Gonadotropin Simulation
Gonadotropins are a group of hormones that are secreted by the pituitary gland that starts the
production of the gonads. The reason gonadotropins are used in fertility is because it has FSH and
LH hormone that aids in producing eggs in order for a woman to ovulate. So in other words, if a
women does not have enough hormone to start ovulationshe will be given a rFSH for about 12
days to help the eggs mature and then a dose of gonadotropin to start the ovulation process.
In the female reproductive system a hormone known as estrogen is controlled by gonadotropin
which is controlled by negative feedback. During negative feedback from the estrogen prevent the

Also the release of FSH and LH and will stop the body to release the egg to get fertilize. Because
estrogen and progesterone controls the hormone levels in a female in return will stop estrogen
from increasing during the cycle. If progesterone remains high this will stop FSH and LH from
releasing this will cause the egg from maturing and will stop the ovulation process.
Estrogen and progesterone are involved because it aids in the stopping of a woman period. It
allows the fluid in the virgina to become thick and the uterus lining so the fertilized egg cannot
attach.
Pregnancy is similar to birth control because when you are taking birth control a large amount
of progesterone is released and maintained so it can prevent the release of FSH and LH in the
body to stop ovulation so you will not get pregnant and the uterus lining will shed due to no
fertilized egg and you will have a period. However, if the egg is fertilized ones the egg is planted
on the uterus wall and the hormone corteum luteum will produce progesterone so the egg that is
implanted can grow. This will also stop the release of the FSH and the LH hormone so that
ovulation cannot take

Marketing Applications Of The App
Distribution is one of the most important aspects of marketing applications. Consumers are not
able to purchase them at a traditional store and different distribution channels are required. The
main channel for distributing FUV will be the Google, Amazon, Android, and Apple application
stores. As users download FUV, the intermediaries selling the app will receive a percentage of
the sale. Each of these stores requires a different percentage of the sale starting at about 27%
(Bergvall Kareborn Howcroft, 2014). At release this cost will diminish profits earned by the app,
but as the app becomes more popular and the add ons are purchased, profits will increase (Cho,
Lee, Quinlan, 2015). As FUV becomes more popular, each of the app... Show more content on

Partnerships
After the initial launch of FUV, the app will advertise in the print ads of partnered stores. In return
for advertising the app in their ads, FUV will advertise for the stores in the app. Banner ads will
feature different stores with the ad frequency mirroring the advertisement of FUV in the stores
own ads. Stores that offer a larger ad to FUV will be featured more often than those that only
supply a small ad space. Partner store coupons will also be offered within the app. These
coupons will be taken from stores print ads and will be available within the app. Coupons will be
displayed as product recommendations, as well as when a listed ingredient inventory is low or out
of stock. Coupons and ad banners will push users towards partner stores, encouraging these stores to
continue and increase advertising FUV.
Supply chain Management
Initially, supply chain management will be extensive. Apps that are released and marketed just
before a new product, such as a new model of smartphone or tablet, is released experience a
higher than average number of downloads. The high volume of downloads can cause issues with
internal servers and data transfer (Cho, Lee, Quinlan, 2015). Remaining in contact with app stores
to ensure that FUV is downloading as it should will be vital to a successful launch. If the app data
is not sent to the correct app stores at the correct time, there may be a delay in the availability of
the app,

If he cannot heal himself ,perhaps he can heal others. In the end, not an impotence at all. (Bradley

with what Hemingway asserted in an interview with George Plimpton after some years from

Christian Worldview Definition
A worldview is an intrinsic part of a person. It shapes who they are, what they believe, and how
they act. It is something that each person holds on to, and lets it shape themselves, their
personality, and their interactions with other people. Senator John Thune believes that, Having a
Christian worldview shapes my decision making with respect to all aspects of my life. I always
respect people in public life who are principled, and those principles have to connecte to something.
And my faith is what serves as the anchor and directs my actions. Yet, even though Senator Thune
believes this way, his philosophy truly affects everybody in this world. Their worldview, whether

This worldview, which states that truth is subject to the individual, finds popularity among the
Millennial Generation, as continuing to grow in this culture of self satisfaction. In theological
terms, Postmodernism believes that Atheism is too objective to their belief. That in Atheism still
holds the same philosophical principles clerically to Theism. The main principle of Postmodernism
is to rid the world of religion, which if assuming Atheism as a main religion, it defeats the problem
the Postmodernism tries to fight. For Postmodernists, truth is subjective. It is only found within a
person, not applying to anything else. To derive ethics, Postmodernists There are three foundations
of Postmodernism that come together to create to create the world view. The three are: atheism, an
total denial of God, Naturalism, only the material world exists, and evolution, how man was

Postmodernists believe in evolution, yet they will specifically never endorses a specific type due to
the fact that it would set a universal law upon all. For Postmodernists, the idea of multiple selves
has rendered the concept of the soul obsolete. This means that in a traditional Naturalistic view,

The Dangers Of Sea Turtles
Sea turtles have a unique place in world s oceans. The way they migrate and reproduce makes them
fascinating to learn about, but also it makes them very vulnerable to environmental problems.
Human development of beaches, fishing practices, and other environmental threats are threatening
sea turtles across the world. In this paper I will describe the types of sea turtles and some of the
special things about how they live and reproduce. Then, I will talk about some of the threats that
they face. Finally, I will discuss possible solutions to helping them thrive in the modern world.
Types of Sea TurtlesThere are several types of sea turtles in the world. Each of them has a long
migration pattern, and each has declined greatly in population recently. For instance, the loggerhead
sea turtle can migrate as much as 10,000 miles. Their populations have declined massively and
there is a high risk that they will become extinct in the Pacific Ocean within the next 60 years.
The leatherback sea turtle differs from other types in that it has a soft shell and other adaptations
that allow it to survive in cold environments. It has faced large declines and may become extinct
within the next several decades. Hawksbill sea turtles are found in tropical regions and rely on
healthy reefs for survival. The shells of these turtles are very desirable and it has a led to poaching
in the past. Olive Ridley sea turtles are the most abundant on earth with the largest nesting area in
India. The

American Perspective On Hackers
Analysis: The American Perspective On Hackers
The issue of public information has always been a controversy in our world. One of our country s
founding arguments was based on the necessity of free speech and free information. Many now
believe that our government is being overly restrictive on information, blocking and controlling
some aspects of free speech that first amendment advocates feel are necessary to maintain our
American society. These advocates of free information have been using the nickname hackers for
over twenty years, but improper use by the media has stretched the word to slanderous levels.
Hackers are now stereotyped as mindless vandals and miscreants, although the word hacker has
been used as a term for computer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The irrationality of this fear is proven by the contrasting attitude of technically oriented society.
The technically oriented part of society is made up of (at the very minimum) very advanced home
users, capable of modifying parts of their computer and fixing most problems. This sect also
includes network administrators and operators, most programmers, and most computer hardware
specialists. Not all programmers or hardware specialists fall under this description, because many
of them do not have or need a full understanding of a computer in order to complete their job. These
technically oriented people have enough knowledge about computers so as to not automatically
resort to fear.
Most of them understand the vast difference between a cyber vandal and a true hacker. In fact,
most of them have acted as either a cyber vandal, hacker, or both at some time in their past. They
generally see that actual hackers are not intent on damaging things.
Actual hackers are content with the free spread of information and thought. The people that
technically inclined individuals avoid and sometimes fear are the delinquents and vandals who find
it amusing to damage and ruin data. In an attempt to make people think they are anything more than
attention starved brats with computers, these vandals prefer to be called hackers.

