs Birth Order Essay
I was the second/last child born in my family. I feel that birth order has had a true effect on my
behavior and my personality. It s very easy to compare me with my brother. My brother is the
oldest. He strives to achieve his goal and , as of right now, he s doing a pretty well job with
striving. Comparing him with me, I am more of a social person. I like to hangout with my
friends and be social. I am also more humorous than many people may think. He is more of a
serious person. Also, he sometimes worries about me, only because he wants me to make sure I
achieve my goals just as he is trying to achieve his. Achieving goals isn t just something my
brother does just because he is first born. An Iranian culture is very goal oriented. My dad
always told me that if I want to pursue a career as a lawyer or a doctor, I must do what I can to
get to that goal. Since then, I have been interning at the Milton City Court and Milton Police
Department to help me get to my goal to be a lawyer. Nature vs. Nurture has played a huge part in

It is estimated that ISIS daily income from oil sales is around $3 million dollars for an estimated
annual income of $1.3 and $2 billion, making it the world s best funded terrorist group. (Levitt,
2014) In addition to the sales of oil on the black market to fund their organization, ISIS has the
ability to rent house, tax the population, and charging for utilities like water and electricity. It is
estimated the ISIS brings in about $900 million a year from residents and businessmen in
territories under its control. (Engel, 2015). With the immense funding that ISIS has from illegal
activities, oil sales and taxations of people living in areas under their control, specific measures
must be taken to slow and eliminate their funding. Due to the income coming from black market oil
sales, it is imperative to target the middle men moving the oil, as well as target those who refine,
transport and assist the black market oil sales that contribute to the ISIS revenue. There also needs
to be collaboration with local governments to assist them in regaining control over areas where
ISIS, or other terrorist organization, have strong holds. These strong hold where the local
government has no control are the areas that ISIS and other terrorist organizations are able to

Dual Relationship Of Dual Relationships
Dual relationships in therapy practice are identified as an ethical issue and a boundary violation
(Sawyer, and Prescott, 2010). According to Sawyer and Prescott (2010), this is based in part on
the concepts that the relationships are not equal, the client is vulnerable, and that the primary
responsibility of the clinician is to make care of the client the first priority. Dual relationships
are defined by Syme (2003), as arising in any situation where a therapist assumes more than one
significantly different role either simultaneously or sequentially with a client . This type of
relationship typically refers to two roles overlapping each other. A type of a dual relationship
that I could imagine occurring is taking on family or friends as clients. This is a dual
relationship because the therapist is acting as a professional and as a friend or family member to
the client. An example of this would be as follows, Susan is attempting to enroll her 6 year
daughter into an elite private school. The school requires that an intellectual assessment be
completed before the final enrollment stages are complete. Susan asks her brother, a licensed child
psychologist to perform the assessment. The results revealed that there were some low
performance areas and the little girl s IQ was not up to par with the school s requirement. For this
reason, the school decided not to move forward with the enrollment process. Susan was upset with

Cerebral Vascular Accident ( Cva )
Cerebral Vascular Accident

Unit 4 Capstone Project: Cerebral Vascular Accident (CVA)
Kaplan University
08/03/2015
Cerebral Vascular Accident also known as a stroke, happens when the artery that supplies the
blood flow to your brain becomes substantially blocked or completely blocked ( Overview Stroke
Mayo Clinic, 2015). Without adequate blood supply the brain cells begin to die or become
damaged. It is very important to get medical assistance as soon as you think you may be having a
stroke, this will help lessen the damage done to the brain ( Overview Stroke Mayo Clinic, 2015).
The common cause of CVA/stroke is the hardening of the arteries wall, this allows fatty deposits
to form on the blood vessels causing damage to them, which can lead to clots forming in the blood
vessel( Stroke or Cerebral Vascular Accident (CVA), 2015). CVA/stoke also can be caused by
bleeding in the brain or blood vessels busting as a result of high blood pressure ( Stroke or Cerebral
Vascular Accident (CVA),2015).
There are different types of stroke that a person can suffer from. One is called Ischemic Stroke,
this happens when arteries that go to the brain become small or blocked. Common types of
Ischemic stroke would be called Thrombotic stroke, when a blood clot is in one of the artery
leading to the brain and the other is Embolic stroke, this is when a clot or debris are formed in the
body and taken through the blood stream into a narrow

