Education and Qualifications
University of Rijeka - Technical Faculty, dept. for mechanical engineering (1991-1997), graduated on a
thesis “Hydrostatic drive of the forklift truck wheel”. Graduation project evaluated as excellent, overall grade
very good. Achieved degree of Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (M.Sc. ME).
Electro technical School (1986 - 1990) – High School Graduation Certificate
Computer Literacy: advanced in the following: ICT networks, MS Windows, MS Office, MS Project,
AutoCAD basics.

Member of the Board of Directors / CEO, MCZ d.o.o. (January 2015 – present). Position includes planning,
execution and follow-up of Greenfield Investment in pellet stoves factory together with setting up of entire
work organization, including production, technology, HR, ICT, maintenance, supply, planning, legal and
regulation compliance.

Executive Director, MEP d.o.o. (October 2013 – December 2014). Position includes creation, development
and implementation of investments realised through organic and/or external growth within electric power
and/or ICT industry. Furthermore, position includes business processes optimisation, productivity
enhancement and cost reduction.
Chairman of the Board, MGK-pack d.d. (January 2004 – May 2013). Position includes managing of the share
holding company for production of metal packaging for food and chemical industry. Since the management
tasks within the sole Management board were divided into two sectors, the position of COB includes authority
and responsibility for the entire business operation, with special attention paid to a diligent optimization and
coordination of the overall production process of the Company.
Member of the Supervisory Board, Pluto d.d. (July 2006 – December 2012) – MGK-pack’s daughter
company, producer of metal closers, acquired in 2006.
Manager of Conversion Department, Shipyard Viktor Lenac (October, 2002 – January, 2004). Position
includes managing of Ship Conversion Department and supervision of conversion projects from the bidding
stage to completion of the contract, as well as follow up of vessel conversion market, advertising, sales.
Senior Project Engineer in Conversion Department, Shipyard Viktor Lenac (January, 1999 – October,
2002). Position includes managing of ship conversions, commencing with the conversion tender to completion
of the works (including bidding for the tender, solving any technical, organizational, financial and legal issues,
co-ordinating all parties involved in such projects). Among other areas, position includes working on
conversion projects for the following vessels: cable layers, pipe layers, drillships, tankers, seismic vessels.
Ship Manager Assistant, Viktor Lenac Shipyard, (February 1998 - January 1999). Position includes managing
of ship repair works (ship repairs work organization, work co-ordination, solving technical issues)
R-project; ship design office, (February 1998 – September 1998, part time job). Job includes further
development and design of ship’s drawings in AutoCAD R14.

Awarded by Croatian Chamber of Economy, Rijeka branch, with “Zlatna kuna” award for running most
successful company in mid-size companies’ category.
Member of the Executive Board of Croatian Employers Association, HUP, Metal Manufacturing Industry
branch.
Successful running of the Company from 2004 to 2013, meeting all the objectives set by the Company’s
business plans for every year, approved by the Supervisory board, including the profit margins, reached as
planned.
Increase of productivity per employee by 30% from 2004 to 2013, compared to 2003
Increase of production volume by 40% and services by 60% from 2004 to 2013, compared to 2003.
Increase of revenue by 40% from 2004 to 2013, compared to 2003.
Acquisition of the joint-stock company Pluto from Zagreb, May to September 2006. Responsible for the
takeover process. Management of due diligence of technical and production part of the company as well as of
the legal and human resources part. Taking part in the company’s value assessment, making the offer for the
acquisition, negotiating with major shareholders and board of directors of the company; negotiated with the
bank the terms of financing the takeover. Responsible for compliance of the takeover process with legal
regulations; communication with all the regulatory and supervisory bodies of the Republic of Croatia.

The negotiations ended successfully in taking over of more than 90% of the shares of Pluto at the price lower
than the one offered by the competition.

CS “Oceanic Princess” - project of conversion of a General Cargo/ Ro-Ro vessel into a Deep Sea Cable
Laying Vessel. Value of the Contract was 17.4 mil USD.
Sales Phase: Management of complete offer process including: co-coordinating and leading Sales Project
Team as Sales Project Manager, inspection of the vessel, estimation of overall project cost, bidding
process, developing/awarding the contract, negotiating the price and contract terms, assistance during the
signature of the contract, contracting main sub-contractors.
Production Phase: Joined the Conversion Project Team as Deputy Project Manager, responsible for: all
contacts with the ship owner, negotiating additional works, clarifying contractual terms, contracting
development of technical documentation, overall cost management/control of the conversion project,
organising procurements and supply of all Yard’s special equipment/ machinery, contact person for all
Owner supply equipment, negotiating the final conversion price.
Awarded by the Company Management for successful completion of the project
Implementation of ISO 9000: 2001 in the Shipyard
CS “ARCOS” – cable laying vessel new building project – Project Manager Assistant responsible for
accommodation outfitting, ventilation & acclimatization, float-off operation.

Family, Hobbies and Interests
I like travelling and have visited many countries including Italy, U.S.A., U.K., Germany, Norway, Spain, Austria,
etc. both on business and in my spare time. I also enjoy sports, especially skiing, fitness and bicycling and I
practice them whenever I have some free time. I also enjoy reading, particularly science/technology, nature and
history. In addition, I have a keen interest in music and film.
