Laticifers are elongated secretory cells in plants producing latex and rubber as secondary metabolites, classified into articulated and non-articulated types. Articulated laticifers consist of joined cells forming latex vessels, while non-articulated laticifers are individual cells that also secrete latex. Notable plant families containing these structures include Papaveraceae, Cactaceae, Musaceae, Aroideae, Urticaceae, Euphorbiaceae, and Moraceae.

 Which contain milky juice
 Complex composition called latex

 Living and possess lateral branches.
 On meeting fuse to form coenocytic strcture.

• Similar in shape to the vessels.
• Some elongated and branched individual