dentist twice a year, more if he or she recommends it.
Don t smoke or drink alcohol. Drinking too much alcohol may cause oral or throat cancer, and
using alcohol and tobacco together increases the chance of these diseases.
Chew sugar free gum and drink lots of water to keep salvia flowing. Lack of saliva, often caused
by medications seniors take, can cause dry mouth. Dry mouth increases the chance of developing
mouth cancer. Seniors should let their dentist know if they have loose or painful teeth, bleeding
gums or lumps, bumps or swelling. During a dental appointment, the dentist will check dentures or

area of interaction would be Environment. I narrowed it down to two topics which were : Palm
Oil Destruction and China Pollution. I already knew quite a lot about both of the topics, but I
decided to go with a topic that affects us and the world. Therefore, I chose Palm OilDestruction
which affects us in many ways. I will make a video about an environmental issue and post it on
Youtube, to gain awareness and to learn more about this topic, those are my goals. Palm is one of
the largest on going environmental disasters currently. (Care2) A massive force that is pushing

I planned to reach my goal by keeping in mind the specifications I had set out to achieve. I
focused on one topic the whole time which was Environmental harm that Palm Oil was causing.
I also have to meet all my due dates and not procrastinate. First step was to get all the research
done. I had some great sources that combined really well to form the whole outline of my video
as well as the body of the video. I then started making my video which took me some time as I
was working with a new program. I also ran into some problems but I was still able to meet my
due date. Since I am not a tech person my video didn t turn out amazing or anything but it had all
the important information so I think the viewer understood the message. My other goal was to
cover every aspect of palm oil such as; how it affects the environment, and how it affects people.
My main specifications are: to meet all my due dates I set out for myself, find well rounded
information on Palm oil and create a video that has all the information I that covers everything.
Selection of Sources: I used 8 different sources that each focused on a different aspect of Palm
Oil. Source A was by far my favorite source it had all the information and it was organized very
well. I used that as my outline for my video, I just added more information from other sources.
Some sources had lots of

The Original Riot Grrrls By Elizabeth Cady Stanton
The Original Riot Grrrls The 19th Amendment guarantees a vote for women in the United States of
America, but how did this constitutional change happen? Many females prior to this
accomplishment faced struggles from external forces that denied their rights and capabilities.
Feminism and equal rights were and still are prominent in American society. In order to provide
women of the future what is rightfully theirs, women during the 1700s have taken control of their
opinions and used their strong will to make the necessary changes in American society. During the
Seneca Falls Convention, Elizabeth Cady Stantonexclaimed in her address, The right is ours. The
question now is: how shall we get possession of what rightfully belongs to us, (Stanton). The
leaders, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mottof the Seneca Falls Convention, along with other
female leaders, displayed civil disobedience, provided powerful lectures, and organized conventions
that gave a new perspective on gender equality.
Women s rights in America have been a major concern ever since the thirteen colonies sought their
independence from Great Britain. Abigail Adams embodied an important role in women s property
and equal education rights. Abigail Adams, was married to John Adams, a founding father and
major contributor to the completion of the Declaration of Independence (United States). As her

Deadliest Shooting In American History
On October 1 2015, tragic news traumatized people from all over United States of America and
even, people from all over the world. A 26 year old student at Umpqua Community College of
Roseburg, Oregon, Christopher Sean Harper Mercer, opened fire in a classroom and gunned down
nine people (students and a teacher) and injured nine others. A survivor from that incident,
Anastasia Boylan, told the news that the shooter singled out the Christians in the classroom and
that before shooting the students he asked them about their religion and told the Christian students
that they would be meeting God in a minute. Then, he shot them. During the investigation, the
investigators also found blog posts from an email address which they associated with Harper

The Decline Of Western Civilization III, By Keith Morris

I don t see how the Punk culture, or the way they live their lives, to be a resistance to the

