Lbp Case Studies
Brief Introduction: My patient had experienced a chronic history of lumbar spine pathology that
required multiple surgeries. Consequently, he has suffered varying levels of persistent LBP with
radicular symptoms, activity restrictions, and participation limitations. The myriad of procedural
interventions this patient had received for 13 wks, unfortunately did not make a significant
improvement with his pain and overall physical abilities. So... In a 69 y.o. M with lumbar spinal
stenosis, will low–level laser therapy or dry needling be more effective in alleviating chronic LBP?
Short Definitions: Efficacy– the capacity for beneficial change (or therapeutic effect) of a given

Human Identification
Introduction:
Human identification is one of the most challenging subjects that forensic experts have came across.
Identity is a set of physical characteristics, or a functional or psychic, normal or pathological, that
define an individual.1 Scientific identification of human remains might be accomplished by
fingerprint, dental, anthropological, genetic or radiological examinations.2,3 When it is not possible
to apply the scientific method of fingerprint identification, it demands a forensic medicine
investigation like radiological investigations. The skill process, carried out by using knowledge of
other professional areas, characterizes the medicolegal identification and is based on the application
of knowledge of forensic anthropology.1 Radiological ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Impacts of Anthropogenic Greenhouse and Trace Gas Emissions on the Ocean
By: Lexie Herdt, Meredith Fish, and Samantha Ballard
Meteo 470: Video Research Project
12/15/14
Introduction:
Anthropogenic emissions of CO2 and other trace gases affect the atmosphere, ocean, biosphere and
cryosphere (IPCC, 2014). These components of the climate system stimulate interactions between
each other ranging from synoptic to microscale processes and including everything in between.
Since the industrial revolution, human–produced emissions have been changing the world around us
(IPCC, 2014). The phenomenon of having greenhouse gases and aerosols in the atmosphere is
natural and necessary to support life on Earth. However, the buildup of greenhouse gases ... Show

This research is intended to further the understanding of how the Earth's climate will be affected
with rising anthropogenic emissions.
Each of the world's countries contributes different amounts of both gas and particle emissions to the
atmosphere influencing changes in weather and climate on a daily basis. The main anthropogenic
emissions in the climate system are Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4), Nitrous Oxide (N2O)
and Aerosols, each consisting of a different atmospheric lifetime. Since the United States endorses
open access to scientific data, tools and resources to conduct research, it is more beneficial to
analyze the anthropogenic emission sources of the United States over other industrialized countries
whose data is not so freely available to the public (Auer et al., 2007). The United States is the
second highest emitter or polluter in the world. The burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, and
transportation produces most of the United States' emissions. Due to the country's dependence on
fossil fuels, the United States' emission footprint is expanding. With a growing population and an
expanding economy, the United States is urbanizing at an expansive rate. The increase in population
as well as the modernization of our world is causing Americans to increase their energy
consumption through increased transportation and the development of new cities. All in

Disadvantages Of Emulsifiers
2.2 EMULSIFIERS The term emulsifiers alludes to any ingredient that keeps disimilar to substances
(such as oil and water) from isolating. Many cosmetic products depends on emulsions – small
droplets of oil dispersed in water or small droplets of water dispersed in oil. Since oil and water
don't mix no matter how much you shake, mix, emulsifiers are added to change the surface tension
between the water and the oil, producing a homogeneous and well–mixed product with an even
texture. Examples of emulsifiers used in cosmetics include polysorbates, and laureth–4.(Professor
Ben Selinger,2016)
2.2.1 POLYSORBATE Polysorbates 20 and 80 (Tween 20 and Tween 80) are utilized as a part of
formulation of biotherapeutic products for both preventing surface adsorption and as stabilizers
against protein aggregation. The polysorbates are amphipathic, nonionic surfactants made out of
fatty acid esters of polyoxyethylene sorbitan being polyoxyethylene sorbitan monolaurate for
polysorbate 20 and polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate for polysorbate 80. The polysorbates used

recreation center on April 6th; the event begins at 8 am and will last until 2 am the following day.
Disney is the theme for this year's event. Relay for Life is a campaign across the world to help raise
money to fight against cancer and raise awareness. The goal during this event is to have a team
member walking or running around a specific area for 24 hours. This symbolizes how cancer
patients do not get a rest from their battle. Clarion students are able to create teams or participate as

