Leopards drag their food into trees to eat
and keep their food safe from other
predators down low.
BASIC INFORMATION
Leopards live in wet
and dry conditions.
Leopards live in dry
grasslands like
Africa and are
sometimes found in
wet rainforests.
Leopards use their
environment to hunt
and eat. They can
run over 44km an
hour so they can
easily catch their
prey.
Snow leopards live
in snowy
areas, that’s why
they are snow
leopards.
NATURAL HABITAT
WHY ARE LEOPARDS ENDANGERED
Leopard fur is
really cool
looking. People
hunt down
leopards for
their fur so they
can make
some leopard
fur clothing.
Leopards
sometimes
wander near
villages by
mistake. The
people in the
village gun
them down
because they
need to protect
the people in
the village.
Rainforests.
This is one of
the leopard’s
habitats.
People are
cutting down
rainforests so
they can build
houses.
People use leopard skin for their own good. People
shouldn’t be taking a living creatures fur.
People should stop cutting down leopards habitats.
People are donating to AWF and this money goes towards
helping the wildlife in Africa and protecting animals.
