2. Masthead: the masthead of
the magazine has been
carried through to the not
contents page. This is not a
usual thing for a music
magazine or any type of
magazine would do as its
against the laws of
magazines.
Image: this main image on the
contents page follows
conventions. It is linked to one
of the stories in the magazine
and is also linked to a story
through the anchoring with a
page number. This is also an
image in direct address which
the front cover lack the use of
so it makes up for that as well.
Contents Index: this is a
specific thing to this
magazine on the contents
page. It gives the heading to
each topic that the magazine
will be talking about ranging
from news to reviews and
even gig information.
Issue Number/Dateline: the issue
number and date of release are
mentioned again in the top right
hand corner of the page. This
does not really happen in many
magazines because they mention
it on the outside with the
barcode.
Page Numbers: each new story that
features in the magazine have their
own page and page number. Each
of the stories that are mentioned
on the contents page are given the
page number in brackets next to it.
They are all in numerical order as
well. Even the main image has a
page number next to it.
Editors message: this is not one of the
conventions of a magazine so people do
not have to include it when making one.
However this little message from the editor
about his feeling and his experience about
the festival that is mentioned in the main
cover line of the magazine.