Symptoms And Symptoms Of Acute Kidney Infection
During the second set of final clinical practice, I provided nursing care to the client with query
sepsis and clostridium difficile as admitting diagnosis. The client had a history (Hx) of acute kidney
infection (AKI) which led to dialysis. After resolving AKI, the patient went home, but soon returned
to the hospital with severe diarrhea (5–6 episodes per day), confusion and symptoms of sepsis. Upon
initial assessment, I found the patient oriented to name only, confused and lethargic, incontinent of
urine and stool. The patient had bilateral crackles throughout the lung fields, gurgles upon exertion
and tachypnea with respiratory rate 24–28. SpO2 level was within normal limits. The patient's
family reported that the current patient's cognitive condition function was different from the
baseline. The patient was difficult to arouse, with Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score 12–13. The
heart rate was within normal limits, strong, irregular. Bilateral edema 2+ was present in lower legs,
skin was warm to touch, pedal pulses palpable. The patient was on caloric count due to poor caloric
intake. The family was frustrated because of recurrent hospitalization due to hospital–acquired
infection and very concerned about possibility of poor outcome for the patient due to rapidly
deteriorating general condition. My primary concern was the possible aspiration as evidenced by
gurgles upon exertion. I elevated the head of bed and made sure that suctioning equipment was in

The Day Of My Father Essay
I was born in Leon, in the Mexican state of Guanajuato, Mexico, on August 15, 1999, at Saint Luis
General Hospital. The day of my birth, my father decided to name me Fabian. While growing up in
Wisconsin, some people found it difficult to pronounce my name correctly, so my friends shorten it
to Fab. My parents moved to Racine in 1999 because a lot of our relatives had already moved to
Racine.
My father was born in Leon, Guanajuato. He never enjoyed school. He found school to be boring.
So he spent most of his time playing goalkeeper for his team. At the age of 15, my father was in his
last year of school, this was when he met my mother. My mother enjoyed school because she loved
to learn new things and she was in the top of her class. An unlikely pair formed when my mother
was appointed to tutor my father. After a while, they started to go out and within three years of
dating, they got married and my mother gave birth to my eldest brother. This meant my father had to
get serious about work since he had a child to raise. I have a great deal of respect for my parents for
taking jobs to raise me and my siblings, and I am thankful for their hard work. Their hard work
pushed me to become the best I could be. They sacrificed their stead life in Mexico for a high–risk
life that gave me the opportunity to have a better life.
My eldest brother, Oscar, is now 25 years old, and his favorite thing to do is to play soccer and to
work out. He is currently a Marine officer. My second

Self Concept Essay
Self Concept Essay
There is a lot of things that I have learned about myself in the past few weeks of this course. I have
learned many things about myself that I would have never known if it was not for this course. I have
learned about my; self concept, attitudes and feelings. I have also learned about social influence,
group dynamics and relationships. I learned about myself and how to describe the way that I am and
the way that I think.
I have learned that I am a creative and compassionate. I am a creative person because I enjoy
activities that allow m to put things together. I like to let my imagination run and make things look

I seldom ask for help, and I don't go out of my way to talk to people. From what I have learned in
this course, I think that to some people this might make me look like a jerk. Or that I think I'm better
than them. When In reality I'm just a little bit of a socially awkward person. It's not that I don't like
other people, I just really enjoy spending time with myself. I know a lot of people, but I only have
two or three that I consider my friends. I value the quality of my relationships more than the
quantity. I would rather go out and do something with one or two friends, rather than a large group. I
enjoy having the close relationships with my few friends, I have no desire to fill my life with a ton
of superficial friendships that come and go.
I take a lot of pride in the work that I do. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, it could be playing video
games, riding my bike, or at work. When I succeed at something I give myself a lot of credit. To
some people this may seem like I'm conceded, or that I like to show off. The reality of it is that
rewarding myself for doing something good motivates me to continue to do good things. It's a way
for me to motivate myself. The way I credit myself is not in the fashion of gloating, or showing off
my success, but the opposite. I play off my successes like they're no big deal. To some people I may
seem conceded when I accomplish something. For example, when I was in the Army, I was selected
for airborne school. Airborne school

question is: will current ministry policies on planning cities suffice to keep the current standards of

In figure 1 (Bartley), shown above, ninety–eight percent of test subjects agree that Shape A is Kiki
while Shape B is Bouba. From studies of sound symbolism, one can infer that before knowing
anything about a person or subject, most people already have predetermined feelings about the
person or subject. Due to sound symbolism, among other factors, a person's name could potentially
affect his or her personality. This is because outside perceptions of one can influence one's self–
perception (Deluzain). In his book about psychology, Alter mentions "every name is associated with
demographic baggage" (Drunk Tank Pink 9). Different names can indicate a person's age or
ethnicity; coupled with the idea that children tend to follow expectations set for them (Bryner), this
provides a reason why names can affect a person's personality. When children are met repetitively
by a certain expectation, they start to believe what is said about them, that others' perception of them
is correct, and follow this expectation. Adults too, when in the outside world and met with different
biases due to their names, may act the ways others believe them to act, and not how they might
naturally act. Names also have different connotations, influencing a person to act a certain way. For
example, children with names that are closer to the opposite gender version of the name are
influenced to act differently

