This document presents information about Latvia and its culture for students and teachers. It aims to promote multicultural competence and ethnic tolerance among students. Some of the topics that will be covered include the history of Latvia, demographics, politics, language statistics, cuisine, religion statistics, national holidays, clothing, famous Latvians, Jews after World War II, and ORT in Latvia. The presentation was prepared by Dmitry Zair-Bek and thanks are given to Latvian geographic forums, Wikipedia, and others for their help in creating it.
