2. The first location will be the Piece hall this is
because it is firstly a well lit up area and also to show
the audience what type of environment the artist is
in. Also in this location the artist will be shown
performing on his own while he is walking through
the piece hall. Furthermore we will also be using this
location at night as firstly it wont be as busy but also
it sets the mood at night as it would relate more to
the lyrics of the song. However the advantages of
using this location is that it is easily accessible as it is
open till late. I also used this location because this
location is very popular in Halifax as it is firstly in
the centre of Halifax but also my audience will be
able to relate to the location. This location also links
to the lyrics of the song as the lyrics talk about the
city life therefore I decided to use this location as
this location consists of a lot of shops and the city
life consist of a lot of shopping. However it links to
my song as this location well light up at night
therefore the shots will come out clear.
PIECE HALL HALIFAX

3. The next chosen location is the top floor of the
car park. This location will be used because it
will show a better view of the town. At this
location Asaaf will be performing alongside the
gang. Furthermore I will record at night because
the town will be lit up as well as the car park
which would then create an appropriate mood
for the music video. The advantages of this
locations that is it easily accessible as it is open
24 hours however the issues that could arise is
the weather. I also decided to use this location
because this location gives a clear shot of the
whole town. This location also will be used
because in the music video the artist will be
shown driving to the top of the car park, this
will show how far he has come. Therefore the
music video will end with him reaching to the
top of the car park and looking down at the
town.

4. I have chosen this location to be in my music
video, as this location is mostly used in music
videos with the same genre (Hip-hop).
Furthermore this location will be used
because it shows the background of the artist
as he was brought up on the streets. It also
has a link to the lyrical content of the song. I
will also record this location at night as it will
set the mood for the music video as the lyrics
are slow and have reference to night life. This
location also links to the lyrics because the
lyrics talk about gangs and violence and a lot
of violence happened in the streets therefore
i used this location. In particular I have used
this street because it shows a view of the
whole of Halifax in the background, this
would then look more appealing to my
audience rather than a street with a wall as a
background.

5. My next location will be the dual carriageway as at
this location I will film shots of the main character
driving. I will also film at night as the majority of the
video will be filmed at night. It will also be filmed at
night as Furthermore the issues which could arise
are that the dual carriageway could be closed. This
would be an issue as we wouldn’t be able to film and
would have to find another dual carriageway.
Furthermore driving will link to the song as the main
character will be shown driving through the town
while witnessing a lot of crime. Also a dual
carriageway will also be used because it is a lot more
open therefore more shots of the car can be taken so
that the audience can relate to the type of car. These
shots will be filmed both inside and outside of the
car to give the audience a better understanding of
what type of car is as the type of car used is
specifically used so that the audience can relate.
Furthermore driving links to the song because the
lyrics talk about him seeing a lot of crime in the
streets and how his life has changed a lot from when
he was younger, therefore he is shown driving past all
the crime and violence.

6. The next location for my music video
will be in a car. In this location the
main character will be shown driving
through the town. This is because the
lyrics talk about the city and what it
looks like at night therefore it will also
be filmed at night. In this location the
artist will also be shown observing the
town as the lyrics talk about a lot of
gang violence in the city. The
advantages of this location is that it
will be filmed inside the car therefore
weather would not be a issue.
