As a remedial reading institution, we
foresee ourselves to generate quality and
eminent learners that diminished reading
difficulties and embodies excellent reading
skills.
Krashen’s Remedial Reading Academy
exists to fulfill the needs of the struggling
readers of all ages, to diminish reading
difficulties among them, and to develop
exceptional reading skills that would help
them promote creative and critical
thinking.
• To remedy the different reading difficulties
 that the learners experience.

• To make certain that reading is part of the
 students’ everyday lives.

• To endow students with exceptional
 materials and activities for reading.
• To form students, not just to equip them
with exceptional skills and knowledge for
reading, but also to develop the love and
  passion for it as well.

• To provide students with brilliant teachers
with assured degrees on the reading
  subject.
• KRA follows the Psychological
Foundation; we consider the behavior of
our learners towards reading, how they
process the information given to them,
BEHAVIORAL APPROACH, since
our school will be all about
 reading, our students’ behavior
towards reading will be a big
factor on how they will be
    successful in this reading
            remedial.

School’s name “reading”

                           Laurel leaf
                        symbolizes “victory”
   “Selume Proferre”
  means “Towards the
        Light”
Krashen’s Remedial Reading Academy intends to
correct and develop the reading skills of each student
who will enroll in the academy. Each student will be
given a chance to acquire these skills, through the
help of teachers specializing in this subject with
degree holders. The program will conduct lecture for
background knowledge and activities that will involve
them when learning these skills. The focus of the
academy is to know which area the
student is weak and take action on
                   how to improve these skills.
The academy’s preferred students are those
learners who have difficulty in reading.
There is no age limit required and any
 year level is acceptable.
• STUDENTS
    They are the most important
stakeholders in this curriculum. The basis
of the curriculum depends of the student’s
 performance.
• TEACHERS
   – They should be involve in making the
curriculum, because they are the ones who
can recognize the weaknesses and strengths
of the students. The teachers are the people
who can see the effectiveness of the
curriculum and also they are the ones who
should model the curriculum to students.
• PRINCIPAL

  – The principal as the head of the
entire teacher must also be involve in
       the making of the curriculum.
• The school offers anyone who is a college
graduate that wants to have better
communication skills to be able to have a
good job that requires these skills. This
program aims to instill the skills for the
person to be competitive in this area.