Ian Wark: Australia's Most Influential Scientists

Assassination Attemps on Adolf Hitler
Researchers have proven that Adolf Hitler, leader of the Nazis, killed more than 6 million Jews in
his lifetime. The resistance knew that they couldn't let him continue this behavior and needed to take
action. There were an estimated 42 attempts on assassinating Hitler but a man by the name of Claus
Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg came up the closest. Cornel Claus was a highly respected man due to
him being in the General Army Office as chief of staff, and because he led an assassination attempt
on Hitler, killing four Nazi officers. Claus was a very brave man for not only trying to eliminate
Hitler but also for his war actions. Stauffenberg was born and raised in Upper Franconia, Germany
November 15, 1907 ("Claus" Almanac). He grew up into a noble catholic family in Southern
Germany. Claus went to high school looking to be an architect but eventually pursued the military
due to family history. He made a good decision by going into the military because of his future
actions. Claus was deployed as an officer in a cavalry regiment in 1930. He eventually fought in
Poland and France from 1939–1940 (Leaders). Soon afterward, he was assigned to the army General
Staff and for one month fought in North Africa at night against the Germans. During the war in
North Africa Claus was attacked while in an airplane and lost his right hand, two fingers of his left
hand, and his left eye. He must have had to change his daily routines due to the loss. After a month

Welcome inside Mr. I. Pasmatzis Paul V Grech Cohort 19, Romania April 2012 IKEA Executive
Summary Accounting is divided into two distinct systems, financial accounting and management
accounting. Both systems have been used to evaluate the accounting situation in IKEA. For
comparison, the analysis for another two companies, Walmart and Stanley Furniture Company Inc.

All information is conveyed in monetary terms. Management accounting is generally a detailed
account of a specific view of the company using both monetary and non–monetary sources. It does
not follow prescribed guidelines and utilises past information but is also forward–looking. Such
reports are generated as needed. IKEA – Welcome inside Financial Reporting & Management
Accounting. (EMBA 105) Page 1 of 30 2.1 Financial Accounting Accounts are a record of the
money held by a company, where it is coming from and what it is being spent on. The financial
statement generated in financial accounting provides information that is more relevant to external
decision makers such as investors, creditors, suppliers and customers. Financial statements are
generally prepared quarterly (quarterly reports) and at the end of the year (annual report). 2.2
Management Accounting Management accounting uses financial information in a certain way that
can help management with planning, decision making and control. In contrast to financial planning,
managerial accounting provides helpful information to company managers so that they can control
and plan company business activities. Cost accounting deals with pricing and stock valuation, while
decision making deals with both the short and long–term decisions of the business (Jones, 2006). 3

The Fog Horn Ray Bradbury Summary
The story "The Fog Horn" by Ray Bradbury is about a monster that attacks two men working in an
isolated lighthouse. The lighthouse has a "fog horn" which Johnny, who is the narrator, and his boss
McDunn. One night the two were discussing how the fog horn sounds like "a big lonely animal
crying in the night". Later a dinosaur like monster comes out from the sea and starts communicating
with the fog horn. The men discuss about how it is the last one in existence and how lonely it is.
They then decide to experiment with the monster and turn off the horn. The monster becomes
enraged when the sound is turned off and attacks the lighthouse. The men hide in a cellar while the
monster destroys the lighthouse. As thy hide in the cellar they can hear the monsters cry, which
sounds identical to the fog horn. The monster then disappeared after its cry. They were rescued the
next day and told their rescuers that the cause was waves. No one ever found out about the monster,
and it never returned. This story is shows us that loneliness can cause anger.
In this story we see what being lonely can do. The story says, "Think of it, waiting a million years;
could you wait that long? Maybe it's the last of its kind" (Bradbury 3). I agree with this story's
meaning. I agree that if someone or something is lonely that can cause anger. We as readers could
tell that the two men were very insensitive towards the sea monster. The story says, "The Fog Horn
blew. The monster answered" (Bradbury 4). When

In this Internet age, the consumer is using music content more than ever before– whether that's
playlisting, podcasting, personalizing, sharing, downloading or just simply enjoying it. The digital
revolution has caused a complete change to the culture, operations, and attitude of music companies
everywhere. It hasn't been easy, and we must certainly continue to fight piracy in all its forms. But
there can be no doubt that with even greater commitment to innovation and a true focus on the

