SURVIVORSHIP CURVE
It is curve that represent the no of individual in a population that can be
expected to survive to any specific age
There are three types of curves
Type I curve tracks those organisms that tends to live long lives (low death rate at
he early stage and high survival ship rate)
Type III curve includes those organisms in which mortality rate is higher at their
earlier stage e.g. small mammals fishes and invertebrates
Type II curve is neutral having constant mortality and survival ship rate

• Early stage on the life of an organism
• The development of the organism occurs along with the development of the
reproductive organs
 Adulthood:
• In this stage organism produces youngness
 Ageing/ Senescence
• Body of the organism start deterioration
• There is decrease in the functioning of the body.

• Asexual reproduction is observed in both unicellular and
multicellular organisms. This process does not involve any kind of
gamete fusion and there won’t be no change in the number of
chromosomes.
