Length Investigation
Aim:
To investigate the relationship between head circumference
and arm length.

Hypothesis:
I predict that arm length is bigger than head circumference.

Material:
-measuring tapes
-pencil
-paper
-clipboard
-20 people

Method:
  1. Draw a table to be ready for your measurements.
  2. Pull the measuring tape around a person’s head.
  3. Write the measurement of one person’s head
circumference in the table.
  4. Pull the measuring tape from their shoulder and to
     their wrist.
  5. Record their arm length result.
  6. Repeat the measurement for 20 people.

The average head circumference is 54cm.
The average arm length is 48cm.

Conclusion:
My hypothesis was incorrect. On average,head
circumference is 6cm longer than arm length.
Discussion:
We were measuring about 20 people. And I think that we
should have measure more people to get a better
understanding. Itwasn’t very hard to measure and it was
easy for me to understand the relationship between head
circumference and arm length.I learned how to
measurement body parts with a measuring tape. Next I
would like to investigate the relationship between height
and finger length.