Imperialism is a policy which a strong nation take complete control over other countries . This is
exactly what the Europeans did in several different parts of Africa . Not only did the Europeans

independence. Why take all this away ? It s simple , the Europeans nations was competing against
each other and they thought they were superior. They noticed Africa had many raw materials and

Relationship between Mechanical Reproduction, Art and Culture
Marxist criticism concerns itself with class differences and the modes of production that produce
oppression. Class conflict will be reflected in different forms of art because the marxist school
believes that everything in a society is based on the current modes of production. A change to the
mode of production will bring change to politics, law, philosophy, religion, and art. Max
Horkheimer, Theodor W. Adorno and Walter Benjamin are three of the most notable critics of
Marxism. They write about the production of cultural subject in capitalist societies, agreeing that
reproduction of art has drastically changed due to mechanization. Horkheimer and Adorno s The

Art will be made for the purpose of reproduction to reach the highest audience. The aura of an
object will no longer matter because it will not be part of the class consciousness. As Benjamin
brings up the debate of the cult value versus the exhibition value, the value of art will change so
that it s only function will be based on how many times it can be reproduced. Horkheimer and
Adorno describe the culture industry as, millions participate in it, certain reproduction processes
are necessary that inevitably require identical needs in innumerable places to be satisfied with
identical goods (1256). Benjamin argues that as soon as the authenticity is lost, art s function is
transformed. Horkheimer and Adorno describe a new function of art, to produce for mass
consumption. Those in control of the modes of production want to replace the ritual value with a
exhibition value to increase profit. Thus creating a bigger divide between the working class and
the upper class. Art is being given a new value under capitalism. Benjamin suggests that what is
being created within the society is correlated to that value that society puts on art. The quality of
art being produced will shift from the cult value and the exhibition value. As Horkheimer and
Adorno describe as art being created for almost instantaneous disposal, the culture doesn t allow art
to be held on to but rather be discarded for the new. Mechanical

Barium Sulfate Research Paper
Almost all of the barium consumed commercially is obtained from barite, which is often highly
impure. Barite is processed by carbothermal reduction (heating with coke) to give barium sulfide:
BaSO4 + 4 C в†’ BaS + 4 CO
In contrast to barium sulfate, barium sulfide is soluble in water and readily converted to the oxide,
carbonate, and halides. To produce highly pure barium sulfate, the sulfide or chloride is treated
with sulfuric acid or sulfate salts:
BaS + H2SO4 в†’ BaSO4 + H2S
Barium sulfate produced in this way is often called blanc fixe, which is French for permanent white.
Blanc fixe is the form of barium encountered in consumer products, such as paints.[5]

The accidental discovery of this conversion many centuries ago led to the discovery of the first
synthetic phosphor.[4] The sulfide, unlike the sulfate, is water soluble. Sometime prior to the
autumn of 1803, the Englishman John Dalton was able to explain the results of some of his
studies by assuming that matter is composed of atoms and that all samples of any given compound
consist of the same combination of these atoms. Dalton also noted that in series of compounds, the
ratios of the masses of the second element that combine with a given weight of the first element
can be reduced to small whole numbers (the law of multiple proportions). This was further
evidence for atoms. Dalton s theory of atoms was published by Thomas Thomson in the 3rd edition
of his System of Chemistry in 1807 and in a paper about strontium oxalates published in the
Philosophical Transactions. Dalton published these ideas himself in the following year in the New

Example Of Leading By Example
Lead by Example: Fact or Fiction My family is really important to me. This is because they are
always helping me with my life. They help me decide what to do. The main person that leads me

make up. Two other people that lead me by example are my mom and dad. They always tell me
that you have to do whatever you put your mind to. Leading by example is a big priority in my
life because what you do can affect other people in many different ways. But everyone is a leader
if they try their best. People may doubt what you say, but they will believe what you do. Lewis

What does being a mentor mean? In my opinion, it means teaching, guiding, and letting a person

My husband and I split up a few months after graduation and unless I was willing to give up
custody of my daughter, I would not be able to join the military. So I made other plans and
started working towards a different goal. As fate would have it however, my husband and I
reconciled, worked things out and got back together. Two weeks later I was called by my recruiter
and was told that a spot had just opened up and I could leave in just a few short days. I decided to
go for it and the rest is history.
For my first duty station, I was assigned to Mountain Home AFB in Idaho. I arrived there in May
2010 with my husband, daughter, and pregnant with my second child. Shortly thereafter I became
a single parent and was learning to develop both as a parent and as an airman. I was fortunate to

worked in pharmacy all her career and had a wealth of experience under her belt. She became my

My Nightmare Short Story
Living my nightmare. I am a sophomore at Sacred Heart University In Fairfield Connecticut. My
home is Trumbull Connecticut. I had dreams to adventure as far away as possible for school. I
had dreams of traveling and seeing the world and using my education as my excuse. But, I am a
commuter at Sacred Heart University and travel all of 12 minutes to get from my home to my
education. How all my dreams to get away came spiraling down is my story. My college story
did not begin 12 minutes away from home. My story started off as pursuing my dream of
traveling, even if it was only three hours from home. I spent one semester, four months, in which
I thought was my dream. I am independent, I am spontaneous and I am adventurous, or so I
thought. Living my dream was the only way I found out that I was small and shy. I was an
outcast how terrifying. I started at Seton Hall University, in South Orange New Jersey, where I
found out that living my dream meant living with four other girls, that sucked. I was used to
living with one other girl in the room, my sister. But that is my sister and who cares if she liked
to sleep with the TV on, I was turning it off and would fight with her about turning to back on
with no shame. But, I was living with unfamiliar hair swimming in the shower I was supposed to

Filmmakers of course want to create something that is going to be appealing to a majority of

idea for Monsters Inc., was actually visualized during a lunch in the brainstorming session while in
the production of Toy Story. The director, Pete Docterclaimed that he wanted to tap into a child

Although monsters coming out of the closet as Monsters Inc. so impressively illustrates is
something that is particularly geared more towards children, in essence, each of us can reflect and

is having the start up funds necessary to host various special events and activities. In addition to
analyzing the organizations weaknesses, it is also important to evaluate the opportunities that
they can bring to the area. Girls on the Run has the opportunity to introduce a new and innovative

Lockvich, Haris A. Aslam, and Mary L. Phillips pertains to bipolar disorder and major depressive
disorder. Although they are different mood disorders caused by psychosocial, cognitive and
emotional dysfunction, their symptoms of depression make it quite difficult for physicians to
distinguish the differences between them. Therefore, neurobiological markers are used to identify
the particular disorder a patient has and what therapeutic strategies or treatments are suitable for
each patient. Furthermore, studies have shown that individuals suffering from

The Most Important Point Of Nursing Is Caring For Patients
The most important point of nursing is caring for patients. It is equally important to apply
customer service skills with taking care of sick patients. It is a demanding job that one should
not take lightly. As nurses, we must communicate with staff, family, and medical doctors in
overseeing the patients. When the family of a patient comes to the nurse at the same time, such
situations can be very challenging to deal with. I saw many nurses have to deal with this type of
situation on almost on a daily basis. I noticed that it could happen on any shift, at any time. Some
would think that at night the nurses do not have to deal with family as much, but these situations
may arise then as well. Professionalism plays a key role in how a nurse interacts with patients
and their families. Professionalism can also go a long way with interacting with the public. One
can be taught the way to becoming proficient in customer service and public relations, but to
implement such actions is harder than one would think. I have worked in the retail for five years
and have had my share of hard to deal with customers. When walking into a hospital I have to
switch my mindset back into the retail mode in terms of customer service, but I am still a nurse. I
have seen most of the nurses on the floor implement excellent customer service. I have also notice
that the hospital is training staff for customer service. But there are times when nurses cannot
always be customer service minded. They expect

Significant Long Term Causes Of The 1905 Russian Revolution
Intro
The Autocratic system within Russia which was put into place for 300 years was one of the
significant long term causes for the Russian 1905 revolution. The ideas surrounding the autocratic
system meant that there was no parliament but one ruler who was Tsar Nicholas the II who had
absolute power and believed that he had been given this power by divine right. The autocratic
control over Russia involved russification which meant that the other cultures and languages being
practiced were to be prohibited in order to try and unify Russia as it was so vast. To help control
people from this, the Okhrana were put in place all over Russia to prevent people from practising
any other Culture other than Russian and to control the bands of counter revolutionaries ... Show

In 1905 the working conditions for the peasants and proletariat workers were poor and their
rights with their employers were non existent but they still had loyalty towards the Tsar and
believed in his leadership. Because The peasants and the workers thought that the Tsar would be
willing to help them, they went on a strike, drafted a petition to give directly to him outside
Winter palace expecting for him to listen to them and to grant them basic necessities. Within the
petition they requested reduction of the working hours, higher wages, Medical attention to be
given carefully and considerately and making sure that factories are safe for them to work in
without risk of death. On 9th of January, the day of the march, the workers marched peacefully
with their families carrying pictures of the Tsar as a sign of respect. But the Tsar was aware of the
March that was happening and had no intention of reading the petition as he thought that he could
maintain his power and loyalty without agreeing to the workers needs so left the night before,
leaving his police to guard the winter palace. As the marchers advanced to the Winter palace and
were met with the police who immediately shot on them, killing hundreds of the workers and their
family. The tsar wasn t aware that his police had shot on them, as it was his Uncle who gave out the

