2. The pragmatic method, developed by William James and John Dewey, tests beliefs based on their practical results and problem-solving ability.
3. Edmund Husserl's phenomenological method builds philosophy from immediate experience of the "phenomenal world."
4. Gabriel Marcel identified primary reflection as distinguishing self from non-self, while secondary reflection leads to a more expansive view of self embracing the world
