installation of lampp in linux

1. Hi friends today i learned about LAMP in OPEN SOURCE,so i want share this with you May 14

2. What is LAMP L= linux A=appache http server M=mysql P=php

3. Step 1:To install Initially download Xamp1.7.2 from the url: http://sourceforge.net/projects/xamppfiles/xampp%20Linux/1.7.2/xampp-linux-1.7.2.tar.gz/downlload

4. Step 2 Goto Applications->Accesories->terminal

5. Step 3 Type cd downloads Instead of downloads specify location where u downloaded XAMP

6. Step 4 Type dir to know the list of direcrories in that particular folder

7. Step 5 To copy the Xampp file from Downloads to opt folder use” sudo cp filename /opt”

8. Step 6 To view whether Xampp is copied correctly ”cd /opt”

9. Step 7 To extraxt Xampp file ”sudo tar -xfz filename”

10. Step 8 To come outside of destination folder use ” cd ..”

11. step9 To start the lampp server ”sudo /opt/lampp/lampp start”

12. step10 To stop the lampp server ”sudo /opt/lampp/lampp stop”

13. Step 10 To test the installation is good ” http://localhost”
