•A convention center is a building/ space designed to hold a convetion, where individuals and groups gather to
oromote and share common interests. A convention center in most cases is designed for the purpose of
conducting meetings, rallies or seminars.

•In some cases, meetings or events take place in centers or buildings not specially designed for conventions but

DISTRIBUTION OF HVAC ROOMS :
•Convention Centers often have inefficient
heating and/or cooling when the number of
patrons increases, causing issues on
temperature maintenance.
•The HVAC System can be added to an existing
community or convention center or new
construction in order to heat and/or cool
specific areas that get uncomfortable as the
number of guests increase.
ELECTRICAL ROOMS:
•In today’s convention centers designers have specified
electrical capacity and distribution to service any event in
the market with respect to electrical demand per square
foot.
• The distribution network is uniformly distributed in floor
boxes across exhibit halls for 110/208V applications and
there is usually a high voltage (460V) bus or connection
panel overhead to handle discrete heavy electrical loads or
to supplement floor box capacity.

•Sufficient toilets (including disabled) in several locations, all fitted with
airlocks.

•Cubicle partitions minimum 2100 mm high.
•One unisex shower for use by convention VIPs and organizers.
•Two continuous toilet roll dispensers per cubicle.
•Paper towels and dryers (not just one or the other).
•Adequate soap dispensers.
•Hot water available in washbasins in toilet facilities.
• Full length mirrors available in all toilets.
•Plumbing available in one breakout room for wet workshops.
