3. What is Empathy?
 Empathy means being able understand and share how
someone else is feeling without them telling you.
 Empathy means walking in another person’s shoes,
understanding their viewpoints and recognising their
emotions, whether or not you have experienced them
before.
 People’s facial expressions and body language usually
give clues about how they are feeling.
 Empathy is important as its a quality and virtue, which
makes us feel cared for and loved.