The Career Of The Legendary Blues Artist Joe Bonamassa
Focussing on the career of the legendary Blues artist Joe Bonamassa, this case study will
explore the differing areas of the music industry and the relationships between them. Joe s
career began at age twelve when he supported BB King in 1989. Since then he has become one
of the prolific guitarists on the planet, playing around 200 shows worldwide every year. For the
past two decades Joe s manager and business partner has been Roy Wiesman. Roy spotted Joe on
a television programme in 1991 and signed him shortly after. The pair attribute their close
relationship as the reason behind Joe s success, with Joe stating that his position in the industry is
solely because of Roy Wiesman and Roy s ability to reinvent what the music business is, even
though at one point it felt as though the entire music business was against us (JoeBonamassaTV
2013). The role of an artist manager like Roy is to bring together the aspects required in order to
meet the specific criteria set out by the artist (and if applicable, their record company). Ultimately
they handle the artists business affairs, make sure that projects are running efficiently and most
importantly coordinate the different areas of the industry to ensure that the end goal is being met.
It is paramount that the manager has detailed knowledge about the industry and in particular the
genre, and types of artist associated with said genre before signing an act. A reputable manager
would also be apart of the MMF. In Joe s case,

Summary Of The Glass Mengotie And The Glass Menagerie
Free as a bird. It s the next best thing to be... What ever happened to the life we once knew?
Always made me feel so free! This song, by the Beatles, shares the well known idea of being free
as a bird. Since the beginning of time, mankind has wondered what it would feel like to fly, to
travel around the world, and to be free. Humans have idolised the talents of birds for this reason.
They can go wherever, whenever, and always seem happy soaring through the sky at their own
leisure. While birds used to all roam free, now, approximately 3,700,000 of the 8,300,000 birds
are being kept as household pets in the United States according to www.avma.org. That s about
44% of the birds in the United States that are kept in cages. Naturally, these birds yearn to fly
free and be happy, but instead they are trapped in tiny cages, or, for the lucky ones, some are
thrown in a cage as big as a living room television. This feeling of being trapped is how Tom
Wingfield from The Glass Menagerie and Mamie from the poem Mamie feel.
In the Glass Menagerie and the poem Mamie, respectively, Tom Wingfield and Mamie both feel
trapped in their horrible, hated lives. All Tom and Mamie wantis to be happy and feel free, but they
can t because they are trapped in their society s social disadvantages.
In the Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams, Tom Wingfield is living the disadvantageous life of
the 1930s. At this time, the Great Depression has begun and WWII is on the way. Tom Wingfield, a

Why Gilbert Lewis Won The Nobel Prize
Gilbert Lewis felt that he deserved to be in the Manhattan project and win the Nobel Prize. In
protest for not winning the Nobel Prize he resigned from many prestigious positions. After all,
he had been nominated 35 times, but he never won the Nobel Prize. This was due to personal
reasons, but also because he didn t go deeply in one field, instead he did a bit everywhere. He
didn t make any ground breaking discovery. Lewis was also not selected for the Manhattan
Project and wasn t recognized as many of his colleagues at Berkeley were. He didn t have the
cooperation that was vital for a team that was going to be developed an atomic bomb. Also, his

The Beauty Of Art In Broad Strokes, By Bridget Quinn
Izabel Guminski The Beauty Of Art
In the reading, Broad Strokes by Bridget Quinn, she emphasizes on the artists who have made
history in the world of art. There were six artists that had made an impact on history and in which
dedicated their lives to their art. In this reading each artists has lost a loved one, used art to cope
with pain, and yet all had different ways of creating their works of art.
The artist Louise Bourgeois was a French American who was born in Paris on December 25th,
1911, and was named after her father (Louis Bourgeois). Most of Bourgeois childhood was spent
with her mother helping to sustain her health. By the age of ten, Bourgeois had begun to draw
missing parts of tapestries and also became an expert in drawing feet and legs. In 1968
Bourgeois decided to paint a portrait of a penis. It was called Fillette , which meant little girl.
Bourgeois s instructor, Fernand Leger, told her You are not a painter, you are a sculptor (pg
129). Bourgeois decided to give up painting and try sculpting. Her first sculptures were made out
of balsa wood that were tall and abstract, which she would call her personages. Ana Mendieta and
Bourgeois had several things in common, they both were sculptors and they both lost someone that
was dear to their heart. One had a mother that died of an illness and the other had to move from
Cuba to the United States in 1961. Mendieta decided to make sculptures in landscape because she
no longer had a motherland that she

Gender and Discrimination in Sports: Soccer
How many fans do you see supporting women s Soccer teams? Why are women receiving less
acknowledgements for their success towards sports than men? Do you know any girl who is
interested in playing soccer and is not on the team just because she is a girl? Well I do. Such an
incidence happened in one of my best friend s lives. It took place at my high school back in my
country, Ethiopia. My best friend is really interested in soccer. She will give up anything for it.
When we were in high school, she used to play soccer with the boys in her spare time. The boys
used to let her play only on their trainings because she was not part of the team. So one day, they
lost a match with another high school because one of their best defense players got injured. That
day, my best friend decided to ask the coach if she could be on the team. Disbelief was apparent
on his face. He laughed at her really hard and then told the other team members about her question.
Everybody started to make fun of her. Even though they knew she was the best defense player,
they prohibited her to be on their team just because she was a girl. Due to gender and discrimination
, women are experiencing harassment, lacking job opportunities lacking athletic scholarships and
also lacking equality with men in the sports professions. Historically, women have been

Functions of the Upper Respiratory Tract
There are three major organs in the upper respiratory tract. The nose, the pharynx, and the larynx
are all located outside of the chest cavity and play a major role in sustaining life. These three
anatomical parts help draw in oxygen from the atmosphere to the lungs for gas exchange.
However, these organs do not only contribute to the exchange of gases but also provide separate
functions as well. The nose is the organ that projects above the mouth on the face of a person or an
animal. The nose contains the nostrils and is used for breathing and smelling. It is the only external
portion of the respiratory system. The nose is not comprised of bone but rather of cartilage. The
nose has tiny hairs and sticky mucus which traps dust particles. The main role of the nose is to
move dust particles to the nostril openings so they can be removed from the body. The pharynx is
the membrane lined cavity that lies behind the nose and mouth. The pharynx connects the nose
and mouth to the esophagus. Food and air pass through the pharynx before reaching their final
destination. The pharynx is sometimes referred to as the throat. It contains a protrusion called the
uvula which can be seen when looking in an opened mouth. The main role of the pharynx is to
assist humans in speech and allow food and air into the body. The larynx is essential to human
speech. The larynx is also known as the voice box. It is a muscular organ that forms an air
passageway to the lungs. It

Random Acts Of Kindness, Altruistic And Prosocial Behavior
Comparison Matrix Paper Random acts of kindness, altruistic and prosocial behavior can
elaborate to being a hero. An elderly lady is standing in a grocery line fumbling through her bag
to find the change needed to complete her transaction, yet she ends up empty handed. A young
man behind here hesitates to ask if he could be of assistance, yet the heroic behavior would be to
give her the amount needed to complete the transaction, a prosocial behavior. Prosocial behavior
is any act performed with the goals of benefiting another person (Aronson, Wilson, Akert, 2010).
This comparison matrix paper will show the differences and similarities of the authors by
comparing their introductions, the purpose of each study, their research questions, the literature
reviews, the sample population, study limitations, results and conclusions, and suggested topics
for future studies. Franco, Blau, and Zimbardo (2011) offer a straightforward definition of
heroism as to act in a prosocial manner without a personal gain. They continue by explaining that
only a few can reach heroic status and must be equipped with the proper skills or luck. Whereas,
Harvey, Erdos, and Turnbull (2009) defines heroism in their article s introduction as a man or
woman of distinguished bravery, a person who is reverenced and put on a pedestal, or any famous
person. These researchers find differences in opinions as to the definition of heroism. Franco et al.
(2011) argues heroes work without capital gains; whereas,

