This document describes a method called GLOW emotion briquettes that is used to improve mood and mental health through positive psychology practices. It involves 35 different practices organized into 13 weekly series focused on positive emotions. The method has been implemented in pilot programs in Finland and Japan with groups of elderly people, adults, young people and children. Participants engage in activities designed to help them identify positive emotions from their past, envision positive emotions for the future, and make plans to experience positive emotions daily. Evaluations of pilot programs found improvements in participants' self-reported mood levels before and after sessions.
