Lesson plan
Topic: Music is Everywhere
Objectives:
- To activate the key-words of the topic;
- To practise the usage of Clauses of Time and Condition (Futureaction);
- To develop examination techniques;
- To develop reading, listening, speaking and writing skills using the vocabulary;
- To promote broadening of general outlook of pupils;
- To work out positiveattitude to music;
The type of the lesson:the lesson of the check and the correction of the
students` skills and knowledge.
Materials: Card 1, Card 2, Card 3, Card 4, Card 5, blackboard, chalk, computer,
computer board, CD, records.
Procedure
I. The beginning of the lesson.
1.) Greetings: T <-> Sts;
2.) The Aim of the lesson: T-> Sts;
3.) Warming-up activities:
T: What is the role of music in your life? (Students` opinions)
4.) Speaking: Students` presentations (favouritegroup, singer) - prepared projects.
II. The main Part of the lesson.
Test
1.) Match the words with their definitions ( the check of already learnt lexical units )-
card 1
2.) Listening Comprehension
- Pre-listening activities: listening strategies;
- While-listening activities: - music styles (card 2)
- Song “Yesterday” (card 3)
- Post-listening activities:
Card 2 Listen. Number the styles.
Card 3 Listen. Complete the song with the verbs given below.
3.) Reading Comprehension
- Pre-reading activities: reading strategies;
- While-reading activities: text «Sgt. Pepper`s Lonely Hearts Club Band»
- Post-reading activities: Read the text and choosefrom ( A-F ) the ones which best fit
(1-6)- Card 4
4.) Grammar: Clauses of Time and Condition (real condition)-Card 5
For each of the sentence choosethe correctanswer (A, B or C)
III. The End of the lesson
1.) Homework:
- Write a shortdescription of the album you bought last;
- Make up 6 sentences using Clauses of Time and Condition;
2.) Summary:
Make up a questionnaire with as many questions as you can connected with
music and people`s attitude to it. Ask some pupils and tell the class about your
survey.

Class: 8 Lesson plan Topic: Music is Everywhere Objectives: - To activate the key-words of the topic; - To practise the usage of Clauses of Time and Condition (Futureaction); - To develop examination techniques; - To develop reading, listening, speaking and writing skills using the vocabulary; - To promote broadening of general outlook of pupils; - To work out positiveattitude to music; The type of the lesson:the lesson of the check and the correction of the students` skills and knowledge. Materials: Card 1, Card 2, Card 3, Card 4, Card 5, blackboard, chalk, computer, computer board, CD, records. Procedure I. The beginning of the lesson. 1.) Greetings: T <-> Sts; 2.) The Aim of the lesson: T-> Sts; 3.) Warming-up activities: T: What is the role of music in your life? (Students` opinions) 4.) Speaking: Students` presentations (favouritegroup, singer) - prepared projects. II. The main Part of the lesson. Test 1.) Match the words with their definitions ( the check of already learnt lexical units )- card 1 2.) Listening Comprehension - Pre-listening activities: listening strategies; - While-listening activities: - music styles (card 2) - Song “Yesterday” (card 3) - Post-listening activities: Card 2 Listen. Number the styles. Card 3 Listen. Complete the song with the verbs given below. 3.) Reading Comprehension

Homework: - Write a shortdescription of the album you bought last; - Make up 6 sentences using Clauses of Time and Condition; 2.) Summary: Make up a questionnaire with as many questions as you can connected with music and people`s attitude to it. Ask some pupils and tell the class about your survey.