Recorded music and music publishing were the two main revenue drivers for the music industry.
EMI divided its organization into two corresponding divisions. EMI Music, the recorded–music
side, sought out artists it believed would be long–term commercial recording successes. Each EMI
record label marketed its artist's recordings to the public and sold the releases through a variety of
retail outlets. EMI's extensive music catalog consisted of more than
3 million songs. Recorded–music division sales came from both new and old recordings with
existing catalog albums constituting 30% to 35% of the division's unit sales. Exhibit 3 contains a list
of EMI's most successful recording artists in FY2007.
EMI Music Publishing focused not on recordings but on the songs themselves. Generally, there were
three categories of publishing–rights ownership in the music industry: the lyric's author, the music's
composer, and the publisher who acquired the right to exploit the song. These publishing–rights
owners were entitled to royalties whenever and however their music was used.
Music publishers categorized their revenue streams as mechanical royalties (sales of recorded

Essay on Valkyrie – A Film Review
"A fanatically hysteric romantic with a brutal will," this is how Karl Alexander von Muller,
described the personality of Adolf Hitler. Throughout Hitler's reign, people close to him had the
same outlook towards him, like von Muller, and many officers and generals plotted to kill the
dictator. The plot that came closest to succeeding was "Project Valkyrie," which was the subject of
the 2010 film "Valkyrie". The film incorporated many aspects that are historically accurate, despite a
number of minor historical flaws. However, there are some instances where poor concepts are
shown in the film as well. The historical accuracy of the film can be demonstrated by showing its
plot, setting and characters. A significant strength Valkyrie has in ... Show more content on

Both in the movie and in history, the conspirators planned to use this document after killing Hitler to
manipulate the Reserve Army into removing the power of the SS, Gestapo, and SD on the basis that
these three groups were attempting to seize power. (http://www.valkyrie–plot.com/1942.html) In
addition, the elements that ultimately lead to an unsuccessful assassination attempt of Hitler are
mostly all followed exceptionally. For example, the director expertly conveyed the hesitation and
lack of cohesion between people involved in the plan to kill Hitler. The hesitation of General
Olbricht and change of heart by General Fromm severely crippled Project Valkyrie. On one hand,
Olbricht was very stubborn and reluctant to put the plan into effect because he did not have absolute
confirmation that Hitler was killed by the blast at the Wolf's Lair. On the other hand, Fromm
vehemently rejects their plan when it is put into effect and forced Colonel Claus Von Stauffenberg to
arrest him in order to advance in Project Valkyrie. These two events resulted in a major setback both
in the film and during the past event in history. However, he did have minor plot omissions about
how the plan to kill Hitler went wrong as well. Mainly the events that resulted in Hitler switching
meeting places slightly diverted from the path of history. In history, the meeting place was switched

An Analysis on Loneliness Let me tell you this: If you meet a loner, no matter what they tell you, it's
not because they enjoy solitude. It's because they have tried to blend into the world before and
people continue to disappointment them (Picoult). Poignant quote that is a perfect introduction to an
discussion on the loneliness and
Disappointment in life. Loneliness and disappointment are universal struggles suffered by mankind
since the beginning of time. Loneliness and disappointment are so common that every person will
feel their impact at some point in life. As common as they are to the human experience, each
person's experience with loneliness and disappointment is uniquely individual.
For some people, these feelings are brief. For others loneliness and disappointment follow them
Like a shadow, haunting them to the very depths of their soul. Because each of these feelings effect
so many people in such a profound fashion they are often found as recurrent themes throughout
literature and a favorite subject for many authors. One such writer is science fiction author, Ray
Bradbury. Bradbury and his short story, "The Fog Horn," is an example of the
Ramification of loneliness and disappointment, and how people, or in this case people and creatures
respond to them. In "The Fog Horn," Bradbury uses the symbol of the lighthouse and its foghorn to

A bridge is considered radical treatment as adjacent tooth structure must be drastically reduced in
this process. The bridge has been regarded as the standard of care for some time in the replacement
of single and multiple missing teeth. However, in order to obtain optimal functional and aesthetic
results for full–veneer bridges, a significant reduction in the amount of tooth structure is necessary,
occasionally predisposing to endodontic, periodontal, and structural complications. The abutment
teeth often become carious and thus have an increased rate of those individuals needing a root canal
procedure. If one of the abutment teeth are lost a longer span bridge would be required. The implant
procedure is more conservative and has a better prognosis. Implants have a high rate of success, do
not require procedures on adjacent teeth and are not susceptible to caries. Therefore, the carrier's
decision in denying coverage for dental implants (including implant supported crowns) for
congenitally missing teeth #7 and #10 was not appropriate. The request for dental implants
(including implant supported crowns) for congenitally missing teeth #7 and #10 are medically

Personal Narrative: Moving Out Of Boat Fishing
I start to move out of bed and towards the door of my room. I know what I'm going to be doing
today, I will be spending all my time with my family on our boat fishing. From around 6 in the
morning till 7 at night. It should be fun to hang out for a whole day in the hot sun with the family.
Ah, who am I kidding this is going to be awful. I don't even like fishing. Especially when I'm on a
boat where I'm not allowed to get up much less move around freely without being told to sit down or
to stop scaring off the fish! I would prefer to spend this 95–degree day enjoy some sweet cool air

almost skipping and the air is clearing across the lake. Maybe the fog won't turn into a muggy haze.

