Land pollution is caused by human activities and the misuse of land resources, degrading the Earth's surfaces. The two major sources of solid waste are domestic and industrial. Land pollution has various negative effects such as disrupting nature, harming human health, destroying flora and fauna, and causing problems like acid rain. The Philippines has established several policies and regulations to address land pollution, such as prohibiting dumping in waterways, requiring environmental impact assessments, and mandating waste segregation and management.