Most of the early ESBLs were mainly ceftazidimases with little or no hydrolytic activity against
cefotaxime. ESBLs often showed variable substrate preference with some enzymes hydrolyzing
one cephalosporin type better than the others. The first enzyme with the capability of
cefotaxime hydrolysis but unable to hydrolyze ceftazidime was reported from an E. coli strain
isolated from a dog that was used as a model to study cephalosporin pharmacokinetics in Japan in
1986. It was initially named as FEC 1 but later found to be similar to CTX M 3 on subsequent
amino acid sequencing. The first clinical isolate with cefotaximase property was identified From an

The analysis revealed that the CTX M members of same group exhibited ≥94% identity while
≤90% with members of different groups. The evolutionary distances between groups reveal an
early divergence from a common ancestor.
Few members are shown below:
CTX M 1 cluster: CTX M 1, 3, 10, 15, 22, 23
CTX M 2 cluster: CTX M 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 20, 76, 77
CTX M 8 cluster: CTX M 8, 40, 63
CTX M 9 cluster: CTX M 9, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19
CTX M 25 cluster: CTX M 25, 26, 39, 41, 91
The origin of CTX M type ОІ lactamases was very different from that of TEM or SHV type ОІ
lactamases (Bonnet, 2004).These enzymes show only 40% resemblance to two most common
ESBLs, TEM and SHV. Each CTX M cluster has been correlated to the chromosomal bla genes
present in different Kluyvera species, that normally form human intestinal normal flora at low
counts. It is also considered as an opportunistic pathogen occasionally associated with infections of
urinary tract and skin in humans [Farmer et al, 1981; Sarriaetal, 2001]. It also exists in the
environment as a free living organism in water, soil, sewage and animal food. Chromosomal bla
gene, kluC, present in Kluyvera cryocrescens (kluC) has been considered the ancestor of the CTX
M 1cluster (Decousser et al., 2001). The enzymes of CTX M 2 cluster are believed to origin from
kluA gene of Kluyvera ascorbata (Humeniuk et al., 2002), CTX M 8

Sexism In Afghanistan
Over a decade of Western intervention in Afghanistan has opened the door for modernity but,
cultural change is rarely linear. The history of Afghanistan through a feminist perspective truly
indicates this non linear progress. Kevin Seiff wrote, Afghan women caught between modernity,
tradition for The Washington Post. This article recounts the narrative of Farima; a young
fiancГ©e who sought to escape her arranged marriage. Seiff begins the article with Farima s
attempt to escape her marital fate, Just before she leapt from her roof into the streets of Kabul,
Farima thought of the wedding that would never happen and the man she would never marry

Separation of religion from state, banning burqas, and raising the minimum age of marriage were
part of the reforms that the PDPA implemented. Images from the 1970s depict young women
walking to or from school sporting mini skirts and loose hair. These vintage pictures dramatically
contrast pictures from modern Afghanistan, depicting women completely covered, head to toe in
plain, blue textiles. The burqa was uncommon until the Talibantook over the country as a result of
the Soviet Union toppling the nation s government, leading to civil conflict. The Taliban s re
establishment of more Sharia Law resulted in the devolution of the culturally progressive legislature
that was part of both President Daoud and the PDPA s respective agendas. It is common to analyze
the cultural struggle between modernity and tradition through a western feminist lens that greatly
relies on the juxtaposition of women before and after the establishment of the Taliban in
Afghanistan. Gender is one way to look at the difference in culture, but another perspective is
sexuality. Homosexuality in Muslim majority countries has, throughout history, been a volatile

Brief Description Of Manila, Philippines
BODY
I.Brief Description of Manila, Philippines.
Manila is the capital of the Philippines and it is located in Luzon; which is the largest island in the
archipelago. Due to its convenient location for a trade route, it is known as the Pearl of the Orient.
Before Manila was rebuilt, the city suffered many episodes of destruction during World War II
(WWII) where the Japanese invasion occurred. Even though Manila is believed to be one of
Southeast Asia s best capital cities for its breathtaking views and culture, it has its flaws. Manila is
filled with crime, corruption, overpopulation, and the daily inevitable and cumbersome traffic jams.
Yet, this city is still the biggest, most developed and prosperous when compared to the other cities
in the Philippines.
II.The Importance of Preserving Historical Landmarks
Historical landmarks are just as important as every other building that has ever existed. They all
have a purpose; yet people still choose to demolish these structures. It shows a lack of respect
towards the architectural monuments. Most believe that creating brand new buildings is cheaper
and more beneficial rather than maintaining the ancient ones but it is the opposite. You can save
money by preserving them; building a brand new structure costs more.

Drilling Process Of Natural Gas
Natural gas is useful for multiple purposes. The gas is used everywhere including homes all
around the world, but no one questions where it comes from. Natural gas is found in the
Marcellus shale which is a rock of sediment most prominently located in northeastern America.
The sedimentary rock is thousands of feet down in the earth making it hard to obtain. Mankind
was finally able to reach this rock through a technique called fracking which is simply a kind of
drilling. Once a desired location is found, they begin the drilling process by going straight down.
As the drill is proceeding downward, lubricant and air must be pumped to aide with creating a

When the water goes into the well not only is it mixed with chemicals, but it comes back up with
other particles, too. This wastewater can be radioactive and can be taken back to a sewage treatment
that doesn t even check for radioactivity. The sewage treatment plant should check for
radioactivity, but since some are unregulated, they don t. Some companies even take the
wastewater and put it back into the streams disposing it improperly. Drilling also causes both air
and noise pollution. When drilling, many harmful gases can be released into the air. A study was
conducted around a hospital with nearby heavy drilling and there was a twenty five percent
asthma rate in young children. Drilling is around the clock and it doesn t help that it is very
noisy, too. Although the benefits are good, the inconveniences out way the good because there is
an abundance of them and there are possible harmful long term effects that could arise in the
future. There are hundreds of chemicals used to drill into the Marcellus Shale. Some of these
chemicals can be dangerous to the environment such as hydrochloric acid. Hydrochloric acid is
harmful because it is toxic to all forms of life. It is carried through the air infecting it. This acid is a

Compensation Systems Compensation systems can take on many forms, all of which have
positives and negatives related to it. However, certain components are noted to be determinants of
solid compensation plans. One agreement of a solid compensation system is the use of incentives.
Clearly a successful companies set objectives that will provide incentives to increase profitability
(Needles amp; Powers, 2011). Incentive bonuses should be measures that the company finds
important to long term growth. According to Needles amp; Powers (2011) the most successful
companies long term focused on profitability measures. For large for profit firms, compensation
programs should offer stock options. The interweaving between the market value of a company s
stock and company s performance both motivate and increase compensation to employees As the
market value of the stock goes up, the difference between the option price and the market price
grows, which increases the amount of compensation (Needles amp; Powers, 2011). Conclusively,
a compensation plan should serve all stakeholders, be simple, group employees properly, reflect
company culture and values, and be flexible (Davis amp; Hardy, 1999; The Basics of a
Compensation Program).
Four compensation models are laid out by the Bangor Family Physician case study. These models
include: (1) revenue model; (2) net income model; (3) base salary plus

Benefits Of Private School Education
How important is it for you to provide this for underprivileged students?
It s huge for me to help all kids, kids are our future if we give them all the tools they can do
anything they want in this world. For me, it s trying to put kids in the right situation, and give them
the opportunity to succeed in whatever field they choose.
Did you have many educational experiences such as the one that you re currently providing
growing up in SC?
I went to a private high school, my parents received help from a lot of anonymous donors that I m
truly grateful for. It s cool that I m in the position to help kids do the same thing that was given to
me.
How was the educational system for you growing up before you went to private school?
It was rough, I went to public school up into seventh grade my parents felt like private school was
going to help me be a better leader so they stressed a private school education. It was a dramatic
change for me, but I needed it for college, and for after college.
What s the difference between Public and Private School?
It was different, in Public school you have everyone from your neighborhood, and the
surrounding neighborhoods, it was fun, but going to private school is different, you have all these
types of kids from all over Charleston that were all about their education. It was a huge change for
me and it took me a while to adjust, but looking back it was the best decision that I made.

