 Teacher explains the meaning of difficult words
along with their usage.
 Teacher concludesthe chapterby giving the
assignment where studentshave to write a letter to
a friend imagining the life of the doctorin the
rented room.
Reflection:
Teacher starts the class with an excerpt from the
novel of Vaikom Mohammad Basheer, which
surprises the audience, but as the chapter’sauthoris
Basheer himself it is a good start. Teacher greets the
students and starts the class, on a first look itself
teacher appears energetic and full of positive vibes.
Teacher talks about thebook which she was reading
at the beginning , the style in which she introduces
the author generates curiosity in the audience, the
teacher appears very confident and comfortable, it
seems that she is enjoying her work and one never
feels that he/she is listening a class. Her hand and
eye movements were near perfect and impressive.
She explains the paragraph with relevant questions
from the same, I especially liked her tone and
expressions.
But let me mention that I have never seen a teacher
teaching the tenth standard with such elegance,
professionalism and politeness which appears
unrealistic and may give a wrong impression to the
beginners that managing a class is an easy affair, the
real classroom setting has its own strictness and is
not a bed of roses as it appears.
But the class observed was an excellent one.
Visuals Presented:
 Presentation about the author’s profile.
 Text Presentation
 Questions based on the paragraph.
 Pictures related to the text
 Description about theroom and housewith pictures.
