Abstract Students in distance education at the KATHO (University college in Flanders, Belgium, www.katho.be) only need to come to the campus for assessment. Since September 2008, the center of excellence in e-learning, MAD (Mad About Distance) of KATHO organized a small project with 5 students located in five different countries all over the world. One student nearby the desert in Dubai inspired us to call this research “the Camel project”. The people involved in the project explored new methodologies and new technical tools to enable teachers to assess those students online. The project is still running and inspiring teachers of the KATHO to develop particular settings about online assessment, but also about online coaching. This paper is meant to share some of our experiences and conclusions concerning the online assessment and evaluation.

In order to improve the quality of the traning process of their employes the Patronato EPASA CNA started a experimentation of a new model of traning. The needs of the patronato were to:
* To develop a training system for a large number of learners, geographically distributed throughout the country, which is economically sustainable
* To develop a training system that meets the needs of learners with different levels of skills and knowledge.
* To develop a training system that enables the assessment of the effectiveness of the training and monitoring the level of learning for each individual operator.

Instructional Design Strategies to Enhance eLearning for Corporate TrainingSwift Elearning Services
Be it any game, you need a right game plan or a strategy to succeed. And the same applies to eLearning design for corporate training. “eLearning when designed correctly with sound instructional design strategy has the potential to bring organizational excellence with a positive eLearning ROI. ” An instructional strategy is an action plan or a method to help people learn. It defines the approach to achieve learning objectives using various learning devices, techniques, resources, and various learning theories.
This presentation will discuss using online tutoring in conjunction with face-to-face tutoring as two halves of a complete tutoring experience. We will look at the PCCC Writing Center’s combination of the use of eTutoring with face-to-face tutoring to help students improve not only individual papers, but also their writing in general.

The traditional model of hybrid learning involves alternating class meetings between face-to-face and online modes. A second emerging model of hybrid learning includes both face-to-face and online students as equal partners in the same class sessions, also known as SynchroModal Learning. This presentation will describe and illustrate a range of strategies for SynchroModal learning, including examples from the Educational Psychology and Educational Technology (EPET) Hybrid Ph.D. program in the College of Education. A particular focus will be on the use of personal portals in which each remote participant has his or her own local presence using tools such as the iPad.

What are Hyflex classes? The evolution of higher educationNain Tara
The concept of Hyflex classes gained popularity as pandemic lockdowns began to ease. More people wanted to go out in public, others thought it was too early. Like many organizations, the schools have had to figure out how to provide a balanced solution.
Although it was not created during the pandemic, many institutions have adopted the hyperflex model in recent years. The question now is whether this working method will continue once we leave COVID-19 behind us.
You may be wondering if Hyflex classes are your future as an instructor or professor. Or maybe you're already using this method and want to know if it's permanent. We break down everything you need to know about them and how they can change the landscape of higher education.
This presentation is one to be used with the introduction of an innovation plan focused on creating a blended learning environment in my elementary school.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

5. BLENDED LEARNING
Blended learning refers to the following:
○ Some learning happens online in a format where the
student has control over the path and pace at which
they engage with content.
○ Some learning happens in an instructor-led classroom
○ online and in-person learning is complementary,
creating a truly integrated learning environment.
6. HYBRID CLASSROOM
Hybrid learning allows for students to spend some time in the
classroom and some time learning from home ( or another
location outside the classroom)
Some models have students sorted into cohorts, where only one
group is on campus at a time.
When students are not on campus, they sign in to their classes
remotely. Most students use a video conference software or
some other way to be virtually ‘present’ in the classroom.