Since the global financial downturn in late 2008, retailing has since delivered negative growth.
Employment within the sector, the 'second largest single employer within Australia', also fell by 6%
in 2009. Fashion retailers are continually at the mercy of consumer spending especially during
economic downturns. In fact, the fashion industry in 2009 delivered a negative sales turnover of –
1.9%. Not surprisingly, department store sales also plummeted to –3.5%.
Generally speaking, with the current climate lacking economic stimulus coupled with higher interest
rates and media reports generating signs of an economic recovery, analysts are predicting that
eventually the retail trade sector will gradually resurface into positive territory. Customers will be
more pragmatic and cautious about the future which will yield new patterns of behavior and
relationships.
Corporate strategy

Classification Diagram Classification Of Groundwater Samples
The USSL diagram classification of groundwater samples has been shown in figure 8. The samples
are classified as C2–S1, C3–S1, and C4–S1 categories. 23 samples (47 percent) were placed in C2–
S1 class. The C2–S1 class points to medium saline water and low sodium amount which poses no
hazard of sodium exchange for agricultural usage in every type of soils. 45 percent of groundwater
samples (22 samples) were in the C3–S1 class, meaning that water is highly saline, sodium is low
and there is little hazard of sodium exchange. The remaining 4 samples (8 percent) were classified in
the C4–S1 class.
Fig 9, shows the spatial USSL Classification diagram of groundwater samples in Sarab plain. The
C2–S1 was found in the east part of the study area. In this part of the study area, the aquifer is
recharged from streams. Therefore, groundwater quality there has good quality. In the middle part of
study area, the groundwater quality is deteriorated due to dissolution of gypsum and salts minerals
in Miocene formations, cation exchange and urban wastewater. The C4–S1 was found in the west
and north part of the study area and salinity and SAR has increased in the west part of study area
due to Talkheh Rud river saline water (Asadollahfardi et al., 2011).
Due to insufficiency of absolute concentration of anions and cations for water quality determination
in agricultural usages, SAR, PI, KR, MAR, RSC, SSP and EC indices were used as key parameters

Classroom Reflection
The teacher that I have selected for my interview, is one that I have previously used for an
assignment in this class. Mrs. Shore teaches freshman Biology, and is a coworker of mine at the
ninth grade academy in which I am employed. Mrs. Shore's classroom management style is one that
is very similar to what I had discussed in my reports over the length of this class. She uses a fun,
energetic environment, while at the same time clearly depicting expectations about student behavior.
She explained to me that she believes talking with students and gaining an understanding about what
type of environment works best for them, and then molding numerous styles together. When
discussing discipline issues, she notified me that her most difficult challenge is deciding when to
punish a student. Mrs. Shore explained that it is vital to be invested in students and know when
grace needs to be given, and when discipline actions need to be taken because students can be
adversely affected by their home lives and many other factors. She continued to explain that
multiple factors should be taken into account before deciding if a student truly deserves to be
punished. Another thing that I enjoy about Mrs. Shore is her classroom environment. When walking
into Mrs. Shores classroom students are not greeted with desk, but rather a variety of table styles
and around the tables students will find large rolling desk chairs. The setup of Mrs. Shores class is
what stood out to me the most. Her tables and chairs provide a sense of comfort while also allowing
students to learn in an environment different from the traditional school setting. Mrs. Shore
explained that she tries to provide a sense of safety and fun to her students.
Section B.
Mrs. Shore's main rules are similar to what you would consider general rules for most teachers.
During our interview she mentioned a variety of rules including that she harps heavily on time and
expects all students to be in their seat working before the bell. She said the reason for this is so the
class begins efficiently and she has time to for the entire lesson. Another rule of Mrs. Shore's is
simply mutual respect. She asks students to give their undivided attention to herself and other
students

