I am happy to write this letter of recommendation for Ravi Kumar Chilukoti.
Ravi Kumar Chilukoti, born 20th of November 1978 in India, applied for a postdoctoral
position in your laboratory. He is currently employed at the Interfaculty Department of
Functional Genomics of the Greifswald University since August 2008.
I got to know Ravi Kumar Chilukoti quite well during our intensive and fruitful scientific
collaboration which started in 2009 and is still on-going. He contributed with his invaluable
expertise in transcriptome analyses, including subsequent validation and network & pathway

Ravi Kumar Chilukoti has demonstrated great practical skills and he works very ambitiously.
He always provides highly reliable data and he is fully capable of considering results in the
context of current knowledge. Notably, he is fully aware of the relevant literature in the field
he used to work in. He is very good in evaluation and presentation of data. Results of his

work have been published, where he also substantially contributed to manuscript writing as
first author. The data he generated are the basis for further manuscripts that are in part
already in preparation; others will definitely follow.
Ravi Kumar Chilukoti is a very polite, cooperative, resilient, and hard-working person. He
uses any opportunity to acquire knowledge and to learn new methods and techniques. The
fact, that he is currently visiting my lab to learn methods of culturing and differentiating of
3T3-L1 cells and epicardium-derived progenitor cells emphasizes this fact.
He fits well into a team and is highly respected by all my colleagues who had the pleasure
working with him. I’m convinced that he would make a strong contribution to any research
