Responsibilities
• Making appointments with customers to expedite their service experience
• ·Determining vehicle needs on the basis of customer information regarding problems by listening to
their description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; refer the vehicle and customer’s
service history and conduct inspections through vehicle walk-around.
• ·Explain the customer with the requested service and provide detailed explanation and technical
justification for additional repairs with cost that is needed for the vehicle
• ·Estimate the costs and time needed for servicing. Prepare repair orders by describing symptoms,
problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval
signatures; entering repair order into service database system.
• ·Advise customers on the proper care for their vehicle and the importance of proper maintenance.
• Follow-up with customers on the
status of their vehicle, based on how the customer wants and ensure their satisfaction.
• ·Check on the progress of the vehicle during servicing ; contact the customer regarding changes
and obtain authorization before further repairs are performed by communicating in detail the
additional service that is needed
• ·Review repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is
noted.Close repair orders as appropriate and keep service department forms, menus and pricing
guides up-to-date.
• ·Supervise completion of pre-delivery inspections, cleaning, and prepping of new and used
