to judge the appropriate level

online site: cost = $4.50
for whole time at school
9. Students sit a Lexile Test of
20-40 multiple choice questions.
Level of difficulty adjusts according to
whether answers are correct or not
10. The test provides each student with
an individualised quot;Lexile Levelquot;
Students choose books within a range
of 50 above and below their level.
11. Students then select from an
individualised book list matched to
their level and chosen interests.
12. Students earn points for successful
quizzes and a cumulative record of
words read, to eventually become
millionaires!
13. After a period of time selected by
each school, the Lexile level is
retested to assess student gains.
