Teemu Frisk introduces Koodipolku, an initiative to build a community around code school groups. Koodipolku aims to empower people and promote diversity and equality in technology. It would provide continuity for people after code school events to help address the major hurdle of lack of continuity once events end. The project site is at http://koodipolku.info/ and Frisk is looking for passionate people to help regardless of coding skills or IT experience.

10+ years of exp in many positions such as engineer, tester, tech
support, pm, consultant, devops, etc.

Nothing good ever comes out when only white dudebros gather.
Diversity is a good thing.
Let's face it; if you attend these kind of tech meetups you are propably more or less privileged.

6. How?
Rails Girls started the code school movement in 2010.
Many others appeared
ClojureBridge Finland has arranged 4 events since 2015.
Linda Liukas wrote her Hello Ruby book.
Dads are teaching coding to their kids.
Coding is coming to schools soon.
Programming is no longer only for programmers.

7. How?
Coding events are very popular and places are sold out quickly.
People are generally satisfied by the events but often want more than
we can give afterwards.
Continuity is a major hurdle → I want to help here.
