This document discusses conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and its relationship to cancer. CLA is a beneficial fat found in grass-fed animal fat that can block all three stages of cancer growth. Studies show women who consume more CLA have a lower risk of breast cancer. While isolated CLA supplements may decrease cancer growth, CLA from milk or animal fat is more effective. CLA is an anti-inflammatory compound, and getting it through diet provides benefits that supplements lack due to side effects from synthetic forms of CLA.