  • 5. Impacts Of Anthropogenic Greenhouse And Trace Gases On The... The Impacts of Anthropogenic Greenhouse and Trace Gas Emissions on the Ocean By: Lexie Herdt, Meredith Fish, and Samantha Ballard Meteo 470: Video Research Project 12/15/14 Introduction: Anthropogenic emissions of CO2 and other trace gases affect the atmosphere, ocean, biosphere and cryosphere (IPCC, 2014). These components of the climate system stimulate interactions between each other ranging from synoptic to microscale processes and including everything in between. Since the industrial revolution, human–produced emissions have been changing the world around us (IPCC, 2014). The phenomenon of having greenhouse gases and aerosols in the atmosphere is natural and necessary to support life on Earth. However, the buildup of greenhouse gases ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This research is intended to further the understanding of how the Earth's climate will be affected with rising anthropogenic emissions. Each of the world's countries contributes different amounts of both gas and particle emissions to the atmosphere influencing changes in weather and climate on a daily basis. The main anthropogenic emissions in the climate system are Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4), Nitrous Oxide (N2O) and Aerosols, each consisting of a different atmospheric lifetime. Since the United States endorses open access to scientific data, tools and resources to conduct research, it is more beneficial to analyze the anthropogenic emission sources of the United States over other industrialized countries whose data is not so freely available to the public (Auer et al., 2007). The United States is the second highest emitter or polluter in the world. The burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, and transportation produces most of the United States' emissions. Due to the country's dependence on fossil fuels, the United States' emission footprint is expanding. With a growing population and an expanding economy, the United States is urbanizing at an expansive rate. The increase in population as well as the modernization of our world is causing Americans to increase their energy consumption through increased transportation and the development of new cities. • 7. Disadvantages Of Emulsifiers 2.2 EMULSIFIERS The term emulsifiers alludes to any ingredient that keeps disimilar to substances (such as oil and water) from isolating. Many cosmetic products depends on emulsions – small droplets of oil dispersed in water or small droplets of water dispersed in oil. Since oil and water don't mix no matter how much you shake, mix, emulsifiers are added to change the surface tension between the water and the oil, producing a homogeneous and well–mixed product with an even texture. Examples of emulsifiers used in cosmetics include polysorbates, and laureth–4.(Professor Ben Selinger,2016) 2.2.1 POLYSORBATE Polysorbates 20 and 80 (Tween 20 and Tween 80) are utilized as a part of formulation of biotherapeutic products for both preventing surface adsorption and as stabilizers against protein aggregation. The polysorbates are amphipathic, nonionic surfactants made out of fatty acid esters of polyoxyethylene sorbitan being polyoxyethylene sorbitan monolaurate for polysorbate 20 and polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate for polysorbate 80. • 11. Symptoms And Symptoms Of Acute Kidney Infection During the second set of final clinical practice, I provided nursing care to the client with query sepsis and clostridium difficile as admitting diagnosis. The client had a history (Hx) of acute kidney infection (AKI) which led to dialysis. After resolving AKI, the patient went home, but soon returned to the hospital with severe diarrhea (5–6 episodes per day), confusion and symptoms of sepsis. Upon initial assessment, I found the patient oriented to name only, confused and lethargic, incontinent of urine and stool. The patient had bilateral crackles throughout the lung fields, gurgles upon exertion and tachypnea with respiratory rate 24–28. SpO2 level was within normal limits. The patient's family reported that the current patient's cognitive condition function was different from the baseline. The patient was difficult to arouse, with Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score 12–13. The heart rate was within normal limits, strong, irregular. Bilateral edema 2+ was present in lower legs, skin was warm to touch, pedal pulses palpable. The patient was on caloric count due to poor caloric intake. The family was frustrated because of recurrent hospitalization due to hospital–acquired infection and very concerned about possibility of poor outcome for the patient due to rapidly deteriorating general condition. My primary concern was the possible aspiration as evidenced by gurgles upon exertion. I elevated the head of bed and made sure that suctioning equipment was in place and ... • 15. The Day Of My Father Essay I was born in Leon, in the Mexican state of Guanajuato, Mexico, on August 15, 1999, at Saint Luis General Hospital. The day of my birth, my father decided to name me Fabian. While growing up in Wisconsin, some people found it difficult to pronounce my name correctly, so my friends shorten it to Fab. My parents moved to Racine in 1999 because a lot of our relatives had already moved to Racine. My father was born in Leon, Guanajuato. He never enjoyed school. He found school to be boring. So he spent most of his time playing goalkeeper for his team. At the age of 15, my father was in his last year of school, this was when he met my mother. My mother enjoyed school because she loved to learn new things and she was in the top of her class. An unlikely pair formed when my mother was appointed to tutor my father. After a while, they started to go out and within three years of dating, they got married and my mother gave birth to my eldest brother. This meant my father had to get serious about work since he had a child to raise. I have a great deal of respect for my parents for taking jobs to raise me and my siblings, and I am thankful for their hard work. Their hard work pushed me to become the best I could be. They sacrificed their stead life in Mexico for a