24. Strengths
● Teacher can remove any players that make nicknames that are inappropriate.
● Teacher is the one to start the game and proceed to the next question.
● Students are timed which adds a sense of urgency to answer the questions
quickly, but correctly.
● Healthy competition
● Motivation and bong reward sounds after every question
● Can be player vs. player or as a team (team building opportunities)
● Fun music is played throughout
● Survey information is shown using bar graphs. Students could go on to use
this information to make their own.
25. Weaknesses
● Discussion is very fast paced and only allows one question. A real discussion
may have more than one point of view. A real discussion may also have no
real answer (meaning the answer may be up to the interpreter).
● Sometimes pictures do not show up correctly and are too far stretched.
● Teacher cannot press finished when students are done with a problem.
Students are timed in their answers. Teacher can adjust this time, but not
during game play.
● Music could be distracting to some students and/or teacher.
● Questions cannot be seen by students after the quiz to review.
● Some students may become overly competitive.
● Possible lengthy log in process and inability to see number of students logged
in without counting names.
26. Possible Classroom Uses
● Teacher could do a survey with students and ask students to use the data
they conducted to create their own bar graph.
● Teacher could quiz students to see what they know and may not know
● Teacher can ask students to debate upon a question and after the debate see
if their conclusion was true using the kahoot discussion game.
● I would ask students to order major events using the jumble game and then
create their own timeline using the information.
27. Possible Cautions
● Website requires teacher email.
● Teacher will need to have practiced using this technology before allowing
students to use it.
● Teacher will need to stand at the front of the room and make sure students
are inputting appropriate nicknames. Students may be required to put in their
first name (better for assessment).
● Students can become overly competitive especially during team games.
● (Unavailable to the Public) The game pin is constantly changing so one
cannot put in the game pin before game play.