Compare And Contrast David And Goliath
The story of David and Goliath from the Old Testament has been told not just from the Bible, but
also from art. The people of Florence identified themselves with David because they shared the
belief that they defeated their own enemy with the help of God. Three artists sculpted a portrayal of
David; Donatello, Michelangelo, and Bernini. Within each period, a different sculpture was created
of Davidto represent new art ideas and techniques. Artists from the early Renaissancestrived to
portray lifelike human forms with accurate proportions and realistic clothing. They developed new
techniques to give paintings a more three dimensional form in an effort to better understand their
subjects. Donatello s bronze statue of David is the first free standing nude sculpture since the
Roman Era. It depicts David with a slight smile, posed with his foot on Goliath s head after the
defeat. The statue is completely naked, adding a hat and boots which shows a... Show more content

The church was in need of a powerful style of art to use in the fight against Martin Luther and
that is exactly what Bernini presented to them. Bernini s David is more powerful, dramatic,
muscular and frightening than any of the other statues. It was said that viewers could not stare
into the sculpture because they were scared of the rock being thrown at them. Artists were more
correct when it came to the human body. It portrays David is the middle of the battle against
Goliath. It was one of the first statues that involved its surroundings. David s body position is
powerful from all angles and shows a very fierce facial expression in anger, ambition and
concentration. Another significant part of this sculpture is that David is wearing a robe to
demonstrate movement which was encouraged during the Baroque period. Bernini shows a David

Middle Passage is a novel filled with different techniques such as allusions, foreshadowing, humor,
character transitions, and many other techniques. Charles Johnson, the author of this amazing
novel wanted the readers to acknowledge the past and present events. He connects the past and the
present with many different examples. One example is when the police hit Santos for no reason.
This comparison is made very clear and simple enough for the readers to understand that police
brutality continues to this day. Charles Johnson uses such vibrant words to make the reader feel,

A Midsummer Night s Dream Compare And Contrast
In A Midsummer Night s Dream Puck and Bottom are different in many ways including the way
they behave, their sense of humour, and how they deal with their problems. Puck may be
considered a protagonist because he is the character who puts the remedy on Lysander s eyes and
corrects the love problems with the Athenian lovers. Puckmakes the mistake by putting the love
potion on Lysander s eyes, making him fall in love with Helena, forgetting Hermia. This causes
problems because Hermia is still in love with Lysander and Demetrius is in love with Hermia.
Like every protagonist, Puck fixes his mistakes and makes everything rights again. He does this by
putting the love potion on Demetrius eyes and he then falls in love with Helena. He chases... Show

On the ground, sleep sound, I ll apply, to your eye, gentle lover, remedy (III.ii.461 65). When the
lovers wake in the morning Helena and Demetrius are in love and Hermia and Lysander are in
love. Unlike Puck, Bottom deals with his problems with the craftsman by trying to be better
than them rather than helping them. Puck s spirit is very lively and humorous when he messes
up he watches the outcome and laughs at it. For example, when he applies the potion to the
wrong eyes he says Believe my King of Shadows, I mistook... and so far am I glad it so did sort,
as this their jangling I esteem a sport (III.ii.363 4). This shows how his spirit dominates the play
because Puck enjoys to interact with others while Bottom thinks he is the best at everything and
does not need the other craftsmen. The comedy surrounding Puck differs from Bottom because
Puck s sense of humour is more sophisticated than Bottom s. An example of Bottom s sense of
humour is when he uses the incorrect verb when he is performing the play for the lovers. I see a
voice. Now will I to the chink, to spy an I can hear my Thisbe s face (V.i.186 7). An example of
Puck s sense of humour is when he turned Bottom into an ass. This is more sophisticated because
Bottom does not realize that he has been turned into an ass. It is also a metaphor for Bottom s
attitude towards the other

The age of overwhelming strength and stamina governing sports is over, and the age of the

Simple Belonging System
They had passed down their system of mathematics to the ancient Babylonians.
In 498 AD, the Indian (Hindu) mathematician and astronomer Aryabhatta introduced the decimal
system when he stated, Sthanam sthanam dasha gunam. This statement means, place to place in ten
times in value. This may have been the origin of the modern ten based decimal value system used
today.
The ten number based system used with the Hindu decimal zero was adopted by Arabian
mathematicians. They had further modified it and introduced the decimal system and the concept
of zero to the Europeans during the Middle Ages.

