complementary medicine that
involves pricking the skin or tissues
with needles, used to alleviate pain
and to treat various physical,
mental, and emotional conditions.
Originating in ancient China,
acupuncture is now
widely practiced in the West.

tissue massage wherein a licensed
practitioner place special cups –
glass, bamboo, earthenware, or
silicone – on your skin for a few
minutes to expand capillaries and
increase the amount of fluid entering
and leaving tissues. Cupping
methods are performed in so many
ways.
3. REFLEXOLOGY a system of
massage used
to relieve tension and treat
illness, based on the theory
that there are reflex points on
the feet, hands, and head
linked to every part of the
body.
4. Naturopathic medicine is a
system that uses natural remedies
to help the body heal itself. It
embraces many therapies,
including herbs, massage,
acupuncture, exercise, and
nutritional counseling.
Naturopathy was brought to the
United States from Germany in the
1800s, but some of its treatments
are centuries old.