the condition or location of the property is the primary driver behind not only the large reduction in
list price, but ultimately a sales price well below the initial list price, all of which contribute to
extended days on market and an increase in carrying costs incurred by the Trust. We believe one of
the contributors to this relates to the Altisource process where the listing agent is not local to the
property and typically has not personally visited the assetto assess the condition, the location, drive
by the comps and generally may not be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because Altisource cannot be directed to set the list price of an asset, RMS attempts to get
Altisource to recognize assets that are listed too high and to make appropriate adjustments that will
generate activity and offers.
RMS continues to review assets where we believe the list price set by Altisource is high relative
to our opinion of market value. On listed assets with DOM of more than 60 days, RMS and
Altisource discuss the list price and agent feedback to understand why purchase offers have not
been received. RMS targets these assets for review every 2 weeks.
Another recent observation is an increase in the number of assets in pending contract that fall
out because the buyer fails to return the purchase agreement. This trend has continued to
increase over the past several months. Although Altisource does not provide statistics regarding
overall fallout, RMS has seen an increase based on our observations and the weekly calls. We
believe this relates to the process by which Altisource sells REO assets (on the HUBZU
website), where there is no economic penalty to the bidder if they place an offer on a property
but fail to deliver an executed purchase agreement (similar to what would happen in a traditional
sale transaction). In addition, we believe the lack of agent to agent contact and knowledge of
whether a buyer visits the property prior to making an offer also play a role in the increased
fallout. Altisource reports

Disparity Between Imprisonment Rate And Crime Rate
The Disparity Between Imprisonment Rate and Crime Rate in Australia
By Christopher Batho During the period of 2002 to 2014, the imprisonment rate in Australia
increased while at the same time the crime rate decreased. This essay will aim to give reasons and
theories as to why this apparent disparity between the rising imprisonment rate and decreasing crime
rate exists. To do this, the purposes for punishment will be examined, how and why this purpose of
punishment has changed over time, the sociological and criminological theories that best explain
this disparity, and finally the implications on society through these criminal justice trends. However
firstly we will examine the statistics that prove this disparity. Between 2002 and ... Show more

Property crime includes unlawful entry with intent (UEWI), motor vehicle theft (MVT) and other
theft. The total number of offences for property crime has decreased from 1,188,582 in 2002 to
773348 in 2012. From both sets of data, it can be calculated that in the period of 2002 to 2012, the
imprisonment rate increased 13.5 percent yet the violent crime and property crime rates decreased
26 percent and 35 percent respectively. The question is, how is this possible? This will be answered
later but now the purposes for punishment will now be studied. When a person is guilty of a crime,
it is society s job to punish this person for their act. Once the person has been found guilty, they are
then sentenced by a judge with a certain purpose or purposes for the punishment. The main four
purposes used are retribution, deterrence, rehabilitation and incapacitation. Retribution is defined
by Mani as the offender must be punished simply because the wrongful act merits condemnation
and punishment. (Reference). Deterrence is based on the idea that criminal behaviour can be
deterred if punishment is swift, certain, and severe enough to counter the benefits or pleasure
gained from committing crime. (Reference). Rehabilitation of an offender may be achieved through
education or therapy. However, it must be understood that in order for rehabilitation to be

Surcharge Essay
The process is done by simply placing a surcharge fill on top of the soil that requires
consolidation. The excess load is referred to as surcharge load. The load must be placed in several
stages so as to prevent instability. Once the predicted consolidation is achieved, the fill can be
removed and construction can be started. Surcharge which was installed as a temporary load, can
be removed when the settlements exceed the foretold final settlement. Normally this is done only
after the remaining excess pore water pressurebecomes less than the stress increase caused by the
temporary surcharge. If the surcharge is higher than the work load, the soil will always be in an
over consolidated state.
The secondary compression for over consolidated soil is much smaller than that of normally
consolidated soil. The secondary settlement can be reduced or even eliminated either by increasing
the time of temporary overloading or by using a heavier overload.
Advantages of preloading:
Equipment cost is less since only conventional earthmoving equipment is needed.
Any contractor can perform the work, as specialized knowledge in not required.

Generally this technique requires the application of a surcharge loading to squeeze water out of
the soft clay soils. Such loading must be equal to or in excess of the service loading to which the

important advantage of the vacuum is the isotropic nature of the vacuum pressure and the
correlated improvement of the stability under preloading, reducing considerably the risk of slope

U.s. Federal Department Of Homeland Security
The idea of the establishment of the Department of Homeland Security evolved into the biggest
U.S. government reorganization in American history. Prior to the establishment of the Department,
Americans increasingly became concerned about terrorism on our soil. This concern was triggered
by the World Trade Center bombing in 1993, the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995 as well as the
discovery of a bomb at the Atlanta Olympics in 1994. Additionally, it became more apparent to the
Americans that terrorism has a growing global reach. The U.S. commissions looked at different
aspects of the U.S. national security, the Hart Rudman Commission, the Gilmore Commission as

President George W. Bush, appointed Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge as the first Director of the
Office of Homeland Security in the White House. The office duties are to oversee and coordinate a

Department of Homeland Security became a stand alone, Cabinet level department. The department
s vision is to coordinate and unify national homeland security efforts. The creation of the
department forms the most substantial reorganization of the federal government agencies since the
National Security Acts of 1947. Ultimately this placed military departments under a secretary of

Third World Socialism Essay
Third World Socialism
Many United States citizens are frightened by the word Socialism. However, the predominant
ideology in most Third World countries is socialism. There are many reasons why Third World
countries have turned to socialism as their form of government. The main reason the Third World
has taken on the concept of socialism is because of the history of feudalism and colonialism that
these countries faced for so many years. Socialism was seen as a way to reform the land of many
underdeveloped countries. Socialism believes the government needs to intervene to make sure no
feudalism or unjust land ownership systems are being enforced.
For many years, Third World countries were being exploited by the British. Many of these... Show

There are many aspects of socialism that many of the third world countries practice. The first aspect
of socialism is the rejection of communism and capitalism. Capitalism reminds them of their hated
feudal system and the exploitation that it involved. They also feel that communism lacks incentive
because it states that people should work only according to their abilities and will receive what
they need from the government. Due to the injustices that these people faced under a similar
system, it is obvious that capitalism or communism will not provide any motivation for it s people
to work harder.
Third World socialism also advocates the idea of natural resources belonging to the nation and it s
people and not to the individual whose land they are located on. For instance, if a family owns a
home and oil is discovered there, the government will take the oil and distribute it to the nation.
This is very important because previously, under feudalism, if a person owned land containing oil,
than that person owned the oil. Since the majority of the landowners were the rich British,
feudalism helped the rich get richer and kept the poor in poverty. It is easy to see why Third
World countries feel it is so important to distribute the wealth more equally. Since many of these
Third World countries are rich in natural resources, it makes sense to make sure that nobody can
exploit their resources again.
Another idea of Third World Socialism is that all public

Reflective Essay On Service Learning
Service learning is always viewed as being something you just have to do. If you want a good
grade, then you do it, but you rush through it because you don t appreciate the opportunity. I used
to think about it that way because it seemed like it was just wasting my time. However, I ve
discovered that the older I get, the more I analyze things, whether it be school work or general life
questions. Over the summer, I had an abundance of time to think things through and work out
everything in my mind. I believe that service learningcan help you realise your passion as it did
with me. I volunteered at Martin Millennium to help clean up their campus and revitalize the Earth
on which their school stands. I spread mulch in areas of dry soil and around the playground, so the
kids could play without fear of hurting themselves. We spread the mulch around the trees and by the
walkways. I volunteered at the Tender Merciespet organization as well. I helped feed the dogs and
walk them outside. I did the daily routine of washing food bowls and dog blankets too. During my
time volunteering at Tender Mercies, I learned that no matter how many times you think you ve
seen it all, you will always find something to amaze you. I ve previously said that over the the
summer, I thoughtabout things and sometimes thinking too much can lead to bad things. I don t

Hemophilia
Introduction to Hemophilia
Hemophilia is term coined by Johann Schönlein is derived for Greek and Latin words that refer
to one who loves to bleed or hemorrhage (Carson DeWitt, 2014). Hemophilia is a disorder in the
body s mechanism of clotting. In simpler terms, people afflicted with hemophilia have a risk of
bleeding out from minor injuries.
Types of Hemophilia
There are three types of hemophilia (hemophilia A, hemophilia B, hemophilia C). Hemophilia A
is more common and it is caused by a deficiency of factor VIII (Carson DeWitt, 2014). This
deficiency can vary in severity. This is why each case of Hemophilia varies in each case. Most
people have severe Hemophilia which means that the factor is functioning at a hundredth of what it
should be. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hemophilia like many diseases doesn t have a cure at the moment. There are treatment plans
available. A doctor will prescribe transfusions usually. Factor replacement therapy injects the
missing factor into the system which immediately provides the missing blood clotting factor the
afflicted person is missing. These transfusions can be made from human blood or blood from an
animal. When the transfusion is from a human, the proteins extracted for the transfusion are
sterilized to prevent any blood related diseases. When the transfusion is taken from an animal,
the factor desired to be produced is injected into the animal, so it can then produce large amounts
of it. After that, the factor is extracted and it is then stabilized so it can be used in humans. The
reason why a doctor must be seen for hemophiliacs to be treated is that, hemophilia varies in
severity from case to case. This is because every person produces a different amount of the blood
clotting factor. One hemophiliac may produce 15% of what a normal person produces while
another hemophiliac may produce only 1% of what a normal person produces (HoG) . The amount
and regularity of transfusions depend on severity of

