2. Actors.
In my music video I am only using one main
character which the plot of the video shall follow. I
feel this will create a more focused and dramatic
story and will make filming easier as less people
will have to be free on the same day.
I have chosen Georgia Stickley to be the
protagonist of my music video. Georgia Stickley is
a strong actor who I feel will help me create a
more serious tone to my video. She also has dark
hair and eyes, reflecting the atmosphere of the
video and helping to create a ‘grungy’ look for the
character.
3. Costume
For my music video Georgia shall be
dressed in dark and grungy clothing which
will reflect the dark atmosphere of the
video. This includes black jeans
(preferably old and worn), an old t-
shirt/shirt and a big jacket. This will also
give an impression that they are used to
being out and about or on the streets
rather than in a professional occupation or
education. Georgia will also wear old
converse or boots which are appropriate
to the role.
4. Props
Important props for my music video include a large
amount of old fashioned sweets (such as sherbet
lemons or mint humbugs) which have a distinctive
unwrapping style. I will also need paper bags to put
theses sweets in - I have chosen brown paper bags
over plastic bags as they will suit the style of sweet
that contain and don't distract from the surreal
theme that the video is trying to create. I will also
use a full size model of a human skeleton, dressed
in a red jacket, top hat and clown trousers in order
to create an inhuman character suited for the
surreal atmosphere. I own all of these items already
which well help reduce the cost of my production. I
will also need large amounts of cardboard in order
to produce my sets, graves, flowers and coffins
however this should be cheap if not free to obtain.