high–risk life that gave me the opportunity to have a better life. My eldest brother, Oscar, is now 25 years old, and his favorite thing to do is to play soccer and to work out. He is currently a Marine officer. My second ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In figure 1 (Bartley), shown above, ninety–eight percent of test subjects agree that Shape A is Kiki while Shape B is Bouba. From studies of sound symbolism, one can infer that before knowing anything about a person or subject, most people already have predetermined feelings about the person or subject. Due to sound symbolism, among other factors, a person's name could potentially affect his or her personality. This is because outside perceptions of one can influence one's self– perception (Deluzain). In his book about psychology, Alter mentions "every name is associated with demographic baggage" (Drunk Tank Pink 9). Different names can indicate a person's age or ethnicity; coupled with the idea that children tend to follow expectations set for them (Bryner), this provides a reason why names can affect a person's personality. When children are met repetitively by a certain expectation, they start to believe what is said about them, that others' perception of them is correct, and follow this expectation. Adults too, when in the outside world and met with different biases due to their names, may act the ways others believe them to act, and not how they might naturally act. Names also have different connotations, influencing a person to act a certain way. The resistance knew that they couldn't let him continue this behavior and needed to take action. The lighthouse has a "fog horn" which Johnny, who is the narrator, and his boss McDunn. One night the two were discussing how the fog horn sounds like "a big lonely animal crying in the night". Later a dinosaur like monster comes out from the sea and starts communicating with the fog horn. The men discuss about how it is the last one in existence and how lonely it is. They then decide to experiment with the monster and turn off the horn. The monster becomes enraged when the sound is turned off and attacks the lighthouse. The men hide in a cellar while the monster destroys the lighthouse. As thy hide in the cellar they can hear the monsters cry, which sounds identical to the fog horn. The monster then disappeared after its cry. They were rescued the next day and told their rescuers that the cause was waves. No one ever found out about the monster, and it never returned. This story is shows us that loneliness can cause anger. In this story we see what being lonely can do. The story says, "Think of it, waiting a million years; could you wait that long? Maybe it's the last of its kind" (Bradbury 3). I agree with this story's meaning. I agree that if someone or something is lonely that can cause anger. For example, the director expertly conveyed the hesitation and lack of cohesion between people involved in the plan to kill Hitler. The hesitation of General Olbricht and change of heart by General Fromm severely crippled Project Valkyrie. On one hand, Olbricht was very stubborn and reluctant to put the plan into effect because he did not have absolute confirmation that Hitler was killed by the blast at the Wolf's Lair. On the other hand, Fromm vehemently rejects their plan when it is put into effect and forced Colonel Claus Von Stauffenberg to arrest him in order to advance in Project Valkyrie. Poignant quote that is a perfect introduction to an discussion on the loneliness and Disappointment in life. Loneliness and disappointment are universal struggles suffered by mankind since the beginning of time. Loneliness and disappointment are so common that every person will feel their impact at some point in life. A bridge is considered radical treatment as adjacent tooth structure must be drastically reduced in this process. The bridge has been regarded as the standard of care for some time in the replacement of single and multiple missing teeth. However, in order to obtain optimal functional and aesthetic results for full–veneer bridges, a significant reduction in the amount of tooth structure is necessary, occasionally predisposing to endodontic, periodontal, and structural complications. The abutment teeth often become carious and thus have an increased rate of those individuals needing a root canal procedure. If one of the abutment teeth are lost a longer span bridge would be required. The implant procedure is more conservative and has a better prognosis. Implants have a high rate of success, do not require procedures on adjacent teeth and are not susceptible to caries. Therefore, the carrier's decision in denying coverage for dental implants (including implant supported crowns) for congenitally missing teeth #7 and #10 was not appropriate. The request for dental implants (including implant supported crowns) for congenitally missing teeth #7 and #10 are medically necessary for the treatment of this member's ... • 52. Personal Narrative: Moving Out Of Boat Fishing I start to move out of bed and towards the door of my room. I know what I'm going to be doing today, I will be spending all my time with my family on our boat fishing. From around 6 in the morning till 7 at night. It should be fun to hang out for a whole day in the hot sun with the family. Ah, who am I kidding this is going to be awful. I don't even like fishing. Especially when I'm on a boat where I'm not allowed to get up much less move around freely without being told to sit down or to stop scaring off the fish! I would prefer to spend this 95–degree day enjoy some sweet cool air conditioning. "Brittiany come on finish getting ready it's almost time to leave." Said my excited Mother. Why would they pick a day like this to go fishing? I can't let this stop me from winning. "Hey, Dad what kind of lures are you going to try out today?" I say with hopeful intent. He is always trying new spinners and lures on our assorted pole collect. He has hundreds of different ways he likes to combine them together. Maybe, this will make me seem interested and up the ante for me against mom's guilt card. With manly enthusiasm, he states, "I don't know maybe a red feather black and with spinner or a double