How Did Geography Affect Ancient China
In ancient times, the geography of ancient river valleys affected the growth and success of a
civilization. Ancient Sumer and Ancient China were strongly changed by the geographic features
they had around them. Many river valleys during this time, including Ancient China and Ancient
Sumer, developed around rivers. These rivers gave the civilizations fertile soil, which lead to a
surplus in food, for farming foods and crops was the most common way to grow food for families.
Rivers also gave people water and other resources that were necessary for living during this time.
Sumerdeveloped around two rivers, the Euphrates and Tigris Rivers. These rivers flowed parallel
to each other and the land in between the rivers was called Mesopotamia. This land had very fertile

The Pairing Family The first indications of pairing are found in families where the husband has
one primary wife. Inbreeding is practically eradicated by the prevention of a marriage between
two family members who were even just remotely related, while relationships also start to
approach monogamy The Monogamous Family * This form evolved out of the pairing family in
the transitional period between the middle and upper stages of barbarism at the dawn of
civilization. It is based on the supremacy of the man, the express purpose being to produce
children of undisputed paternity. While we cannot speak of monogamy yet in the modern sense
of the word, since men were still free to have extramarital sex as much as they wished to,
Xenophon in his Oeconomus pointed out that such behavior was seen as degrading for men, and
that it could harm their public image as it was frowned upon. While the Monogamous Family is
not yet based on sex love , and is better referred to as hetaeristic, its emphasis on legitimacy and
inheritance did form the basis for the monogamous relationship.

Summary Of Truth Is In The Ear Of The Beholder By Gregory...
Rumors tend to be successful not because of our logic or common sense, but because of our
surroundings. In Truth is in the Ear of the Beholder by Gregory Rodriguez he analyzes how and
why rumors are successful .There are many factors that may answer our question .But as
Rodriquez states, rumors thrive because those who hear them are predisposed to believe them .
People are not capabl3e of in taking I formation in an unbiased manner, as studies have
uncovered. Reason for this being is what Rodrigues calls, biased assimilation this means people
will process information given to them that agrees or identifies with their beliefs .Any
information given that may challenge peoples current beliefs is rejected in their minds. For
example the Barack Obama rumor which stated that he wasn t a U.S born citizen. Many

rumors are spread during difficult periods in time. Rumors tend to give comfort to people during

The Story Of The Great Story Late August And School
It s late August and school is about to start, everyone s thinking of the great story s their going to
tell their friends when they get back. I had the perfect story to tell, my dad had just bought a

get together to help the Grandparents of the familyhave a garagesale. We were all together at the
end of the day, except my dad, and Aunt and Uncle, who were in the Cities. They were coming
back to day, much to our excitement. The sun was setting behind the big maple tree in the front
yard, and a dark truck, with its headlights shining through the darkness was coming our way.
Dads back! my brother yelled in excitement, catching everyone s attention. We ran out to go meet
the truck as it came to a stop. Our dad got out and told us he has a surprise for us. We followed
him back around to the back of the truck. Dad pulled the tail gate down, and I looked on in
surprise. It s a motorcycle! Mom s not going to be happy. Those were the first thoughts that came to
mindas the miniature motorcycle was being lifted out of the truck. It looked just like the
motorcycles I d seen around town but smaller, the perfect size for kids. It was cherry red and
about 3 feet long and 2 feet high, it looked so small but awesome none the less. We didn t get to