Although no trace of such a counting method remains, we can reasonably speculate that the Maya
used a simple numbering type counting system of such as pebbles and sticks. The count could be
higher with this method with higher numbers being calculated by repeating or removing the sticks

The Maya vigesimal 20 based counting system has been found in use through numerous different

Strategies And Methods For Designing A Meeting Essay
Meeting Strategies This paper will discuss strategies and methods for designing a meeting. For
purposes of this discussion, it is time for the quarterly board of directors meeting. Unfortunately,
the meeting will be discussing low profits, pending lawsuits and high employee turnover. To add to
the difficulty of delivering bad news, the board of directors are dispersed across the country that
will require time zone and location coordination. Barrett (2011) discusses meeting strategies and
design. She suggests the following ideas, which are define the meeting purpose, consider the
audience, set an agenda, consider the meeting setting (location, seating arrangements, etc.), the
meeting time, ascertain needed information, and establish tangible end product(s).
Meeting Purpose
As Barrett (2011) suggests, one of the most important first steps is to define the meeting purpose.
The meeting organizer must evaluate whether the meeting is held to inform, persuade, instruct, or
engage. In this scenario, the meetings purpose is a hybrid of informing the board and engaging
them in solutions and directions.
Consider the audience Next, Barrett (2011) suggests consideration of the audience. For this
meeting, the board of directors, who are the decision makers, is the audience. Included along with
the board of directors, key personnel such as the budget officer and legal team ought to be
included. The meeting setting and time in this scenario will vary due to the board of

Determining The Titration Of An Unknown Solution
This experiment explores techniques of a titration, where a solution of a known concentration is
used to determine the concentration of an unknown solution. Titrations are performed with a
burette, which was created by Francois Antonie Henri Descrozilles, which contains the titrant, and a
glass container such as a beaker or flask that contains the analyte.1 The titrant is solution of a
known concentration that is slowly added to the analyte which is solution that is being analyzed to

liability companies (LLC), and corporations in which individuals uses to start their own business.
Any types of business structure that you may choose will have legal and tax implications (SBA,
2016). If I were to start my own business, I would choose a business entity structure like Limited
Liability Company(LLC). A limited liability company is a mix type of legal structure that provides
the limited liability features of a corporationand the tax efficiencies and operational flexibility of a
partnership (SBA, 2016).
Types of Business Structure
There are several business structures that one could use to start a new business and to make a
present business much more operative and inclusive. The business structures that will be talked
about in the paper are:
Sole proprietorship
Partnerships
Limited liability companies (LLC)
Corporations
Sole Proprietorship
A sole proprietor is the most modest and common structure chosen to start a business (SBA,
2016). Someone who owns an independent business is usually a sole proprietor. They are no legal

Grilled Cheese Recipe
It s hard to nail the grilled cheese sandwich, but my family has mastered it with our amazing recipe.
My family s perfect grilled cheese is a recipe my sister and I perfected, is easy to make and requires
a few ingredients, and makes a fun and enjoyable snack.
Growing up my sister and I loved grilled cheese so much we created the perfect recipe. My sister
and I had trouble nailing the grilled cheese at first because there are so many different factors. The
cheese has to be melty, and the bread has to be as crispy as possible. My sister and I would research
recipes and try dozens of different techniques. It took awhile and a lot of slices of bread but we did
finally make the perfect recipe. The cheese was very melty and the bread was very crispy but not
burnt at ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To make the perfect grilled cheese you ll need cheddar cheese, white bread, mayonnaise, butter,
and tomatoes [optional]. Spread about half a tablespoon mayonnaise on one side of two pieces
of white bread. Next, turn your stove on and in a frying pan melt a small piece of butter. After
that, place one of the pieces of bread mayonnaise side down onto the pan. Once that is done,
carefully place a tomato slice, the slice of cheddar cheese, and the other slice of bread
mayonnaise side up. Right after, flip the sandwich over, and wait till the other slice of bread is
crispy to your desire before you take it off the heat. Then enjoy your finished perfect grilled
cheese. The finished grilled cheese is a delicious and easy meal that everyone can enjoy. Our
perfect grilled cheese is the perfect marriage between bread and cheese. The recipe is melty and
crunchy and a fun food to eat. The perfect grilled cheese is a great food everyone should be able to
make.
Using my recipe it s easy to nail a grilled cheese. The perfect grilled cheese is my family s perfected
recipe, a simple recipe to follow, and is a great treat that everyone can