blue......."He continues to talk in the background. I look around to find things are looking a little different Dessie isn't yelling and mom is smiling instead of doing the angry frowny thing she doses when Dessie or I yell. We get to the dock and start to set the boat for launching. Mom is almost skipping and the air is clearing across the lake. Maybe the fog won't turn into a muggy haze. I step onto the boat and prepare myself to fight with Dessie for the swivel ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Employment within the sector, the 'second largest single employer within Australia', also fell by 6% in 2009. Fashion retailers are continually at the mercy of consumer spending especially during economic downturns. In fact, the fashion industry in 2009 delivered a negative sales turnover of – 1.9%. Not surprisingly, department store sales also plummeted to –3.5%. Generally speaking, with the current climate lacking economic stimulus coupled with higher interest rates and media reports generating signs of an economic recovery, analysts are predicting that eventually the retail trade sector will gradually resurface into positive territory. Customers will be more pragmatic and cautious about the future which will yield new patterns of behavior and relationships. Shoes, sloshing, soaked the man walks into the pitch black house ever so hesitantly. Leaving wet footprints as he goes. "Who's there," she cried, "I know you're in my house, get out or you will never walk again!" Moments later the door opened and the lights turned back on. Hours go by and the back door slowly creaks open, "Honey you finally arrived. How was your day, are you hungry?" she said frantically. "Yes, but we have no time," came a booming voice one she had never heard before. "Come here we have to leave, this place has become unsafe Bella." Now she started freaking out. How does he know my name? When did his voice change so drastically? Questions kept coming, flooding her mind like an overflowing river sloshing against the banks. "Walk into the light, let me see your face," Bella demanded. "No, we have no time for that crap," he retorted. "Just come on or I'll tell them to kill your husband." Quietly the walkie talkie he had looped on his belt clicked and beeped slow soft words buzzed but none she could understand, the rain beating too hard on the house. "Let him go, what did he do to you?" She screamed. "Just come with me and we'll explain everything later" he stated reassuringly, "Now let's go." "I'll never go with you," she said getting angry. The samples are classified as C2–S1, C3–S1, and C4–S1 categories. 23 samples (47 percent) were placed in C2– S1 class. The C2–S1 class points to medium saline water and low sodium amount which poses no hazard of sodium exchange for agricultural usage in every type of soils. 45 percent of groundwater samples (22 samples) were in the C3–S1 class, meaning that water is highly saline, sodium is low and there is little hazard of sodium exchange. The remaining 4 samples (8 percent) were classified in the C4–S1 class. Fig 9, shows the spatial USSL Classification diagram of groundwater samples in Sarab plain. The C2–S1 was found in the east part of the study area. In this part of the study area, the aquifer is recharged from streams. Therefore, groundwater quality there has good quality. In the middle part of study area, the groundwater quality is deteriorated due to dissolution of gypsum and salts minerals in Miocene formations, cation exchange and urban wastewater. The C4–S1 was found in the west and north part of the study area and salinity and SAR has increased in the west part of study area due to Talkheh Rud river saline water (Asadollahfardi et al., 2011). Due to insufficiency of absolute concentration of anions and cations for water quality determination in agricultural usages, SAR, PI, KR, MAR, RSC, SSP and EC indices were used as key parameters in this domain. • 67. Classroom Reflection The teacher that I have selected for my interview, is one that I have previously used for an assignment in this class. Mrs. Shore teaches freshman Biology, and is a coworker of mine at the ninth grade academy in which I am employed. Mrs. Shore's classroom management style is one that is very similar to what I had discussed in my reports over the length of this class. She uses a fun, energetic environment, while at the same time clearly depicting expectations about student behavior. She explained to me that she believes talking with students and gaining an understanding about what type of environment works best for them, and then molding numerous styles together. When discussing discipline issues, she notified me that her most difficult challenge is deciding when to punish a student. Mrs. Shore explained that it is vital to be invested in students and know when grace needs to be given, and when discipline actions need to be taken because students can be adversely affected by their home lives and many other factors. She continued to explain that multiple factors should be taken into account before deciding if a student truly deserves to be punished. Another thing that I enjoy about Mrs. Shore is her classroom environment. When walking into Mrs. Shores classroom students are not greeted with desk, but rather a variety of table styles and around the tables students will find large rolling desk chairs. The setup of Mrs. Shores class is what stood out to me the most. Her tables and chairs provide a sense of comfort while also allowing students to learn in an environment different from the traditional school setting. Mrs. Shore explained that she tries to provide a sense of safety and fun to her students. Section B. Mrs. Shore's main rules are similar to what you would consider general rules for most teachers. During our interview she mentioned a variety of rules including that she harps heavily on time and expects all students to be in their seat working before the bell. She said the reason for this is so the class begins efficiently and she has time to for the entire lesson. Another rule of Mrs. Shore's is simply mutual respect. She asks students to give their undivided attention to herself and other students ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