  • 2. Gonadotropin Simulation Gonadotropins are a group of hormones that are secreted by the pituitary gland that starts the production of the gonads. The reason gonadotropins are used in fertility is because it has FSH and LH hormone that aids in producing eggs in order for a woman to ovulate. So in other words, if a women does not have enough hormone to start ovulationshe will be given a rFSH for about 12 days to help the eggs mature and then a dose of gonadotropin to start the ovulation process. In the female reproductive system a hormone known as estrogen is controlled by gonadotropin which is controlled by negative feedback. Also the release of FSH and LH and will stop the body to release the egg to get fertilize. Because estrogen and progesterone controls the hormone levels in a female in return will stop estrogen from increasing during the cycle. If progesterone remains high this will stop FSH and LH from releasing this will cause the egg from maturing and will stop the ovulation process. Estrogen and progesterone are involved because it aids in the stopping of a woman period. It allows the fluid in the virgina to become thick and the uterus lining so the fertilized egg cannot attach. Pregnancy is similar to birth control because when you are taking birth control a large amount of progesterone is released and maintained so it can prevent the release of FSH and LH in the body to stop ovulation so you will not get pregnant and the uterus lining will shed due to no fertilized egg and you will have a period. However, if the egg is fertilized ones the egg is planted on the uterus wall and the hormone corteum luteum will produce progesterone so the egg that is implanted can grow. This will also stop the release of the FSH and the LH hormone so that ovulation cannot take ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Marketing Applications Of The App Distribution is one of the most important aspects of marketing applications. Consumers are not able to purchase them at a traditional store and different distribution channels are required. The main channel for distributing FUV will be the Google, Amazon, Android, and Apple application stores. As users download FUV, the intermediaries selling the app will receive a percentage of the sale. Each of these stores requires a different percentage of the sale starting at about 27% (Bergvall Kareborn Howcroft, 2014). At release this cost will diminish profits earned by the app, but as the app becomes more popular and the add ons are purchased, profits will increase (Cho, Lee, Quinlan, 2015). As FUV becomes more popular, each of the app... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Partnerships After the initial launch of FUV, the app will advertise in the print ads of partnered stores. In return for advertising the app in their ads, FUV will advertise for the stores in the app. Banner ads will feature different stores with the ad frequency mirroring the advertisement of FUV in the stores own ads. Stores that offer a larger ad to FUV will be featured more often than those that only supply a small ad space. Partner store coupons will also be offered within the app. These coupons will be taken from stores print ads and will be available within the app. Coupons will be displayed as product recommendations, as well as when a listed ingredient inventory is low or out of stock. Coupons and ad banners will push users towards partner stores, encouraging these stores to continue and increase advertising FUV. Supply chain Management Initially, supply chain management will be extensive. Apps that are released and marketed just before a new product, such as a new model of smartphone or tablet, is released experience a higher than average number of downloads. The high volume of downloads can cause issues with internal servers and data transfer (Cho, Lee, Quinlan, 2015). Remaining in contact with app stores to ensure that FUV is downloading as it should will be vital to a successful launch. If the app data is not sent to the correct app stores at the correct time, there may be a delay in the availability of the app, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is something that each person holds on to, and lets it shape themselves, their personality, and their interactions with other people. Senator John Thune believes that, Having a Christian worldview shapes my decision making with respect to all aspects of my life. I always respect people in public life who are principled, and those principles have to connecte to something. And my faith is what serves as the anchor and directs my actions. This worldview, which states that truth is subject to the individual, finds popularity among the Millennial Generation, as continuing to grow in this culture of self satisfaction. In theological terms, Postmodernism believes that Atheism is too objective to their belief. That in Atheism still holds the same philosophical principles clerically to Theism. The main principle of Postmodernism is to rid the world of religion, which if assuming Atheism as a main religion, it defeats the problem the Postmodernism tries to fight. For Postmodernists, truth is subjective. It is only found within a person, not applying to anything else. To derive ethics, Postmodernists There are three foundations of Postmodernism that come together to create to create the world view. These three things combine together to create a world view of postmodernism. Postmodernists believe in evolution, yet they will specifically never endorses a specific type due to the fact that it would set a universal law upon all. The way they migrate and reproduce makes them fascinating to learn about, but also it makes them very vulnerable to environmental problems. Human development of beaches, fishing practices, and other environmental threats are threatening sea turtles across the world. In this paper I will describe the types of sea turtles and some of the special things about how they live and reproduce. Then, I will talk about some of the threats that they face. Finally, I will discuss possible solutions to helping them thrive in the modern world. Types of Sea TurtlesThere are several types of sea turtles in the world. Each of them has a long migration pattern, and each has declined greatly in population recently. For instance, the loggerhead sea turtle can migrate as much as 10,000 miles. Their populations have declined massively and there is a high risk that they will become extinct in the Pacific Ocean within the next 60 years. The leatherback sea turtle differs from other types in that it has a soft shell and other adaptations that allow it to survive in cold environments. It has faced large declines and may become extinct within the next several decades. Hawksbill sea turtles are found in tropical regions and rely on healthy reefs for survival. • 8. American Perspective On Hackers Analysis: The American Perspective On Hackers The issue of public information has always been a controversy in our world. One of our country s founding arguments was based on the necessity of free speech and free information. Many now believe that our government is being overly restrictive on information, blocking and controlling some aspects of free speech that first amendment advocates feel are necessary to maintain our American society. These advocates of free information have been using the nickname hackers for over twenty years, but improper use by the media has stretched the word to slanderous levels. The irrationality of this fear is proven by the contrasting attitude of technically oriented society. The technically oriented part of society is made up of (at the very minimum) very advanced home users, capable of modifying parts of their computer and fixing most problems. This sect also includes network administrators and operators, most programmers, and most computer hardware specialists. Not all programmers or hardware specialists fall under this description, because many of them do not have or need a full understanding of a computer in order to complete their job. These technically oriented people have enough knowledge about computers so as to not automatically resort to fear. Most of them understand the vast difference between a cyber vandal and a true hacker. In fact, most of them have acted as either a cyber vandal, hacker, or both at some time in their past. They generally see that actual hackers are not intent on damaging things. Actual hackers are content with the free spread of information and thought. The people that technically inclined individuals avoid and sometimes fear are the delinquents and vandals who find it amusing to damage and ruin data. In an attempt to make people think they are anything more than attention starved brats with computers, these vandals prefer to be called hackers. The most amazing set of opinions comes from the ... Class conflict will be reflected in different forms of art because the marxist school believes that everything in a society is based on the current modes of production. A change to the mode of production will bring change to politics, law, philosophy, religion, and art. Max Horkheimer, Theodor W. Art will be made for the purpose of reproduction to reach the highest audience. The aura of an object will no longer matter because it will not be part of the class consciousness. As Benjamin brings up the debate of the cult value versus the exhibition value, the value of art will change so that it s only function will be based on how many times it can be reproduced. Horkheimer and Adorno describe the culture industry as, millions participate in it, certain reproduction processes are necessary that inevitably require identical needs in innumerable places to be satisfied with identical goods (1256). Benjamin argues that as soon as the authenticity is lost, art s function is transformed. Horkheimer and Adorno describe a new function of art, to produce for mass consumption. Those in control of the modes of production want to replace the ritual value with a exhibition value to increase profit. Thus creating a bigger divide between the working class and the upper class. Art is being given a new value under capitalism. Benjamin suggests that what is being created within the society is correlated to that value that society puts on art. The quality of art being produced will shift from the cult value and the exhibition value. As Horkheimer and Adorno describe as art being created for almost instantaneous disposal, the culture doesn t allow art to be held on to but rather be discarded for the new. Mechanical ... Sometime prior to the autumn of 1803, the Englishman John Dalton was able to explain the results of some of his studies by assuming that matter is composed of atoms and that all samples of any given compound consist of the same combination of these atoms. Dalton also noted that in series of compounds, the ratios of the masses of the second element that combine with a given weight of the first element can be reduced to small whole numbers (the law of multiple proportions). This was further evidence for atoms. Two weeks later I was called by my recruiter and was told that a spot had just opened up and I could leave in just a few short days. I decided to go for it and the rest is history. I had dreams to adventure as far away as possible for school. I had dreams of traveling and seeing the world and using my education as my excuse. But, I am a commuter at Sacred Heart University and travel all of 12 minutes to get from my home to my education. How all my dreams to get away came spiraling down is my story. My college story did not begin 12 minutes away from home. My story started off as pursuing my dream of traveling, even if it was only three hours from home. I spent one semester, four months, in which I thought was my dream. I am independent, I am spontaneous and I am adventurous, or so I thought. Living my dream was the only way I found out that I was small and shy. I was an outcast how terrifying. I started at Seton Hall University, in South Orange New Jersey, where I found out that living my dream meant living with four other girls, that sucked. I was used to living with one other girl in the room, my sister. But that is my sister and who cares if she liked to sleep with the TV on, I was turning it off and would fight with her about turning to back on with no shame. But, I was living with unfamiliar hair swimming in the shower I was supposed to get clean in. I was able to smell disgusting smells from the bathroom while laying in my perfume sprayed room. This song, by the Beatles, shares the well known idea of being free as a bird. Since the beginning of time, mankind has wondered what it would feel like to fly, to travel around the world, and to be free. Humans have idolised the talents of birds for this reason. They can go wherever, whenever, and always seem happy soaring through the sky at their own leisure. While birds used to all roam free, now, approximately 3,700,000 of the 8,300,000 birds are being kept as household pets in the United States according to www.avma.org. That s about 44% of the birds in the United States that are kept in cages. Naturally, these birds yearn to fly free and be happy, but instead they are trapped in tiny cages, or, for the lucky ones, some are thrown in a cage as big as a living room television. Well I do. Such an incidence happened in one of my best friend s lives. It took place at my high school back in my country, Ethiopia. My best friend is really interested in soccer. The nose, the pharynx, and the larynx are all located outside of the chest cavity and play a major role in sustaining life. These three anatomical parts help draw in oxygen from the atmosphere to the lungs for gas exchange. However, these organs do not only contribute to the exchange of gases but also provide separate functions as well. The nose is the organ that projects above the mouth on the face of a person or an animal. The nose contains the nostrils and is used for breathing and smelling. It is the only external portion of the respiratory system. The nose is not comprised of bone but rather of cartilage. The nose has tiny hairs and sticky mucus which traps dust particles. The main role of the nose is to move dust particles to the nostril openings so they can be removed from the body. The pharynx is the membrane lined cavity that lies