• Using the same groups in the reporting, each group will be
assigned to each of the periods (ancient, middle, and
modern), and the other group/s for Philippine Inventions.
• Group 1-ancient, 2-middle, 3-modern, 4-Philippine
Inventions, 5-ancient, 6-Philippine Inventions
• Each group should search for one great achievement during
the assigned time period aside from those mentioned in the
chapter.

2. ACTIVITY 2: STANDING ON THE
SHOULDER OF THE GIANTS
• Each group will accomplish the following:
1. Draw or print a picture of your chosen achievement.
2. Collect and paste these inventions on a ¼ illustration
board.
3. Design the board with a theme appropriate to the
assigned time period.
4. Explain in your own words how each invention works.
5. Additionally, identify their use and purpose.

people and the society during the period when they were
made.
7. Paste the information at the back of the illustration board.
