The character on this music advert in a magazine is a woman, Lana
Del Rey, the image of her is a medium shot of her upper body and
she is looking straight at the camera, this establishes who the artist
is at first glance. She is wearing quite a lot of make up with red
lipstick and the image is quite dramatic, this tells us she is from the
pop genre. It looks as if she is stood outside a building; this is quite
simple which represents the pop genre as there is nothing extreme.
There is a lot of pastel colours in the advert which again shows us
that the music is going to be of a pop genre

It is difficult to see the narrative events on a still image, due to the
image being a medium shot and the main character looking towards
the camera it would tell the audience that she likes being on stage! I
think this because of the stern face she is pulling which represents
the drama. However the main protagonist doesn’t look very happy
which could show a relationship that has gone bad or another
problem that she has.
Iconography – props,

The only iconography her top and the title which is white, the white
represents innocence and makes her look childlike, the sky in the
background also shows a sense of innocence due to the blue and
white colours, this is opposite with her red lips as red connotes
anger and death, this could resemble the song.
Setting- mise enscene The mise en scene is very simple there is not a lot going on in the
frame. There is just a backdrop of a sky and the top of a building
with Lana Del Rey as the main image. The light colours could show
the happiness in the song however her facial expression shows
sadness.

There is high key lighting on the whole image which shows
innocence and happiness. This is a binary opposition to her facial
expression as she looks unhappy and serious. The medium shot
shows her outfit which is a white top, this again shows innocence.
