2. In 1949 harisingh chavda
came for a tour to
banaskatha from seva dal
and saw the poverty which
made him realize that he
should work to eradicate the
situation. Therefore he came
up with an idea to start the
development with education.

3. From 1955 to 1958 there was severe
poverty which Harisingh saw, Where
people did not even have their basic
necessities like food, shelter and
clothes.

4. In 1958 he decided to gather Sevadal
people at Balaram palace having a
similar idealogy of changing the rural
India, where they decided to implement
the whole idea of developing the
Banaskatha District.

5. By spreading the awareness of rural
development and social work they
started their new project in June 1961.

6. In 1961 the school began with a
student s of 18 students under a
simple shed between the clay walls
In the beginning he bought 9 acres
of land at a loan of rs.14,000. The
students and workers together built
the clay walls and shed.
