I am uploading all these notes only for the sake of Allah SWT. A very comprehensive and detailed Lecture Slide for Management Students (Related to Engineering)
Project management is about acquiring or achieving the project goal and Most projects need to be broken down into a logical sequence of ‘phases’, known as the project life cycle.
A contracting and project management firm, The Dalton Company has been involved with significant projects for nonprofits, including Toronto’s Wychwood Barns. Using ArtsBuild’s online guide to capital projects PLAN IT | BUILD IT, The Dalton Company discusses the planning and decision-making needed to deliver projects on budget and in time.
In this presentation we share information on how to map / integrated the PMBOK Guide Process Groups with a Project Life Cycle. The project life cycle can be a generic model or per the SUKAD CAM2P™ Model (The Customizable and Adaptable Methodology for Managing Projects™).
We share this topic because it is a common area of confusion among PMPs and those studying the PMBOK Guide.
Project Management Training in Indonesia - Module 05 Project Closing ProcessAlin Veronika
A brief description about Applied Project Management Course.
In this course, you will be introduced to the core knowledge required around project management skills and key initiatives for quality, human resource, communications, risk management, and procurement management.
Aligned with the Project Management Institute’s A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) latest edition, this course will build new competencies and skills to complete an extensive, realistic, project case study. This course is designed to master the core principles of project management and gain the hands-on confidence to practice new skills in your organizations.
You will propose, plan and execute a full-scale project under typical organizational constraints. You will work together in teams with other participants and each team member will take a turn as project manager, defining objectives and performing tasks and producing deliverables critical to the project success. Follow your project through the life cycle, resolving issues of performance, scheduling and control as you address questions of leadership and management.
At the conclusion of the course, you will provide a closing presentation to the project sponsor that includes a thorough review of the results, lessons learned, and recommendations for improvements.

Projects and project management processes vary from industry to industry; however, these are more traditional elements of a project. The overarching goal is typically to offer a product, change a process or to solve a problem in order to benefit the organization.
4-0 PROJECT EXECUTION AND CONTROL - The purpose of Project Execution and Control is to develop the product or service that the project was commissioned to deliver. Typically, this is the longest part of the project management lifecycle, where most resources are applied.
The conclusion of Project Execution and Control arrives when the product of the project is fully constructed, commissioned, accepted, and transitioned to the Client.
Accurate records need to be kept throughout Project Execution and Control. They serve as input to the final step, Project Closeout.

The case study discusses the potential of drone delivery and the challenges that need to be addressed before it becomes widespread.
Key takeaways:
Drone delivery is in its early stages: Amazon's trial in the UK demonstrates the potential for faster deliveries, but it's still limited by regulations and technology.
Regulations are a major hurdle: Safety concerns around drone collisions with airplanes and people have led to restrictions on flight height and location.
Other challenges exist: Who will use drone delivery the most? Is it cost-effective compared to traditional delivery trucks?
Discussion questions:
Managerial challenges: Integrating drones requires planning for new infrastructure, training staff, and navigating regulations. There are also marketing and recruitment considerations specific to this technology.
External forces vary by country: Regulations, consumer acceptance, and infrastructure all differ between countries.
Demographics matter: Younger generations might be more receptive to drone delivery, while older populations might have concerns.
Stakeholders for Amazon: Customers, regulators, aviation authorities, and competitors are all stakeholders. Regulators likely hold the greatest influence as they determine the feasibility of drone delivery.
Specific ServPoints should be tailored for restaurants in all food service segments. Your ServPoints should be the centerpiece of brand delivery training (guest service) and align with your brand position and marketing initiatives, especially in high-labor-cost conditions.

2. WHAT IS A PROJECT?
The Project Management Institute provides the following
definition of a project
– A PROJECT is a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a
unique product, service, or result
or
– A Project is a job that has a beginning and an end (time), a
specified outcome ( scope) at a stated level of quality
(performance), and a budget (cost).
3. Introduction to Project
Like most organizational effort, the major goal of a project
is to satisfy a customer’s need. Beyond this fundamental
similarity, the characteristics of a project help differentiate
it from other endeavors of the organization.
Major characteristics of a project are
as follows:
1. An established objective.
2. A defined life span with a beginning and an end.
3. Usually, the involvement of several departments and
professionals.
4. Typically, doing something that has never been done
before.
5. Specific time, cost, and performance requirements.
4. The Project Life Cycle
Many project managers find it useful to use the PROJECT LIFE
CYCLE as the cornerstone for managing projects. The life cycle
recognizes that projects have a limited life span and that there are
predictable changes in level of effort and focus over the life of the
project.
There are a number of different life-cycle
models in project management literature.
For instance:-
A new software development project may consist of five
phases: Definition, Design, Code, Integration/Test, &
Maintenance.
The project life cycle typically passes sequentially through
four stages: Defining, Planning, Executing, & Delivering or
Closing.
5. The Project Life Cycle (Cont..)
Defining stage:
In Definition Stage all the Specifications of the project
are defined; project objectives are established; teams are
formed; major responsibilities are assigned.
Planning stage:
The level of effort increases, and plans are developed to
determine what the project will entail, when it will be
scheduled, whom it will benefit, what quality level should
be maintained, and what the budget will be.
6. The Project Life Cycle (Cont..)
Executing stage:
A major portion of the project work takes place—both
physical and mental. The physical product is produced (a
bridge, a report, a software program). Time, cost, and
specification measures are used for control. Is the project
on schedule, on budget, and meeting specifications?
Closing stage:
Closing includes three activities: delivering the project
product to the customer, redeploying project resources,
and post-project review. Delivery of the project might
include customer training and transferring documents.
Redeployment usually involves releasing project
equipment/materials to other projects and finding new
assignments for team members. Post-project reviews
include not only assessing performance but also
capturing lessons learned.
8. Project Management (PM)
Project management is a displine of
organizing and managing resources in
such a way that a project is completed
within a defined scope, quality, time
and cost constraints.