behind the nose and mouth. The pharynx connects the nose and mouth to the esophagus. Food and air pass through the pharynx before reaching their final destination. The pharynx is sometimes referred to as the throat. It contains a protrusion called the uvula which can be seen when looking in an opened mouth. The main role of the pharynx is to assist humans in speech and allow food and air into the body. Clearly a successful companies set objectives that will provide incentives to increase profitability (Needles amp; Powers, 2011). Incentive bonuses should be measures that the company finds important to long term growth. According to Needles amp; Powers (2011) the most successful companies long term focused on profitability measures. For large for profit firms, compensation programs should offer stock options. The interweaving between the market value of a company s stock and company s performance both motivate and increase compensation to employees As the market value of the stock goes up, the difference between the option price and the market price grows, which increases the amount of compensation (Needles amp; Powers, 2011). Effects Of Rms On The Weekly Calls As RMS continues to indicate, based on our observations and more importantly on the review of assets during our weekly calls with Altisource, RMS continues to believe on many of these assets, the condition or location of the property is the primary driver behind not only the large reduction in list price, but ultimately a sales price well below the initial list price, all of which contribute to extended days on market and an increase in carrying costs incurred by the Trust. We believe one of the contributors to this relates to the Altisource process where the listing agent is not local to the property and typically has not personally visited the assetto assess the condition, the location, drive by the comps and generally may not be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Because Altisource cannot be directed to set the list price of an asset, RMS attempts to get Altisource to recognize assets that are listed too high and to make appropriate adjustments that will generate activity and offers. RMS continues to review assets where we believe the list price set by Altisource is high relative to our opinion of market value. On listed assets with DOM of more than 60 days, RMS and Altisource discuss the list price and agent feedback to understand why purchase offers have not been received. RMS targets these assets for review every 2 weeks. Another recent observation is an increase in the number of assets in pending contract that fall out because the buyer fails to return the purchase agreement. This trend has continued to increase over the past several months. Although Altisource does not provide statistics regarding overall fallout, RMS has seen an increase based on our observations and the weekly calls. We believe this relates to the process by which Altisource sells REO assets (on the HUBZU website), where there is no economic penalty to the bidder if they place an offer on a property but fail to deliver an executed purchase agreement (similar to what would happen in a traditional sale transaction). In addition, we believe the lack of agent to agent contact and knowledge of whether a buyer visits the property prior to making an offer also play a role in the increased fallout. • 39. Disparity Between Imprisonment Rate And Crime Rate The Disparity Between Imprisonment Rate and Crime Rate in Australia By Christopher Batho During the period of 2002 to 2014, the imprisonment rate in Australia increased while at the same time the crime rate decreased. This essay will aim to give reasons and theories as to why this apparent disparity between the rising imprisonment rate and decreasing crime rate exists. To do this, the purposes for punishment will be examined, how and why this purpose of punishment has changed over time, the sociological and criminological theories that best explain this disparity, and finally the implications on society through these criminal justice trends. However firstly we will examine the statistics that prove this disparity. Between 2002 and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The total number of offences for property crime has decreased from 1,188,582 in 2002 to 773348 in 2012. From both sets of data, it can be calculated that in the period of 2002 to 2012, the imprisonment rate increased 13.5 percent yet the violent crime and property crime rates decreased 26 percent and 35 percent respectively. The question is, how is this possible? This will be answered later but now the purposes for punishment will now be studied. When a person is guilty of a crime, it is society s job to punish this person for their act. Once the person has been found guilty, they are then sentenced by a judge with a certain purpose or purposes for the punishment. The main four purposes used are retribution, deterrence, rehabilitation and incapacitation. Retribution is defined by Mani as the offender must be punished simply because the wrongful act merits condemnation and punishment. (Reference). Deterrence is based on the idea that criminal behaviour can be deterred if punishment is swift, certain, and severe enough to counter the benefits or pleasure gained from committing crime. • 41. Surcharge Essay The process is done by simply placing a surcharge fill on top of the soil that requires consolidation. The excess load is referred to as surcharge load. The load must be placed in several stages so as to prevent instability. Once the predicted consolidation is achieved, the fill can be removed and construction can be started. Surcharge which was installed as a temporary load, can be removed when the settlements exceed the foretold final settlement. Normally this is done only after the remaining excess pore water pressurebecomes less than the stress increase caused by the temporary surcharge. If the surcharge is higher than the work load, the soil will always be in an over consolidated state. The secondary compression for over consolidated soil is much smaller than that of normally consolidated soil. The secondary settlement can be reduced or even eliminated either by increasing the time of temporary overloading or by using a heavier overload. However, the predominant ideology in most Third World countries is socialism. There are many reasons why Third World countries have turned to socialism as their form of government. The main reason the Third World has taken on the concept of socialism is because of the history of feudalism and colonialism that these countries faced for so many years. Socialism was seen as a way to reform the land of many underdeveloped countries. Socialism believes the government needs to intervene to make sure no feudalism or unjust land ownership systems are being enforced. There are many aspects of socialism that many of the third world countries practice. The first aspect of socialism is the rejection of communism and capitalism. Capitalism reminds them of their hated feudal system and the exploitation that it involved. They also feel that communism lacks incentive because it states that people should work only according to their abilities and will receive what they need from the government. Due to the injustices that these people faced under a similar system, it is obvious that capitalism or communism will not provide any motivation for it s people to work harder. Third World socialism also advocates the idea of natural resources belonging to the nation and it s people and not to the individual whose land they are located on. For instance, if a family owns a home and oil is discovered there, the government will take the oil and distribute it to the nation. This is very important because previously, under feudalism, if a person owned land containing oil, than that person owned the oil. Since the majority of the landowners were the rich British, feudalism helped the rich get richer and kept the poor in poverty. It is easy to see why Third World countries feel it is so important to distribute the wealth more equally. Since many of these Third World countries are rich in natural resources, it makes sense to make sure that nobody can exploit their resources again. Another idea of Third World Socialism is that all public ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Hemophilia is a disorder in the body s mechanism of clotting. In simpler terms, people afflicted with hemophilia have a risk of bleeding out from minor injuries. Types of Hemophilia There are three types of hemophilia (hemophilia A, hemophilia B, hemophilia C). Hemophilia A is more common and it is caused by a deficiency of factor VIII (Carson DeWitt, 2014). When the transfusion is from a human, the proteins extracted for the transfusion are sterilized to prevent any blood related diseases. When the transfusion is taken from an animal, the factor desired to be produced is injected into the animal, so it can then produce large amounts of it. After that, the factor is extracted and it is then stabilized so it can be used in humans. Inbreeding is practically eradicated by the prevention of a marriage between two family members who were even just remotely related, while relationships also start to approach monogamy The Monogamous Family * This form evolved out of the pairing family in the transitional period between the middle and upper stages of barbarism at the dawn of civilization. It is based on the supremacy of the man, the express purpose being to produce children of undisputed paternity. While we cannot speak of monogamy yet in the modern sense of the word, since men were still free to have extramarital sex as much as they wished to, Xenophon in his Oeconomus pointed out that such behavior was seen as degrading for men, and that it could harm their public image as it was frowned upon. While the Monogamous Family is not yet based on sex love , and is better referred to as hetaeristic, its emphasis on legitimacy and inheritance did form the basis for the monogamous relationship. • 53. Symbolism In Secret Window, Secret Garden By Stephen King In the gothic novella, Secret Window, Secret Garden, by Stephen King, the author uses mirrors as symbols to distinguish between reality and the imaginary. Whenever King references mirrors, Mort struggles with grasping actuality, thus Mort creates his own reality that deteriorates his mental state and ultimately his life. For instance, Mort believes that shooter is in his house, yet ironically Mort was not Shooter he was afraid of , but rather he was afraid of finding nothing , because internally, Mort knows that Shooters existence is simply an illusion (391). As Mort goes around the house looking for Shooter, he approaches the bathroom and looks into the mirror and realizes that the reflection of the mirror wasn t Shooter at all but ... • 54. Summary Of Truth Is In The Ear Of The Beholder By Gregory... Rumors tend to be successful not because of our logic or common sense, but because of our surroundings. In Truth is in the Ear of the Beholder by Gregory Rodriguez he analyzes how and why rumors are successful .There are many factors that may answer our question .But as Rodriquez states, rumors thrive because those who hear them are predisposed to believe them . People are not capabl3e of in taking I formation in an unbiased manner, as studies have uncovered. Reason for this being is what Rodrigues calls, biased assimilation this means people will process information given to them that agrees or identifies with their beliefs .Any information given that may challenge peoples current beliefs is rejected in their minds. For example the Barack Obama rumor which stated that he wasn t a U.S born citizen. Many believed he wasn t as for many it was based on the person s beliefs. But while listeners rejected evidence that opposed their point of views, some people weren t buying the evidence of Obamas proof of birth certificate. This is where biased assimilation plays a huge role.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Rodriguez emphasizes some factors that might answer our question such as educational level or a person s occupation. But a survey conducting research based on conspiracy theories resulted in the theory of education and occupation playing a role in successful rumors as being wrong. Though it may still be insignificant. There might also be another theory by psychologist Robert H Knapp s stating that, rumors express and gratify the emotional need . This quote might also explain why rumors are spread during difficult periods in time. Rumors tend to give comfort to people during catastrophic events, and somehow helps us better understand the world we live ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 55. The Story Of The Great Story Late August And School It s late August and school is about to start, everyone s thinking of the great story s their going to tell their friends when they get back. I had the perfect story to tell, my dad had just bought a motorcycle for my brother and me. The story, started off with a garage sale. In my family we all get together to help the Grandparents of the familyhave a garagesale. We were all together at the end of the day, except my dad, and Aunt and Uncle, who were in the Cities. They were coming back to day, much to our excitement. The sun was setting behind the big maple tree in the front yard, and a dark truck, with its headlights shining through the darkness was coming our way. Dads back! my brother yelled in excitement, catching everyone s attention. We ran out to go meet the truck as it came to a stop. Our dad got out and told us he has a surprise for us. We followed him back around to the back of the truck. Dad pulled the tail gate down, and I looked on in surprise. It s a motorcycle! Mom s not going to be happy. Those were the first thoughts that came to mindas the miniature motorcycle was being lifted out of the truck. It looked just like the motorcycles I d seen around town but smaller, the perfect size for kids. It was cherry red and about 3 feet long and 2 feet high, it looked so small but awesome none the less. We didn t get to drive the motorcycle that day because it needed to be tuned and my dad wanted to make sure it safe for us to drive. After we ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
