Composting is an extremely effective way to divert waste from the
landfill and bring nutrients back into the food cycle. T
THE CHALLENGE:
Get your neighbors involved in composting. First, if you haven't
already, start your own compost heap, bin, or indoor worm composter.
Ask some of your neighbors if they compost too. If they don't, invite
them over to see what you are doing, or provide them with some
resources to start. Then, celebrate composting in your neighborhood
in some way. Put a sign on your lawns "we compost!" or on your waste
bins or back fence. Document your experience in this challenge with a
200 word summary, and/or photos of your experience. Then post it up
to this forum by adding a new discussion topic.
