This document describes a case study of a 30-year-old female patient with excessive gingival display, or a "gummy smile", measuring 7 mm. After analyzing facial proportions, it was determined that gingivectomy and osteoplasty procedures would be performed to reduce the gingival display by excising thick fibrous gingival tissue and reshaping the underlying bone. The procedures successfully increased the clinical crown lengths and reduced gingival exposure during smiling. Follow up at 6 months showed satisfactory healing and an improved smile esthetic for the patient.
