2. Motivation
- I believe being an active citizen is one of the most vital parts of the economy.
- Voting is one of the main ways to engage in your political system, although there are a few other ways.
-Things such as a simple vote can change the outcome of our country and I think it is very important that each
citizen plays their part as an active participant, so it has an equal chance.
- Not only can voting make a give someone the chance to express their beliefs but it also makes a big difference
in the political field. There are many things that could be updated within this world today, but we could also re-
evaluate our values and make a change to get our nation to become more efficient and better for all people.
- I think we do have many freedoms as Americans, and we are very blessed to experience them, though if the
chance were given, I would change how close we stand. I think it will be beneficial to become more united and
help us become stronger and more efficient.
3. Thoughts
-One main thing I have learned from taking
this class was the entirety of the Articles of
Confederation and Constitution. I have, of
course, read about them and seen them
here and there though, I have never
dissected them in such a way that this class
has shown me. I have been able to learn
more about many amendments and more
rights we were given in the Constitution. I
have also learned more about the positions
of government and I have had the
opportunity to see different viewpoints on
these political subjects.

4. Issues
I believe there are many economical issues faced today
and may even be faced in the future. Many people
struggle to afford basic living necessities because of
market values and prices. Although Trump has taken
initiative and created more jobs for the unemployed, I
still wonder if he/they can keep up. The world is turning
at every moment and we can never know what to
expect, but if issues such as these continue to increase,
many citizens will find it very difficult to provide for
themselves and their families.

5. Amendment 17
Although all the amendments are quite important, I
chose to speak out on this one because of the
freedom given with the power of voting. I think it
gives a sense of fairness and allows people to
choose more of what they want rather than the
government choosing for us. I think some
undervalue our right to vote and they might not
realize that is in more of our favor.

6. Summary
One of the many things that this class has done for me is
allowing me to feel comfortable sharing my thoughts with
others on these topics. I have never really taken the
opportunity to express my thoughts and values from a
political view in such a mature manner. Though every time I
have seen people discuss politics it does not always turn out
great. I understand that not everyone has the same opinion,
but I think it is important to be able to discuss the
differences among us rather than criticize them, which is
what the discussion board did for me.
