This document describes the fabrication of an automated electronic shopping trolley. The trolley is equipped with ultrasonic sensors for obstacle avoidance and can follow a user wearing an IR tag. The trolley design includes mechanical components like rear axles, a frame, and motor clamps. Gear calculations are provided for the drive motor. The working principle involves an IR emitter tag worn by the user that activates the trolley to follow. Ultrasonic sensors allow it to stop for obstructions and follow at a preset distance from the user. When out of range, it will call the user's name to reconnect. The goal is to make shopping more convenient and enjoyable for users.
