services, access to new technology,
instruction in library usage and access to

MDC libraries houses state of the art
computers and tutors who provide face to face
instruction in:
 Mathematics
 Accounting
 Reading and Writing
 ESOL
 Test preparation and more.
At Miami Dade College libraries
 Students and staff can reserve, and check out
books, and media.
 Students, and staff can conduct research
 Students have access to E-books.
 Students can find videos
 Students can study in groups as well as
individually.

 Requesting and scheduling video and
photography services
 Reserving videoconferencing services such as
Skype.
 Enhancing your special events and activities
with audio amplification systems and video
projection
The Computer Courtyard
The Computer Courtyard offers a variety of
technological resources, in an environment that
offers to students, faculty, and staff
 Internet access
 Multimedia facilities including scanners, printers,
and a variety of software programs.
 Study tables are also available inside the Courtyard
and provide a less formal environment for group study
 The opportunity to benefit from learning resources
physically or virtually.
The Learning Resource Instructor
Role of the learning resource instructor
 He or she serves as a resource to classroom teachers
working to meet the academic, social/emotional, and
behavioral needs of our 21st century learners.
 The Learning Resource instructor acts to support the
Classroom professors in their efforts to create
environments that are flexible, reflective and
responsive to student needs.