Looking Into The Fashion Of The 1920 s
CHOOSING AND REFINING MY TOPIC
Initially, the search for an adequate research topic was quite frustrating for me and I struggled to
settle on one topic. Although throughout the process, I realised that my avid interest in design and
fashion stuck with me right through. I am a passionate design student, and art has always been one
of my strengths. Last semester my Design class competed a folio on the Art Deco movement and
the 1920 s. We were to choose one aspect of the movement and further research it. I chose to look
into the fashion of the 1920 s. This topic very much interested me and the intriguing fashion of the
era has stuck with me since. I am keen to delve further into the fashion of the 1920 s as the history
of fashion is something ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I have considered different ways to approach my idea in order to develop a question and have
deliberated some other questions to narrow it down. Questions like How has the fashion of the
Art Deco movement influenced modern day society? , Where are features of 1920 s fashion still
seen today? and How accurate are modern day representations of Art Deco fashion? . I found
that representations of fashion are frequently seen in movies. So I chose to narrow my topic
down to women s fashion and then more specifically to women s formal dresses. I then decided
to focus on Baz Luhrmann s 2013 rendition of The Great Gatsby as a source of representations
fashion during the Art Deco era. I have refined my ideas and decided to base my research on the
question, To what extent do the formal women s dresses from Baz Luhrmann s 2013 film The Great
Gatsby accurately represent the

