Introduction The Cabinet Committee Report on the Review of the Implementation of the Education Policy 1979 states that  the method of teaching in Malaysia is to enable school leavers to use the knowledge in everyday situations and work situations as well as to pursue higher education
History 1982  - 305 schools were chosen all over M’sia for a trial period of KBSR. 1983  – Implementation of KBSR in all schools in M’sia 1984  – “Amalan Perdagangan” is revised and changed into Living Skills (Kemahiran Hidup)
History (cont.) 1988 – Stated in NEP: “Pendidikan di  Malaysia adalah suatu usaha berterusan ke arah memperkembangkan lagi potensi individu secara menyeluruh dan bersepadu untuk mewujudkan insan yang harmonis dan seimbang dari segi intelek, rohani, emosi, dan jasmani berdasarkan kepercayaan dan kepatuhan kepada Tuhan. Usaha ini adalah bagi melahirkan rakyat Malaysia yang berilmu pengetahuan, berketrampilan, berakhlak mulia, bertanggungjawab dan berkeupayaan mencapai kesejahteraan diri serta memberi sumbangan terhadap keharmonian dan kemakmuran masyarakat dan negara.”
History (cont.) 1993 -  Kurikulum Baru Sekolah Rendah    Kurikulum Bersepadu Sekolah Rendah. 1994  – “Alam Dan Manusia”    Sains & Kajian Tempatan.
Aims The syllabus for primary school aims to equip learners with basic skills and knowledge of the subjects so as to enable them to communicate, both orally and in writing, in and out of school.
KBSR … purpose To master basic, thinking and social skills To acquire new knowledge To inculcate moral value To develop +ve attitude, creativity and hidden talent To instill patriotism and nationalism To love and appreciate nature To realize the importance of Health, Science and Technology
Objective To master BM   satisfactory level Target: 3M To establish strong foundation of mathematical skills Using English suits to its context(L2) Acquire new knowledge and expand prior knowledge Having high leadership skills and self-confidence
Objective Awareness towards human and environment Expanding talent and creativity(arts) Mastering the scientific and technical skills Actively participate in cultural events    better understanding Aware the importance of health and self-fitness
Objective To master RMU for Muslims   certain Quranic verses
