1. The document investigates the link between learning objects and learning styles by administering a learning styles questionnaire to students and analyzing their usage of the MOODLE learning management system. 2. The results found that students tended to be more active, practical, visual, and sequential learners and that all learning styles adapted well to MOODLE, especially the active and visual learners. 3. In the forum section, visual learners posted more but practical learners visited more, while sequential learners did not seem to adapt as well.

The presenters will discuss techniques for successfully supporting faculty in the virtual classroom including certification training, the use of open labs, workshop formats, and virtual meeting/training tools.

The use of technology-enhanced learning (TEL) tools can bring great potential to enhance both students’ and instructors’ experiential learning, but only if they are appropriately adopted (Baneres et. al., 2015). With the challenges of online teaching, it is crucial for instructors to customise their lessons to holistically cover the learning outcomes while ensuring a deeper level of engagement among diverse learners. In this workshop, participants will be exploring some significant stages of selecting appropriate TEL tools in their lessons.

Listen to enough Baroque music, and you'll ultimately decide, "This is ridiculous. I never want to hear another harpsichord!"
Something similar happens in Web design. With new technology comes a natural desire to experiment, challenging fundamental design rules to push the limits of web applications. As designers explore just how far they can go, there inevitably comes a breaking point, where you think, "This is ridiculous. I never want to see another rounded corner!"
In both cases, the lesson learned is that just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
Web application interaction design brings a wealth of creative freedom and makes it increasingly important to identify the functional rationale for UI choices rather than gut reactions like "this is the way users are accustomed to it" or "this just looks better." Elaine discusses how to approach web application design when, instead of one dominant voice, there's a multitude of web product and design philosophies.

Enhancing Our Pedagogy Cit Conference