Marketing Activities, Tools And Strategies Founded less than 2 years ago with a small band of 30 exceptionally talented young people, the Never Settle motto of the Chinese startup company called Oneplus popped into the headlines of tech magazines by creating an amazing flagship killer handset dubbed Oneplus One. Few even heard of its name back then and now, you will find long queues like that of Apple and Samsung, such that it had to create an invite system, amping up the demand and a whole new secondary market of reselling invites. How did it manage to sell over 1 million sets in just 18 months, with a gross revenue of $300 million (as of 2014) and serving over 35 countries including whole of Europe with almost no marketingbudget? The powerhouse behind its galloping growth lies in its effective marketing and risk control and this essay will discuss the key marketing activities, tools and strategies a company uses to build its repute, and in this context, as a premium smartphone manufacturer. According to AMA (2013), Marketing is defined as the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large. • 3. Thomas Paine Influence Would the revolutionary war in the New World have developed without Thomas Paine? Political activist Thomas Paine created the first influential piece of writing, Common Sense, about retrieving American independence over Great Britain. Common Sense was a famous 50 page pamphlet discussing the possibility of creating a democratic republican party, and advocating independence from Great Britain. Thomas Painehad ideas of independence before he wrote Common Sense, but the American Public and his comrades motivated him even more about the prospect of independence, and influenced him to write the pamphlet. He had already written papers about the injustices and cruelties the Americans had to face while being overruled by Britain. Thomas Paine was the only American who had the audacity to write about gaining independence from Britain. He was the one who believed in America and its citizens to become a world superpower, and to grow into making their beloved country special. Written in his essay Age of Reason, he said, I saw, or at least I thought I saw, a vast scene opening itself to the world in the affairs of America; and it appeared to me, that unless the Americans changed the plan they were then pursuing, with respect to the government of England, and declared themselves independent, they would not only involve themselves in a multiplicity of new difficulties, but shut out the prospect that was then offering itself to mankind through their means, (44). In this passage of The Age of Reason, he stated his motive to write Common Sense. His motive to write Common Sense was for his patriots and the country as a whole. Not to make his political status rise, but to help America progress as an independent country. It wasn t about him and his career as an author, but about having colonial unity amongst it s citizens, and fight together to make America advance. Not only was their motive from the American public, but also from his fellow comrades, like Ben Franklin. They would frequently discuss upon this matter of independence and other international news, and this would have a significant influence into the writing of his persuasive essay. He spent hours daily discussing with his fellow moderns. It is obvious that Paine incorporated the conversations and correspondence with his compatriots into his essay. The long discussions that he had with Ben Franklin and his other friends gave him good ideas and a good understanding of their current situation. These long discussions were ... The Friar knows that Romeo s quick actions may lead to large consequences, although he still agrees to marry the two lovers that same day. Both Romeo and Juliet show haste in their feelings. In addition, Capulet rushes into creating a marriage for Juliet without considering her reaction. The characters of Romeo and Juliet behaved without thinking about the future problems of their actions, thus contributing to the deaths of two star crossed lovers. After considering suicide for a second time, Friar Lawrence suggests that she take the potion, believing that if she has enough bravery to kill herself, she will have enough bravery to appear as if dead and possibly never awaken. It claims on different freedoms of people despite their gender, race, and age. Also, one of the principles of American liberalism is the separation of state and church. The main aim of liberalism is to promote the general welfare of the American citizens. However, sometimes the liberalism was too controversial. For example, the involvement of the United States to the wars violated the rights of people. Speaking about the WWI, George William Norris wrote that war brings no prosperity to the great mass of common and patriotic citizens. It increases the cost of living of those who toil and those who already must strain every effort to keep soul and body together. War brings prosperity to the stock gambler on Wall Street to those who are already in possession of more wealth than can be realized or enjoyed (149). Such eager of American people to live in a free society is well understandable and can be explained by several factors as well. The ultimate goal of the American social ideal is equality of opportunity and individual initiative. These are not born of bureaucracy. This ideal is the expression of the spirit of our people. • 8. Time Travel In Literature From The Anglo-Saxon Period And... For a brief moment suppose that time travel exists. A conundrum that has influenced our movies, our stories, and proved impossible by the laws of physics, is now a reality. What is the first thing to do: Kill Hitler? Save the Library of Alexandria? Suppose that a time traveler has a great love for literature, specifically literature from the Anglo Saxon period and the English Renaissance. These two periods had vastly different societies, and due to this, vastly different literature. If the time traveler were to compare the literature from both periods, they would see that as time progresses, the themes in the literature from these periods shift from the bravado of glory and honor to the quieter aspects of life. While time travel may not be an opportunity at the moment, it is possible to step into the traveler s shoes by examining the historical context surrounding these periods. Foremost, the Anglo Saxon period, was a time when brawn, not brains, won the crown. The Celtic peoples, or Gauls, were loose knit tribal people who were chased to Great Britain by the Romans, and built Hadrian s Wall to protect themselves. The Germanic people were very similar to the Celtic people: both used human sacrifice and had warrior kings. This was a time of the Vikings, for adventure. It was a time when the old gods Dagda, Lugh, Odin, Thor, and many others ruled. In the midst of all of this barbarism, it was oddly progressive, as women could divorce their husbands and own property. As time ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to Sawyer and Prescott (2010), this is based in part on the concepts that the relationships are not equal, the client is vulnerable, and that the primary responsibility of the clinician is to make care of the client the first priority. Dual relationships are defined by Syme (2003), as arising in any situation where a therapist assumes more than one significantly different role either simultaneously or sequentially with a client . The Original Riot Grrrls By Elizabeth Cady Stanton The Original Riot Grrrls The 19th Amendment guarantees a vote for women in the United States of America, but how did this constitutional change happen? Many females prior to this accomplishment faced struggles from external forces that denied their rights and capabilities. Feminism and equal rights were and still are prominent in American society. In order to provide women of the future what is rightfully theirs, women during the 1700s have taken control of their opinions and used their strong will to make the necessary changes in American society.
