The video now stands as a
completely unique bridge
between the creative and
corporate spheres of the art
world and the music scene. More
than anything, it demonstrates
FauxTales’ innovative visual style
and flair for costume design and
overall art direction. Drawing
on their individual strengths in
all realms of production design,
illustration and photography,
the duo have created a music
video that pushes the envelope
with a visually daring universe of
artifice and fantasy. The promo
combines live action with retro,
computerised animation and
harksbacktothegroundbreaking
golden age of early 80s music
videos, but with a thoroughly
modern, visceral style. In much
the same way as 80s computer
games and Electronica looked to
the future for inspiration, “Three
More Days” looks to the past,
and combined with its hyper-
modern fashion influences,
creates a unique fragment of
retro-futurist pop culture…
“Three More Days” is Stephen and Simon’s first
music video and one in which they built a fantasy
world entirely from scratch. Self-produced on
a miniscule budget, the promo began life as a
conceptual video installation with an Electro
soundtrack, before
creating enough of a
buzz to be optioned
as a music video in its
own right by Planet

sponges, FauxTales are a new directing duo comprised of
two young Irish artists – Simon Allen and Stephen Lally –

passionate, they represent a dynamic new directing team
