The library is an essential resource for
students to enhance their learning
experience. It is a place where students can

The library also provides access to online

and research databases. In addition to these
resources, the library offers a quiet and
comfortable space for students to study and
work on assignments.
The Nineveh Academy maintains a library
that provides materials and services to meet
the instructional, research and extension
needs of the various constituents of the
institution. The library serves the students,
faculty, researchers, administrators and
employees both in their reading activities
and research ventures.
The college library also offers its services to
outside-college researchers such as teachers and
students from other schools, alumni, government
officials/workers and those from other institutions
subject to the rules and regulations of the school
library.
An open-shelf system is used for greater access to
the collection. The books and other information
resources are classified according to the Dewey
System of Classification.
The School Library exists to support the
philosophy, vision and mission of NINEVEH
ACADEMY through providing excellent library
services on behalf of instruction, research,
extension, production and other scholarly
activity. To this end, the Library works closely
with the faculty, staff and students of the
school to achieve its goal and objectives.
Provide the best possible access to relevant
information within a suitable environment. In
pursuit of this goal, development efforts revolve
on two major thrusts:
1) development of the library collection focusing
on subject areas which support new academic
programs and new areas of research, and
2) computerization of library services for faster
access to the library’s information resources.

Library Etiquette
• Do respect the library staff and obey their
instructions
• Don’t be noisy. Playing any audio equipment or
device that can be heard by others is prohibited. The
use of mobile phones is not permitted in the Library.
• RESPECT Quite Zones.
• Foods and drinks are not allowed inside the library
to keep it clean and pest-free.
• Books should not be vandalized.
• Reference books are not to be taken from the
Library.
• The full cost of library material must be paid if
books/material is lost or damaged beyond repair.
Library Etiquette
• You are responsible for all materials borrowed in your name.
Only the person whose name appears on Library/Student ID is
allowed to borrow books/materials from the Library.
• Library users must not remove any material from the library at
any time unless borrowed or properly issued to them.
• Unruly behaviour will not be tolerated. Users will be asked to
leave the library premises on the second warning.
• Show consideration for fellow library users and staff by
demonstrating kindness and courtesy at all times. Respectful
behavior contributes to a positive library experience for
everyone.
• The Librarian shall reserve the right to withdraw or refuse Library
services to any students who disregards the above-listed rules
and regulations.
A valid school ID is needed to borrow books
Each student is allowed to borrow up to 2
books at a time.
Books can be borrowed for a period of 2
weeks and renewed once.
Students are responsible for returning
the books on or before the due date.
Register in the library users’ logbook and fill
up the required information.
